RCMix and i00.
RCMix is the original (i00 is base on RCMix) and workes better foe me!!
but, both has a mic problem... it will wotk only on HTC programs.....

capy is working now on a port of sensation. it should be better...
There are several ROMs that use Sense 3.0 stuff.
Personally I wouldn't use ROMs like RC Kingdom 3D as it has things like the Sensation front facing camera button when that hardware isn't even on the DHD and also takes much larger photos, video and audio are rubbish on it and too many bugs.
The most stable ROM I have used is TB Fusion as its extremely close to perfection. Has all the Sense 3.0 components like Lock ring, weather etc but has stock DHD camera and runs extremely smooth.
Another good one is Honeysense which gives the Honey comb experience. They are my top two without question after trying most of the ROM's on here.

Now that we've got a working 5mp for Desire HD, how easy/possible would it be to get a Glacier Sense with working Cam? I love my some myTouch 4G ROM but no working camera = suck.
I tried plugging in all the HD camera fixes and it fixed my HD ROM just fine, but no can work on a Glacier Sense ROM

You might want to pm the dev that got the camera working for DHD and ask him if he'd be willing to port it to Glacier. I think he's still working on the DHD port to get the camcorder working at the moment.
I'd love to have the cam working on glacier as well. It is a really good build.
I like the build I mainly just want the my faves feature from it.

Being new to flash roms, I like tried this one, liked execpt that I get no display keyboard and need to use the hardware keyboard. Should this work on the G2?

Is this possible? I really like the sense camera for the edit effects. A good photo effect app would be just as appreciated
Edit: another problem I'm having with the CM7 camera is that the picture doesn't fill the screen like with sense

No. Every main Sense app is tied to framework blah blah blah, anyway HTC has it fixed so the apps depend on Sense as a whole...There's no picking this or that out, none of that, on touch wiz people have hacked the apps but that's different. Just use another camera app like fx, lg, etc...

Set the CM7 camera to 4MP wide if that's what you really want. All it's doing is slightly zooming in, so you're actually getting slightly worse picture quality.

I found that using Cyanogen Mod 7 + the high quality audio patch gave really good video results. If you don't like the standard camera app then I'd go for a Sense rom.
But if your going to be filming and taking pictures in low light then the camera on this phone will not cut it.

Tbh take your pick from anything not ICS, Virtuous's roms, Insert Coin's rom? Up to you really, aslong as they are gingerbread they shouldn't be slow.
I wonder y sense 2.1 camera is not as good as sense 3/3.5?

Drivers, I suppose, or the Camera app isn't optimized for it. That's just me guessing. I do agree though that the image quality from GB/2.1 Sense ROMs are much better compared to 3/3.5 or even ICS ROMs. I'd go for Virtuous Sense 2.0. Tried that back then. It wasn't perfect, but with a few tweaks here and there (Supercharger Script etc.) I got it running smooth and stable.

I briefly tried to replace my camera /system app a while back but never go it to work, then when I put the old camera app back in pressing the camera button to launch it wont work anymore. Eventually reinstalled the rom (cm7).

I wanted to see if I could get the ideal combination of Sense 2 and 3 by having Sense 3 apps but Sense 2.1 launcher, so I'm trying to get a lower auto brightness mod with Sense 3 lockscreen and weather, the Revolution HD theme, and possibly with a mod to disable scroll cache.
Does anyone know whether I should be using the classic or sense 3 version, and does anyone know where the sense 3 mods for ARHD 5.x.x are?

You'd be wrong, because I was definitely able to get GB 2.3.5 with Sense 2.1's launcher and the Sense 3 camera, keyboard, lockscreen, weather, and task manager. I have a feeling that with that combo and disabling Dalvik scroll cache would produce the smoothest Sense ROM for our phones.
If HTC released ICS for our phones with all the current Sense 3.6 features but with all 3D effects removed, I would definitely give that a shot too. Even though Sense 3 with ultra smooth rosie is fantastic, it still takes up too much RAM and there are still the 3D carousel effects.

It'd be nice to see HTC release pics with something like sense 3.6 (sense 4 would be amazing imo)
My GF's desire c (with a slower processor and tiny screen) gets ICS and sense 4 yet we don't?!

It's not really Sense 4, it's the 2D cut down version that resembles Sense 2.1 in function.
