I did the veryGreen install using the latest stable and the first time I had issues so I did a clean install today. I finally got a recovery menu but after I wiped davlik cache it booted into the regular NC OS while the memory card was still inserted. I shut it down and CM7 started up and after I moved the ring to unlock the device it rebooted back to NC OS once again. Shut it down again and CM7 loaded just fine. Anyone have any ideas on why it did this? Thanks.
Maybe somthing is on ur SD card and keeps reading off it

How did you actually "wiped davlik cache" when running CM7 off uSD?

I did a clean install so I formatted my uSD using one of the programs suggested here. I did my veryGreen install and everything seemed okay.
Reading around everyone keeps saying clear davlik cache if you are having force close problems. So I rebooted in Clockwork Recovery and I used the volume buttons to go to the option to clear davlik cache. On my prior install I couldn't even get the menu to come up.
I have been playing around more and as long as I shut the NC down it works fine. But if I try a reboot it boots up the NC side now.
what version of cm7 are you running? sounds to me that it might be buggy

Those steps are only applied when running CM7 on eMMC, not off the uSD.

Hello!
I have some problems rooting my nc with manualnooter 5.02.12. Before this I unrooted my device (by doing that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szlGSBtWbKY) and then updated to 1.4.1 (working fine). Then I copied the manualnotter-zip-file on my "8gb_clockwork-3.0.2.8.img"-sd-card and installed the zip-file.
But at next start, my nook gets stuck at the "read forever"-screen forever. I tried this three times, always with the same negative result.
What am I doing wrong?
it seems your new image that you were installing may have had an error. I would try to download a new image, possible from a different site. It sounds like after wiping the boot not much else was installed
try wipe all, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache, it's work for me
I had the same issue. I found that if I updated my sd card to CWM 3.2.0.1 and reloaded both the MN 5.02.12 and Dal's OC kernel zips I corrected the problem and didn't have to wipe or rebuild anything else.
edit the file in manualnooter-5.02.12.zip\tmp\scripts\uramdisk.sh
change the line below
mv /boot/uImage /boot/uImage.cwbak
to
#mv /boot/uImage /boot/uImage.cwbak
save and flash again,it work for me
sorry for my late feedback, had not much of time.
I will try your proposals later that day, thanks!
Ive been having the same problem as well. So I updated CWM , redownloaded mn, read some of the tips and finally got it working. I ended up having to wipe cache and i used the app2sd w/ the dalingrin kernel. Rebooted and then it was good. I assumed app2sd needs a sd card, but apps from the market saves to internal memory. I'm confused, but at least its working.

I fixed the script problem in the 5.02.19 release. You can flash one of the kernel images to fix the problem. I am sorry about the problem.
NEW KERNEL IS CHARGING. OS DOESN'T SHOW THE CHARGING ICON.
Make sure when you plug in to check the Settings -> Battery screen and see "Charging"

TROUBLESHOOTING FOR USB not being recognized in Windows 7 (while the Kindle is *NOT* plugged into computer):
- Open Device Manager
- Right-click your computer name and select "Show Hidden Devices"
- The top device group should be: Android device(or phone): under it "Android ADB Composite device"
- Right-click on that and select uninstall
- Now plug the Kindle back into the computer and let driver re-install
IF FOR SOME REASON WIFI DOESN'T WORK ON THE FIRST BOOTUP DO THE FOLLOWING:
Enter Terminal Emulator
Type: su
Type: fix-mac.sh
Exit Terminal Emulator
Reboot
THIS ROM SHOWS OFF HOW WELL ICS CAN RUN ON THE KINDLE FIRE.
** READY FOR DAILY USE **
If I had just installed this ROM and I wanted to see something that might not work in the stock-kernel based ICS ROM, then I'd try the following:
- Install "Chrome Beta" from the market and test it out.
- Audio is more stable.
- Launcher is smoother due to full PVR graphic support
- Try YouTube!
For user support, look to this thread! Please keep discussion here as to what works and what doesn't, etc.
Thanks so much for putting this out there!
I will definitely give it a go once my internet connection stops being so wonky.
Time to play, thanks Hashcode!

Amazing work Hashcode. Simply Amazing.
I cant wait till this kernel is stable.
once again, nice job, i really envy your tallent.
Oddly enough I get bootloops on this right AT the bootanimation. Was running CM9 earlier (which worked fine), but for some odd reason this rom always bootloops on a different part of the bootanimation.
Wiped every single option under CWM. Will probably try TWRP to see if it's any different. The only option I don't see under CWM is "/format boot" so I'm assuming that maybe there are some remnants that are keeping it from booting. I recall from the Nexus S forums that a proper wipe involves formatting system and boot.
I decided to give "fastboot erase boot" a try. I thought that this was going to just wipe out the boot partition. I was then going to flash the boot partition with your boot.img from your zip file, but somehow I still wasn't able to get back into the recovery after doing so. After flashing recovery again, it finally loaded back up. But, at that point I just flashed a nandroided boot.img just to be safe.
I'm not even sure if this line of thinking is correct though, haha. If it is I'll goof with it some more tomorrow.
Or would it be possible to include a line in your installation script to wipe boot as well?
I simply cannot seem to be able to get the screen working. The backlight does start, and sometimes I can see different colours in various lines of pixels, but no picture shows no matter how many times I try the power button. Very strange.
Thank you for outstanding job.
My kindle Fire recycled to boot loop during booting using this ROM. It recycled back to boot at CM animation where it remained for a few second at CM boot animation then boot to boot partition.

Anyone successfully flashed this using TWRP? Can't get it to boot...
Had absolutely no problems booting this on my KF. Works flawlessly so far.
Only thing was the CM9 boot animation was in portrait and cut off.
Oh, and I flashed using TWRP.
Oh, and guess what?! Google Chrome Beta now works!!!!
Some of my other findings...
The audio driver works very, very well! Amazon doesn't seem to have it implemented very well in their stock builds. Notably in apps like Audiotool Sketch which would crash on the first ICS builds because of the original driver and then Squids which soundtrack would simply stutter on both stock and CM9 and now plays beautifully on this kernel.
Sims FreePlay no longer throws the error and you can now download and play it. Looks great on the KF too!
I'm not having any booting issues, that's after now having rebooted twice. I'm having the screen not work when you turn it off and on, ut like you said, just pressing it multiple times fixes it.
Not having anymore issues with the reboot button after a few restarts...
Flash works beautifully.
If you have it plugged in, it'll keep the charge. I've been messing with it for a hour and it hasn't went down anyway.
Hmm, I don't even see a boot anim. This is after wiping everything possible using TWRP.
Strange, what ROM did you come from?

MoDaCo. Do a wipe of your caches.
I did, I wiped everything, including cache. Came from cm9 tho, maybe, as another user said, boot isn't wiped correctly.

Try factory restore then.
I did a factory reset and cleared both the cache and dalvik cache, prior to installing the FW. It just refuses to show a picture, and there is also no boot animation.
Once, though, I waited for it to boot and then I tapped around on the screen. Somehow I heard dial tones, and a distinct button press "click"
HI All,
i'm newbie on this site and I've run into a scenario that I am unsure of what to do now. I believe that I may have soft bricked my Acer Iconia A200. Here is what happened:
[*]- My tablet is US, 64gb and on ICS ROM
[*]- Tried One Click tools to root, unlock bootloader and install CWM (Successful)
[*]- I then ventured in installing a custom rom
[*]- I panicked when I did not do a NAND Backup/ Wipe before flashing and my tablet froze when installing the custom ROM
[*]- My tablet is now stuck on the ACER Screen
[*]- Tried superwipe- did not work stuck on /data
[*]- Tried flashing Stock ROM WW/PA, was able to go to ICONIA TAB Screen but stuck
[*]- Factory reset, thru tiny hole and the three button manipulation step did not work. error on erasing user data
[*]- Tried AROMA, Flashed Ultrabase and my tab now boots and was able to start!.............................. BUT
MY INTERNAL STORAGE IS ONLY 66MB and it's always full! Therefore I cant download/install anything. I can still browse via wifi so that's fine. Also rebooting the device acts as if it was always it's first run (asking for gmail account, setting up time and everything)
So, Here is what's working and my main issues:
- Recovery (Thor, TWRP, CWM) works
- Fastboot and ADB also works
- Can mount everything but /data. Working SD and USB (Flashdrive plugged in works)
- Internal Storage always full and only 66MB!
Here is what I've tried already:
- ADB, mke2fs (I read somewhere that if data cant be mounted/reset, we can do this) but it is stuck at 50-60/224 when writing inodes
- Hard Resets (via phone itself(since I got it running), via pin hole, via power + volume up + toggle lock) error on userdata
- Wipes on recovery mode (superwipe, format on thor, twrp and cwm does not work freezing on data or can't mount data at all)
- Fastboot erase (-w, userdata, data) did not work, invalid argument
I am really thinking the data partition (/dev/block/mmcblk0p8) needs to be fixed, it can't be mounted, but adb still sees it (i tried fdisk shows it 29 GB, /dev/block/mmcblk0 still shows 32GB. I just dont know how to use fdisk in ADB to partition or something)
Any thoughts guys? You help would be greatly appreciated!
Update
Still not working. AS a workaround I tried the swap internal memory to SD card hoping that it would work (completely ignore the corrupted? 32GB) but i cant install apps and still boots as if it was first boot. I can however, take pictures download stuff but not install it. So I reverted back.
BY the way, when connecting my Tab to PC, the internal memory's file system is Hiererchical, is that normal? Is there any way for me to repartition/reformat my internal storage?
Thanks

Hey man, I have the exact same problem did you make any move progress with your tablet??????????
Have you had any success at all? My Acer a200 has been bricked since the end of November, and I've been feverishly trying to find a solution (in my opinion, there should be a way to dual-boot to a real linux OS, but I can't even boot into android further than the "iconiatab" logo, so that's out of the question). I've looked at all the solutions concerning my softbricked a200, but nothing can really be applied if I can't get adb to work. Is there any help out there?

Mine became softbricked around the same time. I've been looking around for solutions since then, and nothing has come up. I really feel like taking the tab and have someone video me smashing it on the ground. I am so frustrated that i can't get this thing fixed.
my phone has been acting up recently and i cant get it to boot past the M logo. I can get into fastboot but it wont actually boot any of those options, it just says it is starting them but doesn't actually. I can however get into android recovery by turning on the phone and selecting android recovery, then plugging it into my motorola lapdock.
ANDROID RECOVERY is THE ONLY tool i can use. So i was hoping someone can direct me to a backup of one of their 2.3.6 roms (will that even work?)
i've wiped everything (bat stats, dalvik, chache, factory data restore, etc) and have tried installing a different rom (nottachtrix 1.4.1 to wet dream). RSD is unfortunately unavailible.
What ROM were you using before this happened?
Sent from that Atrix... Motorola, where's my ICS?!

started out with nottachtrix 1.4.1 and ran that for 2 months before this problem started occuring. then I tried reinstalling it (didn't help) so i tried installing the most recent version of Wet Dream (and that is what the phone is currently on).
Can I push the files via adb?
