Ohh, I was thinking of freezing that one, best leave it then lol
Why would you remove such an important app?
You need that filter to get proper Play optimized games.
If you've enabled setinstalllocation2 you're going to have to revert to setinstalllocation0, reboot, reinstall. Only way to get it back on as sys.
Then you can go back to setinstalllocation 2

Was randomly checking if there was any updates available and indeed there was. It downloaded a 10mb file and flashed it automatically.
Not sure what the update did though, anyone have any ideas?

When you say 'flashed it' did this wipe all settings back to factory?
Don't think it killed any settings.

Nope, it didn't wipe anything. It just messed up my custom application arrangement in the app draw, but that's nothing too bad.
the only thing I noticed so far is that it added BBC iPlayer... only for UK users though.
I haven't noticed no difference! No BBC iPlayer app either (am UK Based).
Would be good if they can get the current games out working with the hard keys. Hate using the virtual joypad etc..
My bad, just noticed I have the BBC iPlayer app after the update.

other than BBC iPlayer, it also improved the Xperia Play app. Before the update when you purchase a game using the Xperia Play app, the game will not be available in the app, you have to exist and open the game in the app drawer, but now it'll automatically be available using just Xperia Play app

Just got every Gameloft game and I can confirm it does add them in the menu yes.
Did they take out game gripper?
I just got the new psx4droid and was gnnause gamegripper which I thought I had but its not there so I guess I neverdownloaded it, but when I go to the market its not there either
Could it be cuz of the xperia play? I thought it was gonna usher in a nw age of gaming for android but its starting to look like its doing the opposite..

Gamegripper as in the ROM finder app? I have it installed on my phone but you're right, it's no longer on the market. As for the n64 emulator, it was removed due to the dev taking it down to re-release it at a later time (after most bug fixes) due to negative feedback.
It does appear that Google is removing these apps due to piracy of ROMs, though.
EDIT: Spelt 'but" wrong. haha

Kind of hints that Play Station Suite is on the horizon.
According to this thread - http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/com..._to_rom_gripper_has_google_remotely/?sort=hot
The gripper was removed due to the ROM database being offline.
I actually know how to get some of those pulled apps...I can't say the site though because of the apps are warez.
you dont need an app to get roms..
The guy pulled the n64 app to give it an overhaul. Something lik 2 months b4 a release.
As far as Psx4droid goes.. I bought v2 a few days b4 it was pulled. I pulled my apk file b4 flashing a new rom B)

Hence why I back up every apk I actually buy to my SD card with root explorer

i did back it up via TB but for some reason when I had to Restore via CWM because of FC's(another story) TB wouldn't let me restore the App. It has the Data but the app just says"?".
oh well... i guess I'll shoot them an email.

Good idea. My opinion is definitely invest in root explorer. It lets you navigate directly to the data/app folder and you can copy+paste the apk to your SD. Plus it has a remount rw/ro button that beats the hell out of using terminal emulator to do it.

This method was tested on a Rooted Thunderbolt running stock rom. Original post was from myTouch 4G. I played Fruit Ninja HD and Plants vs Zombies HD without a problem. May not work on all games.
Install:
Go to the Market and download "[ROOT] ChainFire 3D". You can use the Free version, or just go ahead and chalk up the $4 for the paid version.
Download the Nividia Lib from HERE. Put on /sdcard/
Install CF3D Driver by clicking Install/upgrade/ uninstall CF3D driver.
Then Set the CF3D as the Driver. It will run a script and reboot.
Open Chainfire3D:
Install Plugin
(will search your /sdcard/ and show
Install Plugin
libGLEMU_NVIDIA.zip
Click the Nivida Plug-in. It will install it. When you see plug-in install complete. Press back button, and select
Default OpenGL Settings.
Click: Use plugin. Select Nvidia. Exit !
********Missing HD Apps in the Market?
Option 1: Buy the pro version of Chainfire 3D and use the fix market option in the app
Option 2: Edit build.prop. ****Solution thanks to Thunder Droid

Ok I'm running BAMF RC1..
Went into build prop and changed what is listed, rebooted, and now I can see the tegra games , in market, I searched for "tegra" ;-)......
Changes:
ro.product.model=Olympus
ro.product.brand=verizon_wwe
ro.product.name=Olympus
ro.product.device=Olympus
ro.product.board=mecha
Of course do this with root explorer, and save and exit then reboot, once your back up, go and clear market data, good luck!

The ones I don't use are deleted and the rest are small enough I don't bother.
And AndroHero thanks for your sarcasm. I was simply stating a fact. I have never moved them, and as a result, I also wasn't aware they can't function on external sd.
