Okay, I'm sorry, but I have to point this out. You watched and posted the youtube link that says that this wallpaper does NOT work on any phone as of right now. I quote verbatim now what this guy said "This wallpaper will work with any honeycomb tablet, but as of right now does not work on ANY SMARTPHONE.".

I understand this but he did ask for a PORT. Isn't that what a port is? Isn't this how we get new stuff on the vibrant forums............. mainly by ports? I understand it may never happen but it wasnt a stupid question as you are trying to make it seem.
It actually works on Galaxy S ii.

I've been noticing a lot of the apps on the market stating that we all have press release versions of Froyo. Is this true?
Can you give some examples?
Haven't seen this.

and look at this http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/22/android-2-2s-froyo-goodness-hitting-the-nexus-one-already/ check out the 3rd update
We've done some additional investigation, and as far as we can tell, Google is only updating review Nexus Ones that had been provided to the press -- not off-the-shelf phones. We'll stay on this and let you know more as soon as we do.

If that turns out to be the case, we will get the new file so we can flash it; if not we can alway download the old 2.1 update file, flash and then let the OTA hit the phone.

Really? I thought everyone interested enough in tinkering with gadgets (aka nerds, JK ) knew Freeman, the famous silent protagonist armed with the mighty crowbar. Or maybe I'm just getting old and ppl don't play PC games anymore.
Anyway, hopefully a new rom will come. I still have problems mounting the SD card which sometimes causes crashes. And also missing market links.

I saw the comparison sheet for the EVO shift today. It compares the EVO Shift, EVO, Epic to T-Mobile's myTouch and G2. At the bottom of the page it says "Coming soon Android 2.2 for Samsung Epic 4G. Details to follow."

When it comes to Froyo, the operative phrase is 'tickling our a** with a feather.'
It is on Sprint's dealer portal, which most of you can't get in to. If someone wants to host it, I can send it along.

Can u print screen it or submit a picture?
Had to download PrintKey, because Windows and Paint didn't like me using Print Screen with dual displays. Something about not enough ram when I still have nearly a gig free. Anyway, here's a screen shot. It's big. I'm in 1440x900.
edit: Well, crap. XDA resizes pictures when they're posted. What I'm talking about is in that little yellow bubble on the right.

LMAO, yes it does. No 1 fn told you the difference between posting a picture by uploading it to xda, and hosting it somewhere else to use an img tag. There is no url for the pic. If the picture was already on the web somewhere, I could have used an img tag. But when you add a pic to a post as an attachment, it resizes it for you.
So, I've gone and hosted it at imgur. Here's your pic.

+1 I would thank as well but am also out. lol oh well. As for the picture...I find the phrasing 'details to follow' to be odd as it generally implies details will be following in very short succession. What other features?
Never live in the past but always learn from it.
Their whole point to introduce this device as a security featured phone that can be adopted in the corporate world. Hardware encryption, the use of Webex for secure meetings, Kies security for remote management.
Well face unlock is a really bad feature since it usually works with pictures too... If they fixed that, it is a great feature.
wow, thats crappy.... We will have to wait and see how it functions.
i'll say they should replace it with a Eye Retina Scan
put your eye right next to the back camera
flash
recognition scan
unlocked
It's the thin version.

thanks, that display does look good against the ipad 2
It also looks like stock honeycomb with no Samsung ui on top of it.
Sent this message from my Samsung Vibrant running 2.2 stock!
Seeing as this is the first time the thin 10.1 has been in public with a working OS, it is probably still an unpolished version. There were a few times when it didn't seem that responsive (could be with the way the person was using it) but hopefully, whatever quirks, laginess etc is in the device can be ironed out by the time it is released publicly.
Damn ... I want it now

It's not the viewing angles, it's the lights that were reflected on it. Not a problem for me, just other people I feel bad for.
One of the main reason's I'll buy this tablet is the screen.

What..? What do you mean "It's not the viewing angles.. it's the lights...", I know that lol. The reflection of the lights has to do with the glossy screen. I am very curious to know if this model of the tab is even using the PLS screen~

I'm surprised this video hasn't made its way onto the popular tech sites. Many people kept claiming that "Samsung is lying.", that they probably couldn't even get the tablets this thin for real. And now here is the proof and there is only one small little thread for it over here at xda.
