What will your next phone be?

Nexus prime?

Nokia mango phone
Iphone 5
Etc.
Just wanted to know what you guys plan on getting and your reasoning behind it.

I'd get the Galaxy2/hercules but I don't want it to be another throwaway by T-mobile >.>
Otherwise the HTC ruby and nexus prime look good!

Nexus from here on out for me. Hate how this phone is seemingly already dead when it's barely over a year old and can easily handle gingerbread and probably ice cream sandwich. Not gonna be screwed by carriers or manufacturers anymore.

Nexus Prime would be my first choice.
Second is Galaxy 2 Hercules
Third is HTC Ruby
No Nokia Mango
No iPhone 5

If the rumor is true about the HTC Ruby and Samsung Hercules getting a October 26 release date and the Samsung Nexus Prime coming out that same month, i'll definitely be getting the Nexus Prime. But the HTC Ruby does look nice, just love htc for good battery life and the notification light. Samsung on the other hand is better and everything else.

I am thinking of just keeping the vibrant for making calls and such and getting a 7" tablet.

I'll probably jump on the nexus, CM working with Sammy to make them more awesome that's going to be his baby its a no brainer!

Couldn't give me an Apple product... We'll you could, and I would just resell it and laugh to myself, watching people buy overpriced electronics.

Cool story bro.
I am telling myself to hold out for the Nexus. The Hercules is tempting, but it seems the Nexus gets so much more attention that you can do so much more with it. The biggest problem with my vibrant is my boredom with it.

Yep. I grabbed a Nexus S 4G for my girlfriend a few months back. Definitely grabbing the next Nexus - whoever makes it.

Xiaomi Phone??? Possibly just for the hell of it, but for an upgrade I'd go with the next Nexus for support.

I don't like branded phones

Is it weird?
I don't know why but I hate having a T-Mobile logo on the phone Casing and all the T-Mobile apps .
Recently I had the g2x and the HTC sensation and did not like them at all.

Totally with you OP, I hate the network branding, OEM logo is ok but on the back like the Nexus S.

Agree 100 %. That is one of the many things that makes the NS so sexy. No carrier logos. I even plastic dipped my battery cover to give it a rubberized feel and cover over the Google/Samsung logos as well. Looks awesome and super sleek.

I returned my SGSII and kept the NS (bought at the same time). There is nothing better than pure Google. I absolutely hated touchwizand found myself struggling to make it look like AOSP.
Even though the SGSII hardware was far superior, I went with the NS and love it.

I agree that is what makes the Nexus so sexy. With a black case on it looks stealth and mean. No cheesy logo on it.
I owned both the EVO 4G and 3D and they look tacky with the chrome bling circles around the bottom buttons and then the chrome HTC and Sprint logo it's just too much and kills the looks.
Here's hoping the Nexus-Three is black/stealth too.

I don't like how Samsung swaps the home and menu button location. It's little things like that that i like about HTC phones.

Majority of people don't have huge hands, Samsung moved it there because the third button is easiest to hit. On the evo the home is a slight stretch. IMO Sammy got it right.

Majority are righty. Either way home is in the middle two. Which makes it easier for lefties too.

I don't mind either layout.
But I am extremely annoyed that there is more than one layouts. Google should force the manufacturers to standardize it so its the same on all android devices. I switch between 3 android devices frequently and its annoying as hell.
One of my devices is a dell streak, which doesn't even use the right amount of buttons, the right icons, or the correct placement of any of the buttons. Going from a HTC phone to a Moto Phone to a Dell Steak makes me press the wrong buttons quite a bit.

I personally wouldn't like it if all the phones had the same layout, it gives each manufacturer their own. While I totally agree it would be annoying with three of the devices, I don't think majority of us have that issue persay.

The phone is too late. By October the Nexus Prime will be out.
By the way considering that VZW has no Nexus I wouldn't go as far andbsay it'll be exclusive to them.

Each carrier has had exclusive devices. Sprint didn't have one until Nexus S 4G. For some reason, I think they will.

with what power do you think google can possibly use to force HARDWARE manufacturers to change the layout of HARDWARE buttons????

That is a sweet looking phone. Let's hope it get's more Dev support than it's predecessor, because I know one thing; TouchWiz has to go, immediately.
Actually, it's pretty sad that the 1st Epic was such a let-down

I agree about the concern regarding the lack of developer support. We know the tremendous level of support the Evo 3d is receiving. Based on track record, the 3d will be running 25 different versions of custom Roms based off Ice Cream Sandwich before the Epic Touch gets it's first.

Anyways..the phone itself was very nice looking. I love the weight. This phone has some good weight to it because of the aluminum body. The camera was pretty damn amazing and the HTC Zoe feature was pretty cool.

I got to play with it today as well, the display is amazing! Don’t like that their isn’t a removable SD slot... You cant remove the ZOE, but you can change the home page.

It looks like a solid phone and definitely a better upgrade to the htc onex :good:

I got to play with it as well. This phone is pretty sick. The camera is pretty awesome. The zoe feature sold me. You can basically create a movie with it. Lol. The phone is smooth and very responsive. The blink feed is nice as well. The front facing camera is best I've ever seen. It has the capability to be used as a tv remote. The aluminum body felt great and not cheap in the hands. I have the note 2 and think I will buy this phone as well. The list of new features goes on and on. If they can get proper advertising, this phone will be a great success for htc.

First time I don't feel like getting a new phone...

I usually switch phones every 4 months but since I got my nexus 4 I do not feel like getting rid of the nexus 4. Anybody else feels the same out there?

I do too. Except for the limited battery capacity, the phone feels great. You get to do what you like with it, no oem restrictions and always the first to get software updates.

I too am that type of person but I'm really enjoying the nexus!

Anything special about it? I read it has many production flaws + software will be two versions behind within 2 months when klp comes out. Still great phone though!

The Nexus 4 is the perfect phone for me, no doubt about it.
However, being the tech geek that I am there is no doubt in my mind I will grab the Nexus 5 about 6 months after it's released (I don't want to deal with launch-day drama and hardware issues which always seem to plague the initial Nexus releases)
I can say, however, that I will only be buying Nexus phones from now on since they have finally stepped up to the plate with decent hardware and specs. The Gnex was a massive disappointment to me, I sold it within four months of owning it.

Same for me. I had the one x for the last year but it has started giving me trouble by not recognizing the Sim card was in the slot.
I was torn between the nexus 4. HTC one and the galaxy s4.
After much deliberation I went with the nexus 4 and I'm so glad I did.
I owned the nexus one before so I am already accustomed to the nexus experience.
I honestly didn't expect the 4 to be so much better than the one x. Snappier. Better gaming performance and longer battery life.
I'm so glad I switched

Good luck with HTC. I just sold my HTC OneX+ after 4 months only. Just can't stand anything except stock Android.

Same here, N4 is perfect for my needs.

I've upgraded from a BB Curve 3G, So as you could imaging this phone is one hell of a upgrade, So I won't be looking for a new phone anytime soon. Well happy with my Nexus 4
