We all need a good locking app that don't interference with other system/background jobs.Using on /off button is very inconvenient so the phone should wake up with any key but of course it needs to be properly locked. The best way to do it to use standard WM locking tool. Here is an example: there is small .exe program(i have sth like that) that locks and turns off the phone you could map to any soft button and call for example: LOCK. So... You press LOCK button like in normal phone the phone locks and turns off and that's it but there is a big problem. Because of buttons are not locked you can by a mistake turn on the phone in your pocket. It will be turned on on the unlock screen for 40 sec- due to system settings i wanna keep. The IDEA is to do such a program that lockandOFF and when the phone is locked you can set backlight to only 5 sec (enough for unlocking, checking the time or when pressed by a mistake). I've HP IPAQ HX4700 and there backlight on unlockscreen is turned off after 5 sec but when not locked it stays on for 60 sec - due to system settings.
Hi, I have a problem with the lock screen. I am using the Drag and Drop method.
In normal use, I press the lock button to turn it off, pressing it again and the lock screen does not appear so I can use it for about 5/10 seconds an then the lock screen is appearing. Sometimes I can unlock it immediately but even sometimes the touch does not respond for about 3/5 seconds and I have to wait before unlock!
Someone knows how to solve? Thanks.
UP UP UP :crying:
Hi guys,
I've been experiencing a very annoying problem with my G2 recently. My screen freezes (every thing keep working) every time I lock it then unlock it quickly after (from 1 to 5 secondes). Oddly enough when I unlock the screen after it's been locked for more than 10 seconds everything 's fine. That' s very annoying when I'm making a call. As you know the screen locks itself when you bring your phone close to your ears so when I have to press a number or want to do something else while calling it's just impossible. Anyone has eencountered the same problem?
Thanks.
I've had this phone for two weeks, and so far I find that 100% of custom lockscreen replacements that I've tried have this problem, and I've tried about a dozen.
When I unlock the phone by pressing the power button or the home button, 10%-20% of the time the custom lock screen will display but the touch screen doesn't respond. What I mean by that is that nothing I do on the screen is registered as a touch; be it trying to unlock, click on a notification, or pull down the lockscreen. I then have to turn the screen off and then on again for the touch screen to work. Furthermore, if it's a lockscreen that can be bypassed with the home button, I can enter the home screen and STILL can't interact with anything on she screen until I turn the screen off and on again.
I have lock screen security disabled, so it's definitely not that. Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas on how to stop this behaviour?
About every 1 in 3 times I try to turn the phone on, the screen remains black, but I know it has "woken up", because it vibrates under my finger to indicate it has unlocked. Additionally, swiping around while the screen is black results in opening main screen apps. I have tried face unlock, fingerprint and voice unlock and these methods all have the same kind if success rate. I've found the only way of turning the screen on is, after unlocking it, is to hold the power button to bring up the force shutdown menu. This issue has gotten progressively worse over a number of weeks. I run an app launcher, may be contributing? The phone is about a year old. Help!
