Quick question. It says put the file/folder in the root of your SD Card, Boot into recovery, then flash the zip file, for example Gingerbread Keyboard, but every time you boot into recovery, it just brings up Windows Mobile, help?

There is no such thing as "Recovery" for us since we run off the SD card. You will have to use something like "Root Explorer" or something with root rights and copy and paste it to system>>app. Be sure to copy the lib that comes with the keyboard. That one will go into System>>lib. If you have any troubles you can PM me if you like.
P.S. Questions should go in the Q&A section, just a heads up man.
Forgot to mention. When I say copy and paste, I mean the actual app and lib that is inside the folder. You will have to unzip it first and you will see what I am talking about once you see it. One with say .apk at the end (which is the app) and one will have a .lib at the end which is the lib file.
I unzipped the file, I have a folder called "App", which as the .apk, and a folder called "Lib" which has the ".lib", so I want to copy and paste the .lib into system/lib, and the app in system/app, do I put both files on the root of my SD card first? and once I copy and past both into Root Explorer System/lib and System/app, what do I do next?

just reboot after that, infact just keep going on market and d/l a few things and it should update to the newer version itself, hope this helps.
just use titanium backup, I backed up the keyboard along with my apps so if I switched builds and it does't have the gingerbread keyboard, it will add it when do an app restore. One thing you have to manually select the keyboard from the app list, long press and backup.
just do an adb push it is the easiest way.
download the gingerbread keyboard (LatinIME.apk) and the lib file (libjni_latinime.so)
(assuming you have the sdk installed and you have usb debug turned on)
in command prompt, navigate to the folder that contain these two files.
then type: adb push Latinime.apk /system/app/ (press enter)
then type: adb push libjni_latinime.so /system/lib/ (press enter)
then you should have the new keyboard installed!
hi, does anyone know how to install dsp manager to hd2 android? people with native android phones install it via recovery mode, but I don't know how to do this with hd2. here's one thread about it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773449
thanks
You put the apk in the root/system/app folder and you put the libaudioflinger.so in the root/system/lib folder and full reboot android and it should work
*if non of the folders exist then create them and if libaudioflinger.so allready exists then overwrite it
I've tried replacing it.. but it does not allow me to replace the file
Use ES File Explorer to mount system data as writable. its free from the market.
open es file explorer, go to settings and pick root options.
I'm currently using ES file explorer.. but i cant check the Mount File System

Hey TheiPhoneKiller!
Where can I find these files? I´ve downloaded this zip file, but I can´t find a libaudioflinger.so in there...
here we go,ive uploaded it for you
thank you, man
Thanks... its working on normal builds, i think this doesn't work with ram edition builds.
ok, i finally tried installing this as instructed and after reboot the phone just stalls at htc logo. i rebooted once more and still the same. so i did a fresh install
edit: apparently my build (jdms) already has dsp manager built in.
hello friends
i make flash ES explore zip file bcz dzo not add any file manager
some of our friend find difficulty to download from market
Dzo update rom very frequently so it is very easy way to install you app in few second
you also add your important application
unzip the file go in /system/app copy your important Apps zip the folder again
Or you just use WINRAR open it system/app copy your important Apps and close it
CWM recovery 5.5.0.4
i just add some app
1. Es explore
2. Map
3. Mybackup pro
4. Root Explore
if you want to uninstall ur app then use root explore go to system/app find your app and delete it
Please hit thanks button
I've installed cm9 but it doesn't come with any file explorer.
I don't have any internet access on my phone right now so I can't download from market, but I have to restore the apps using titanium backup.
So I need a flashable zip with a file explorer that works on cm9 to install TitaniumB from my sdcard
you should have copied a file manager apk to the app folder in the rom archive before flashing :|
No need to flash, u can use adb shell to install the app.
adb install filemanager_name.apk
EDIT:
Success !
Thanks

The easy way is to put the apk file in the same folder with adb command
or indicate the path to this apk (e.g. adb install /documents/android_apps/filemanager.apk)
the best way is to go in browser and type file:///sdcard/file_managername.apk
to the app folder in the rom archive before
flashing :|
Okay so I just tried to install xposed on my Xperia Z and it was a success. All you need to do is be rooted. For that, go to this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/super-su-xperia-device-lollipop-easy-t3119006. The procedure mentioned here worked like a charm for me.
Once you are rooted, go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811. Download the .zip file and the .apk file. Install the .apk file like any other normal .apk file. Unzip the .zip file using any file explorer (I used root explorer). After you've unzipped the files, all you have to do is move and replace them in the system folders and assign correct permissions.
It's not working for me, the installer keeps saying Xposed isn't currently active
I got boot looped with this solution...bummer!

Would it be possible to explain the file copying process in more detail. My Xperia Z crashed whilst copying and overwriting the files into the LIB and now is in a boot loop. Copying the appropriate files to BIN and FRAMEWORK worked fine.

Done! Its working great! In order to work need to set the correct permissions in relevant files.

Did you copy the FRAMEWORK, BIN and LIB files over. My Xperia rebooted whilst copying the LIB files over and the went into bootloop.
Busy re-installing lollipop as we speak.
I have installed the files separately (one by one) in the relevant system's paths

I reinstalled the 5.0.2 firmware. Then did the KingRoot and replaced with SuperSU. The I tried to install Xposed followin the above steps and copied file by file like you did, and if I copy the 3rd file in LIB over, the phone reboots and goes into bootloop.

Same, although it rebooted just fine. I then copied the files again, no reboot but also no Xposed.

I'm in a bootloop again, so off to re-install lollipop...again. Becoming quite a pro at installing and rooting it now This time around, I had a clean install of 5.0.2 without any updates from Play Store. Also did a KingRoot and the replaced it with Super SU before trying to install Xposed. Not sure how @alexfra got it installed...lucky bum!
Okay do the following, copy the LIB files in the root of the system folder and assign the correct permissions. After you've done that, cut and paste the LIB files in to the LIB folder. That will work for sure. Check images for further assistance. Also check image of Gravity Box attached. Everything running great. Hope it works for you too.

Succeeded with my Xperia Z on official Lollipop ! Thanks !
To all who have troubles : take good care to the PERMISSIONS !!! If you don't change permissiosn IT WON'T WORK !
For LIB folder files use the method described before :
- extract to /system
- change permission to rw-r--r-- (or 0644 in octal)
- move files to /system/lib
For bin folder files permission are rwxr-xr-x (or 0755 in octal) and for framework folder it's rw-r--r-- (or 0644 in octal)
If you don't do EXACTLY this, Xposed won't work !

I did this on my third try over the weekend. Copied the LIB files into system, changed the permissions and the moved the files one by one. Reboot and bootloop occured when moving libart.so.
1) What file manager did you use? I used ES File in root explorer mode.
2) Did you move file by file, or move the files all at once or per folder?
3) Do you remember any specific order when moving the files? I just went alphabetically through the folders.
4) Must the .props file also be copied that is in the zip?
5) Did you do a clean install to Lollipop, or was it an upgrade from KK?
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for your help guys! I figured out what the problem was for me. There were some Xposed files in my lib folder already, I assume from my installation on KitKat (I did not do a clean upgrade). So I removed those, rebooted and presto! Good to have Xposed again

Do you know what the files were so I can check?
Should I not install the Xposed installer APK until I have copied the zipped files in?

Go to /system/lib and search for all the files that are also in the lib folder in the zip and remove them. I already had the Xposed installer installed when I did it, in fact I used it to reboot the system.
I have done,,thanks for guide sir,,

Can anybody comment on which file manager they used to do the copying and setting of permissions and successfully install Xposed? I see the OP used Root Explorer. I personally use ES File Explorer with root mode enabled, but I am thinking that maybe the issue I keep having when copying the files is due to ES File Explorer and maybe I should try Root Explorer.
