so as it comes to be, my friend former iphone 3g owner decided to pick up the htc hd2 from tmobile, all went well with it for the first couple days, but now shes constantly complaining about email connectivity issues, and her email will randomly dissapear and not be able to connect and slow lagginess on the phone causes her to throw temper tantrums . also for some reason her music is not showing up correctly... on top of that shes using att on the hd2 unlocked , all the settings have been configured but the rom is still on the stock tmobile rom.. so my question to you guys is what would be her best bet at a rom which is extremely user friendly and doesnt have too many options (so basically something like the tmobile rom without the tmobile bloatware and settings on it) something liek a stock hd2 rom , but i know i cant put that because of the radio issues... if anyone can help id greatly appreciate it because i know the true capabilities of this phone and unfortunatly im flashing a ne rom every day, she wants something she can use daily , stable , fast and super user friendly
Try flashing Kumar's rom its the closest feel to the stock rom that I have found. What type of email is she using? I use active sync with gmail and I found that it works the best because its a push email setup. Also you have to remember that since she is on at&t she will not get the 3g speeds so data is going to be slow.
well the data speed is ok and she uses yahoo, but just randomly her emails will get erased or shell get synchronization errors, even though her internet works.. its truly something that confuses the living hell out of me , and which kumar are we talking about what flavor ?

I run Kumar premium and its the best to my liking. First thing she needs to do is get rid of yahoo mail, its crap. With my clients that have yahoo have nothing but problems, everyone else is fine. Tell her to get gmail works great and is super easy to set up.

I have the same setup. I have an unlocked TMOUS HD2 that I'm using on AT&T's carrier network. I didn't like the stock rom as it had tons of useless apps I would never use. So I HPSL'ed it and flashed it with Kumar's Lite 1.9 WWE rom. Try that and see if she likes that. Also let her know that some of the stalling and other issues could be because of the faulty/laggy MicroSD card. If she still experiences issues, have her take out her sd card for a while to see if she still experiences it. If she doesn't then she's got a bad card. Some people do, some people don't. The only problem with the lite rom is it is exactly that...Lite! So if she wants swype she will have to install that seperately. Same for Cookie tabs and other things.
Kumar's ROM is definitely the best that I've used so far. Also, see what radio she's running and possibly try flashing to a different one to see if that makes a difference.

So far for me the Desire v5 has been rock solid. I've had only one person say they hear an echo from me. This was after I loaded the JMZ cab. Don't know if that's the reason? Everything else works pretty stable enough for me. I can't save pictures from the internet though (save as-- get's an error and forces a quit).
Froyo with the latest Cotulla zImage runs good too. I like it alot better(v1) but market place will not download apps and mobile network internet works kindof. I can't login to certin sites, Facebook for one but the facebook app works fine. WiFi all sites work. I do already have my t-mo APNs in there.
WHAT WORKS FOR YOU= ROMS AND ALL?
PS are these ROMs considered rooted?

For me: I'm using Energy Rom (July 21) with Radio 2.12.50.02_2 and HSPL 2 and everything works fine except the Battery.. Desire v5 is kinda using alot of battery and Dans build is much worse and it kinda lags and things, and since i'm having that Sleep of death thing... i deleted it

Hi, I'm using Desire V5, works like a charm. Unique problem is battery drain (lasts 8 hours with no data connection).
My settings: a 4GB class 2 SD, radio 2.12.50.02_2. The rom is the Axlor Leo v3.5 (win 23569). I can't hear people speaking in the phone, but they can hear me (but I know it's a winmo ROM problem)

Exactly same ROM/RAM but using Leo_RADIO_2.07.50.27_2.
Everything works great but I don't seem to get GPS working with Google Navigation. How to test if GPS is working?
It isn't. Probably won't for some time. Don't think this is a dev priority.
I'm using stock wimo from htc 1.66, only updated the radio rom to 2.10.50.19.2. I'm using now dan1j3l-LeoFroyo-Sense-PR1 and it works good. There are some things bugging me. Can't get GPS to work, camera does not work, and with this build i get diferent icons on top (battery and signal) then with the stock nexus one rom, is this a cab that has to be uninstalled.
I'm can already switch between sense and stock, so thats good.
For the rest everyting works well and i would say that it is for me almost a daily use rom.
Anybody any idea how to get gps working and camera?
I got 1 ? How do I get rid of the robotic voice during calls? I have tmobile stock rom 2.13 and radio 2.10.50.26 and desire build v5 I also used nospeedy zimage. I need help everything else works great!

I didn't do anything special. When I started my Android journey, I couldn't get anything to load. Then I realized I had an outdated radio. I've always liked Dutty's ROMs so I loaded the one below and the most recent radio I could find.
I boot into WinMO. I already have HTC Sense killed because I just use SPB Mobile shell. I kill SPB Mobile shell and press CLRCAD.exe, then Haret.
I retested to make sure they're working. The GPS isn't working off WiFi. Google Maps always knows where I'm at and weather location is always where I'm at. I'm assuming GPS is working then.
However, I may be mistaken about the camcorder. I fires up and I and zoom in/out. However, double clicking the screen and it doesn't seem to be recording to memory.

---> settings ->Applications ->manage applications ->All ->HTC sense -> Force stop. then select the home button and there you can select HTC sense or Launcher.

So I have been flashing different Roms and installing different Android builds like crazy since I got this HD2 2 days ago LoL... My big ? is why when I use a Non Sense build my Data and Wifi work perfectly fine but when I install a Sense Build of Android my Data and Wifi is really spotty and dead slow? I'd really appreciate if someone could look further into this because I really love the Sense Builds.

Some builds change the APN/DNS settings. Search my thread or through XDA for answers for those settings. Also, dialing #*#*4636*#*# you'll be able to switch between settings; make sure that you enable data through the Windows button.
Hello there. I have one question. Using a few random ROMs from a random chiefs I temporary stopped at Evolution 2.5a. but finded a few bugs like incorrect working Camera's interface and troubles with internet sharing. internet sharing via ICS is dummying after some time sharing internet over Wi-Fi is dummying too, after a short time too. I tried to use standard HTC tools for create connection - unuseful. Also tried Morose Media WMWiFiRouter - result wrote earlier. Can anyone tells me, in currient ROMs this bug with internet still present or not?
and what ROM you can advise?

Dblaster, thanx for your advise, i'll try Pajerm's ROM few days later. Tonight (it still downloading) I'll flash igomyown's ROM forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178025. in testing process I maybe find needed for me services and stay on this ROM. maybe not and try something else.
also it was great idea use Opal as wi-fi router)
and now i needed a internet, but every time install / uninstall SIM can damage Opal, what I can't accept.

Dblaster, Hello. I've tried suggested ROM, but it doesn't fit to my needs. With Internet Sharing this rom works like Jagan's Evolution 2,5A..

Hi there, Robertins. I'll try this rom, but I think it can have such problems with Internet Sharing. Can you test this part of rom? And also test a WiFi Router with functions 3g to WiFi and 3g to USB and report how it works with opal?
all problem that I have a slow connection and a limited traffic on this time and can not download much roms.. Soon this problem will be solved, and in that case Opal with correctly working ICS (internet connection sharing) will not be needed.

specific problem is in that Inet sharing works a _wery_short time and hangs (it looks like all correctly working but no ping to any serv) in random types of using (as I wrote ICS by HTC / WM tools and by WiFi Router in random usage - 3g to USB and 3g to WiFi). There is a problem. As I thinking it may be linked with type of PPC. Because I tried few ROMs. All of them have same simptomes of this kind of work with HTC Opal.
I try to find where exactly problem covered. Because I (and maybe someone other users) needed in this functions.
Have u tried this thing with the stock rom yet???
I don't remember if the internet sharing was in it or not.

Yep, in stock rom ICS present, but works as in WM6.5 and 6.5.3 terrible(
