Hello, I am just now experiencing my first Android days. I was wondering, if it's me which cannot understand at all, or some small differences in beheavior of the system depends on the rom. I'm trying now the
MCCM HD 4.5 (Desire HD)
and the
[SD] BOYPPC_SHIFTPDA GINGER 2.3.4 Sense.s V9 (14.May)
and on the MCCM i just cannot find the settings for the Power Control (to decide how many controls you want on the bar) and, the torch is just switching off by itself if I put the phone in standby. On the Boyppc Rom the flash is keeping on, which I need. On the MCCM I tried also several torch applications but I think it depends on something else, can I get rid of those two things somehow? Thanks!

I believe it's a Darkstone variety 2.2 (or 2.1 it's based on a Nexus One)
1. Does Haptic feedback work in this build yet?
2. Robo Call Voice
3. And my principal concern is that it seems my phone only outputs in Mono while the phone seems to be outputting songs and stuff in two channel stereo
Any one got any recommendations on how to fix these issues? Because if these things are addressed I'm pretty much happy with Android.
Fixes
Well first off if you have the robotic voice issue you probably also have the issue where songs play very high pitch (too fast)
To fix that, you need to install an Android compatible Windows Mobile build (like Energy Leo, Clarity, Multimedia Super, etc.) most of them will be listed on the Android Development section (in HTC Leo/HD2).
Afterwards it will be fixed
For the Sleep of Death issues (if you do experience that) you need to flash the TMO US 2.12 radio. It gets rid of it
Haptic feedback (vibration) works in keyboards, menu selection, and basically everywhere it should be working
Any other questions?
I'm running stock T-Mobile settings (I just installed the Android build)
Which Win Mobile build do you recommend?
and could you point me in the direction of like a tutorial on how to flash ROMs and Radios?
Thank you for all the help, I'm loving how helpful people here are to one another.

it doesn't work on mattc 1.7
Everything works for me on shubCRAFT 1.5. Try out a non-sense look.
Hactic Feedback
I can't seem to turn the haptic feedback OFF in FroyoStone_Sense_V3.1.
I would really like to stay with a sense build.
First of all, sorry if this thread is out of place, but I'm not sure where else to turn.
My HD2 worked terrifically with FroyoStone 3.2, Hastarin 7.6 up until last Wednesday (5 days) ago. Then I started to experience, and have not been able to fix, serious TS lag issues.
Symptoms: I hit the unlock button, swipe to unlock, and the touchscreen will be responsive if I KEEP using it...if I pause for up to 3 seconds, the screen is no longer responsive. I have to relock the phone, unlock, and then swipe again to get it to work.
The touchscreen works perfectly fine in Windows Mobile 6.5. (Energy 2361X)
Attempts to fix: I've formatted the SD Card inbetween trying all of the following items-
1) Switch to MDJ ROM with MDJ kernel
2) Switch to Bluetopia ROM (0.5, 0.6 & 0.6.1) with Hastarin 8.0 OR 8.1
3) Switch back to FroyoStone 3.2 with kernel that comes with it
4) Update Radio ROM
5) Update to new Energy WinMo ROM -- after running Task 29 first.
Today, I purchased a new SD Card, loaded it with a clean install of Android, still have issues.
Also tried:
1) Turning off all LED notifications
2) Disabling Auto brightness in WinMo and Android
3) Disabled Screen Auto-Rotate
Honestly, I'm all out of ideas, and I hope someone in the community has a way to help out. I find it so odd that the touchscreen works great right after a "wake-up" as long as I keep it constantly stimulated...then fails to respond if I let it sit for more than three seconds. Is this a polling issue?
All ideas are appreciated. Thank you
This probably belongs in the Q&A forum, not development.
Moved.
For future Googlers and the sort who are researching this issue, the thread has been placed here:

Thanks.
Hello, i have attempted using the search function of this forum to see if anybody else has the same problem that i am having, so forgive me if this has already been discussed. If it has, please point me in the direction to a thread. If it has not been discussed, then any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
My HD 2 is running the latest energy rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784&highlight=energy+rom) and the version of android i run is MooMoo's rom based of Froyostone 3.2. My radio is 2.07.50.27_2.
I have no complaints with this combination. There is no robot voice, picture messages come in clear, everything is great. The problem i have discovered however is that whenever i try and use Launcher Pro (also tried ADW launcher), i get the sleep of death. If i uninstall these launchers, the phone works great. No SOD's whatsoever. If i reinstall and use one of these launchers, then the sleeps occur again.
Does anybody know what the problem could be? I like the way LauncherPro looks, its smooth as silk and i prefer it over the Sense UI, and if it were at all possible, i would prefer to use that launcher. If not, no big deal, ill just use sense, but if anybody could shed some light i would be greatful.
I have Energy 3.14 based GTX 2.5 WinMo ROM and Radio 2.15.50.xx. Before that I had 2.08 radio version with stock tmobile and my battery life in android sucked; than I switched to known good 2.12.50 radio - which was not that good for me; anyhow, I finally got all updates in and now my hyperdroid is running s m o o t h like no android phone on the market. Constant 3-6mA in stand-by which if changes, I uninstall apps I just installed as I found that news readers and power settings widgets, etc eat battery alive ... also, I do NOT have SetCPU installed.
HyperDroid 1.7 version I have is using mychprima's kernel that's OCd and UVd and it works like a charm. Never experienced SOD with or without using G-Sensor (which was known issue for older kernels I guess).
LauncherPro - well I do not think is the main reason for your SODs. I suggest that you get Energy ROM, Radio 2.15, Clean Froyo (not sense build) like shubcraft, hyperdroid 1.7, etc - and test it out then. Before you do all this DO FORMAT the SD card ... than post results here.
PS no worries this should take you about 45 minutes to do all this - and you are all set. I have been on my Android for weeks now without single force close or reboot
I have little doubt that your radio is to blame. Up the radio, freezes be gone.

well im attempting to use the hyperdroid as per your suggestion and i like it alot, but i have a gripe with the screen resolution. everything is too tiny, i would prefer to have everything back to stock size. how can i go about changing the resolution? i cant find a solution
EDIT:
Okay i figured out a way to change the screen resolution. Ill try to use this android build and the radio you have recommended and let you know how things are working out for me. thanks a lot
well so far so good. I am using your combination of rom/radio/android build and i havent had a single SOD. Using launcher pro also and it works like a dream. Although occasionally the touch screen will lag...which is kind of annoying, but not annoying enough to fully break using it. Thanks for the help!
Here is my setup.
WM: stock hk rom 1.72.831.1
Radio: 2.08.50.05
Andriod: MDJ Froyo Sense Clean v2.4
Telstra HD2 T9193
Initial it seemed worked pretty well. I didn't reboot for > 11 days. However, as I used it more. I found more problems.
The touch screen sometimes wasn't able to come out of sleep after idling. I tried to press some button to bring up the screen, the buttons lighted up but the screen stayed blank. I think the backlight was on too.
I found that some people have the same problem just no explanation nor solution. Can anyone help me? I want to switch to android for good but this seems to come up randomly hindering the migration.
I am looking for a stable android build too. NAND, RAM, SDCard are fine with me. Any suggestion? Thanks!
Hy folks.
I got a small problem with modded rom and Screen Calibration. Please forgive me if there is already a thread about it....
The Roms i tested on my gt540:
Quarx Black
Vanilla Eclair
Greenex One
Rom alek1988r
Elegance Swift 4.5
Green Rom 2.0
Every Single of these Roms failed to calibrate the Screen Properly (always 5-7 mm dead on the roght side of the Phone)
The only rom with working Screen Calibraiton is the Softmod by mmxtreme, but it isnt available with my Language.
My Question is:
Is there anybody out there with the same problem?
Is there a fix?
Thanks in Advance
Same problem. But I've tried several other GT540 and it seems that all of them have the same problem. I think it's hardware based, and the touchscreen is just faulty. Other than that it's a great phone. Waaaay better than HTC Wildfire.
If it helps you i can asure you that it is not the Hardware. with the stock rom everything ist fine.
I also build a little "mod" for myself and the touchscreen works fine.......
There is a problem with most of the custom roms here (at least for me and you)
Whats your mod doing exactly?
My "mod" (i use the "" because its not really a mod) gives me the abilitiy to calibrate my touchscreen. I just fiddeling around to get what i want of my phone working (LG Homescreen, overclocking, thethering, quick gps fix, touchscreen calibration).
It was just very diapointing to see that most of the 2.1 mod-firmwares wont calibrate my touchscreen. So i will build my own
I have vast experience in calibrating different devices and gadgets.
So if someone can point me to a source code of CM7 2.3.3 Mu4ik, and place where the kernel processes X,Y touch events. I can build my own calibration application, and mechanism.
Any help will be appreciated.
Anyone can tell me which is the stock app for the screen calibration so we can pull it out of the stock rom?
