Ok, i flashed a NAND rom. I customized my home screen using launcher pro, and GO launcher, and minimalistic. Now i only need to customize the lockscreen.
Now i know this must be floating around the forum somewhere or the other. I found a thread about the Hero but not about HD2. Either the search system at XDA sucks, or i don't know how to search.
Anywayz, I want to know how to customize the lockscreen completely to my choice, with my wallpaper, lock style and what not.
I am currentyl running Hyperdroid GBX v12.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm wondering the exact same thing myself mate.
Can no-one help?
Another here who misses the 'Quick Menu'.
There's a lot of talk on not being able to shut down programs that are loaded into memory without now having to launch the Task Manager first, but this was all part of the same HTC Task Manager.... you either closed it or brought it to the front.

several threads going on this. HTC task manager cab can be found in the threads "hints and tips". The cab has been provided by Dutty Throy. I have read that some users need to disable htc sence before installing.

Thanks for that, but that doesn't work for me. Strange, since other HD2 users are okay with that cab.

Yes, I'm well aware of those topics. I've contributed to some myself.
What I am saying though is although there is a lot of talk on this no one seems to mention the Quick Menu's acxess list.
Everone talks of being able to access the closed 'X'.

I agree. If the memory management is so super-duper that it can leave programs open and not have a detrimental effect then that doesn't help me switch between them on my MULTI-TASKING smart phone now does it!
I just want the quick menu back. I hate the idea of having to flash a ROM onto a phone that I've had for less than a day, just to get some of the functionality that I expected to be standard.
You can switch to running application by running it again.

I've been using a very similar OS for over a year now, and have always been able to just click the down arrow in the top right of my home screen for a list of running apps. This is what people are asking for, not work-rounds.
Besides, if the app in question is in a sub-menu of a sub-menu of the start menu, then it becomes a real pain to run it again. It's quicker to stick the task manager on your quick links on the home page and use that (despite the fact that that is ANOTHER app running, and we don't have access to exclusions any more either).

Yes but this is exactly why there is an issue in not having a 'Quick Menu'.
Running them again you have to open Start then find the program (of which if you have many, many programs/games can take quite a bit of effort).
Much simpler to just open the 'Quick Menu' and click on the already opened program.....
Edited:
johncmolyneux apologies, you answered the same question just as I was posting my reply.

Im trying to move\\change order/delete iconsin the start menu.. but all i get is "move to top" am i doing something wrong or do i need a speical program to make these seemingly simple changes?
TIA

I recommend using JWMD's Icon Changer, but many recommend Showaco's reSTART. The 'how to' instructions for each app can be found in that thread I just linked.
Hums.. None of those work like the custom rom i had on my fuze.. I was able to click and hold on an icon, and then it would 'glow' and i could move them around.. Im not sure what program, if any, was used for that either..

Drag and drop feature only works with WM 6.5.X versions. WM 6.5 doesn't support the drag and drop.
Oh wow.. thats... *looks at his phone* kinda lame... guess I'll have to mod it... are there any roms that are just like the "stock" but just upgraded to 6.5.x? I have a tilt 2

Thanks, eknutson.
Today I realized that the calendar tone in my Galaxy S was way too short and that it only played once. After looking through all the menus I had to ask my friend Google and I was chocked to find out that it's not possible to change the tone in Galaxy S.
Is this really true? And what's worse is that the function is available in vanilla Android. How can they remove something useful and dont replace it with something better, or at least ANYTHING?
I tried Calendar Snooze but it wasnt that good. All I want is to be able to change tone and also so it will keep playing until I do something.
if you use the forum search button you will find that it has been discussed and solved already. it should be in this forum or the vibrant forum

the only problem left to this mod is the youtube having no picture
I discovered this as well, and since I want to stick with the stock dialer because it runs fine I found another way. I'm just using the search button to search in my contact book, which is quite simple as well.

More details please. What's problem with touch responsivity? May be it is time to HR?
If you have installed the Touch Tools app I have mentioned to you before. Then just use itcto set your touch sesativity higher or lower, justcpokecaround some with the app you will see it is well worth installing. It gives you so much control over your HD2 using Windows Mobile.

Unless the app developer has add another feature or something seems I last used it. I only had to download and installcthe app. The part I am talking about is in the Touch Tools part of te app. I will be sighting this from memory here so it may not be 100% corect. Go to Start>TouchTools> Touch Tools>Menu>User interface I think. You should be able to find it then.

hi, t-mac. i went into the settings of touch tools 2.0. but i dont see any features that provide touch sensitivity. i did see, 'start menu icons per row', 'menu bar font size,' 'minimum tap time,' etc. but, i dont see any specific feature for touch screen.
also, i installed, 'co0kie's home tab' that installs 4 icon quick links instead of 3 in the home screen. i dont like it. i want the original 3 quick links back. but theres no way to get that back. the 'edit lock screen layout' feature is greyed out. i like the program's feature that lets you scroll across to give you more quick links, though. is there a way to keep this feature while getting the 3 quick links back? and how do i ungrey the 'edit lock screen layout' feature?
if you can help me with these 2 issues, i'd be indebted to you. thanks man.

Hey kinishkapd,
Here is a link to Touch Tools
Just a friendly suggestion, if you see app mentioned in a thread in the forums and you want to check it out. Do a search for it in "themes and apps forum for the device, and in the case of the HD2 the OS too lol. Also check okcthe link in my sig about getting more familiar with XDA
Enjoy Touch Tools it is a great app for the HD2 running Windows Mobile.
