Just got a new phone, worked fine, put in my sim and sd, all was working perfect, then I went to music selection and it saw my songs on my sd card, i started playing one, the phone froze and just played the last note like its stuck on it, all buttons would not work.
I took off the battery put it back on now when i power up it just sits on the white and purple screen that says " stick together" the tmoblie logo, and wont move from there.
Removed battery a few times same thing, pressed the little hard boot button same thing.
Any advice?

The "little button" is the same as pulling the battery.....a soft reset.
You should try a hard reset, and failing that a fresh flash.

Sounds like you're using stock. Stock never boded well with me either, so maybe you should try a custom rom. Search on the how to's, you'll learn something.

Been using the stock ROM on my old phone for a while never had any one of the many problems that ppl have listed on this forum, but I cracked the screen and got a new one, and just ran into that problem.
Took the battery off and let it sit for a few, put it back in and now it loads and works, just odd, how that happen, haven't put my card back in yet but well test again hopefully it wont do it again.

when i try flashing a rom from the bootloader (using RUU), it always gives me a image corrupted error message.
i also can't flash a new radio. error 00018003 occurs when trying to flash a new radio.
currently i have ENERGY rom loaded into it but won't start. stuck on the NRG loading screen

Have you had your HD2 flashed with HSPL?
K so its happening more and more now, some times it gets to the Launching HTC Sense part of the boot and then shuts off and tries to reboot.
Any one seen this before or know a fix?
Or just doomed?

the original HD2 came with defected sdcards so if your using the one it came with then that's why it might freeze...
custom roms are better at using the phones resources... just cuz the old one worked fine with stock doesn't mean this one would

No using a diff 16 gig sd card, and even when i take it out it still does it,
The problem with the custom roms, I dont like how most of them look and dont want to spend all the time installing diff ones to see if I like it or not, dont have the knowledge or the time for it.
I am fine with the standard HTC sense, just want to figure out why this one keeps crashing on load, what the conflict is.

maybe u can download the TMobile HD2 rom from their website. you need to put in your IMEI to download. after that, from what i did with my tmous before, was enter bootloader then run the utility and it should work perfectly.
if it still doesn't boot up then im suspecting a hardware issue?

U got a link to the rom? or were I can find it?
Also were is a good set of instructions on how to install roms.
the link is the tmobile website. just look for hd2. dont be lazy
for roms, it uses a utility. all u gotta do is press next.

Bricked is when you flash the wrong radio, like I did, and your power button will not work. Phone will not power up at all.

I think my 8125 is bricked. I've never had a problem flashing roms until yesterday I tried Farias Kitchen ROM. I flashing went through ok like normal, but when it restarted, it gets a little bit after the second splash screen. The green windows mobile with farias names at the bottom loads, then the topbar of windows mobile loads with the start button, but then nothing else.
I've tried reflashing it in forced bootload mode as well as doing a hard reset. no luck. The update utility keeps telling me that it is an invalid update tool, please get a newer update utility. I've tried taking the battery out for a while and from there doing forced bootloader. Still no luck
Any suggestions?

What are you trying to re-flash it with in the BL?
You should be able to flash the loverom without a problem.

Thanks, I'm gonna download it right now and try it. What is different about this ROM than any of the cooked roms I have already as well as and official one. All of them in past have worked for me without a problem until now.

Well, it sounds like it may have just been a bad casserole you cooked.
But, you could probably even re-flash using your carrier ROM. This one is just a fool-proof way to get you back on your feet. This ROM is just G3/G4 independent and doesn't include a radio, ipl/spl, or extrom.

Nope, just tried flashing that ROM mentioned above, and still the same answer. It keeps telling me that I need to get a new update utility. That is so weird because I never had that problem. I have already tried flashing the official as well with no luck.

I put the phone in bootload mode by pressing and holding the camera button, then resetting by pushing the reset hole which then loads it to a colorful screen which I assume is the bootloader screen. Then I just connect it and try to flash it using one of the ROMS i have. Thats how I did it the past couple of times.
What upgrade utility are you using? You might wanna try the one attached! It is the 'NO_ID' version and up to now it flashed everything! Simply extract the zip file to a folder on your desktop, then copy your nbf file in to it too and run the "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe"

My phone also appears to be bricked. It locked at 99%, and after trying the steps indicated in the core2.0 installer, it closed, and I'm having difficulty figuring out the next step. As is, I get ERROR [264] CONNECTION. Is there a way to get the phone functional enough to load an OS? I've been searching these forums for about 30 minutes and haven't found what I'm looking for. There should be a recovery wiki.

First thing you could try is to flash it with your shipped ROM again (the one you had on there originally). If that does not work you might want to search the forum for the LOVE ROM ??? I never tried that one but people say it should worke on any device (G3 /G4).

Every rom that i put in the phone is the same...always freeze on the splash screen...

A mda vario tmobile from germany...
I have my Leo for 1 month. I flashed it (HSPL), installed cooked ROM and everything was fine. Than few days ago I installed new version of ROM and then the problems started...after every soft reset, ROM "restarted" (every tweak or installed program disappeared nad the phone looks like after installing new ROM) and after few resets it is stucked on the first screen (with numbers of radio etc.) and wont move further.
Can anyone help?

I know it's a pain, but have you tried a hard reset since this started? If not, give that a go. If you're still having problems then I'd recommend not using the ROM that you currently have.

Yes, I did hard reset and it didnt help. Ofc I will use another ROM, but problem is that I cant do anything atm...the phone is simply stucked on the first screen and I cant even sync it to install another ROM :-/

Wish I could, but all I can see is only white logging screen...phone doesnt react at all.
You can flash from the memory card without the need to start the device up and connect to a PC. That's what he's suggesting. I don't know how to do this myself, having only done it via ActiveSync, so I can't tell you how to do it. I do know that you put a ROM image in the root of your storage card and reboot the device, but there's more to it than that. Have a look in the ROM forum for more advice (unless someone can help you here, of course).

you dont have to have a booted phone to flash roms over usb. Just boot to bootloader and wait for the 'serial' to change to 'usb' then run your flash.

So, i finally went and tried to get a 6.5.5 rom on my HD2 after reading everywhere that its alot better. Everything worked, the hardspl, the customruu installation..
then the phone booted, it showed the rom information (ROMeOS4 LEO Windows Mobile 6.5.5) and it said it was "customizing" dont know why really.. then it restarded, and now it wont get past the white HTC screen.. what do i do??

There would be a radio on your device from your original rom, it's probably just the wrong version. As stated, for that rom you require either the 2.07.50 or 2.08.50 radio. Follow the link in my signature and flash the radio exactly the same way as you flashed your rom.
OKay i got all that but i cant flash it because the phone is stuck at the white htc boot screen so the customRuu doesnt recognize it.
what do i do now? im stumped.. is there a manual hard reset key press or something?
EDIT: I figured out how to get into bootloader and im now putting the right radio on it, lets see if this works

Just pot your phone in bootloader mode by reseting while presing volume down button and after that flash the proper radio.

Putting the radio wich you suggested on it didnt work, it still hangs at the white htc screen... should i flash another rom? i really dont wanna kill my HD2 haha

I sugest you to flash back your original rom by sd card and restart the whole proces once again by flashing the radio first and after that the desired rom.
By flashing the original rom trought sd card metod you will have to reinstall HSPL.

a Rom Canot Work Without Radio Thats Why wont get thrue
try this and see....
try to hold both up/dowm volume keys and thn hold power button.
one message will appear tht,if u want to restore ur phone or not, press the upper volume button, ur phone will restore on its original settings.......try it out.....
mine got stuck on the white screen last week... i removed the SD card, restarted it again and then it worked...then i retried with the sd card and it was ok... don't know why

Posted in Q+A, but no luck so far. Rather desperate for help.
I was using my HD2 the other day for both Android and Windows mobile (Stock ROM). I had no problems with it at all, and at this particular time, had it on WM, but when I took it out of my pocket to use it I noticed there was nothing but a white screen. I tried restarting and I still get nothing but that same white screen.
I'm able to access the bootloader and it shows as having HSPL installed, though any attempt to install a ROM leaves it stalled at 0%. I can update the LEOimg.nbh through the storage card, but as soon as it's done and I restart, i'm right back at that white screen.
I feel like i've tried absolutely everything to attempt to fix this, and I wouldn't clog up the forum with another thread if I wasn't absolutely lost. If anybody could help me with this, I would hugely appreciate it as I can't be without a phone for too long, and being unable to remove HSPL means I can't take it back to the store.

you say flash via sd card seems to go further along? have you tried flashing a STOCK ROM via SD CARD?
the motivation is that flashing a stock rom via sd card is said to bring you back to stock state AND restores your hspl to a regular HTC spl.
To do that should I just take the RUUSigned file and renaming it to LEOimg, then placing it onto the memory card? I've just tried that from a stock ROM and it fails.

When I tried to update the Radio it would get to 4% then restart. However when it restarted after I tried again on your suggestion, it's booted into the Energy ROM I tried installing to it yesterday. I was able to boot into WM for about 4 minutes yesterday before it restarted and threw me back into the white screen. For now it seems to be working alright, despite probably restarting the thing a thousand times since last night.
Thanks for the help guys, can safely say i'm absolutely confused as to why it's only just decided to boot up.
And I knew it couldn't last. WM w/Energy kept crashing and refusing to reload. I've managed to put a stock ROM (1.66) on there, and have updated the Radio (2.07.50), as well as removed the HSPL in case it does have to get sent off. Now all the phone does is boot to a white screen again. Argh.
And now it's getting stranger. I tried loading a 1.48 stock ROM instead, and now it loads the HTC logo, and the red text in the bottom left, but for some reason grey rectangles keep appearing and moving up and down the screen. It's hard to explain, and it's never happened to me before.
Right. Managed to Task29 and install a fresh ROM and up to date Radio. Thought it was fixed, and was using Android with it for most of last night. Again took my phone out of my pocket to find nothing but a white screen. Stuck in the same place I was to begin with.
Im having the same problem hd2 was in my pocket took it out and had a white screen iv tried everything i can think of got it to work for a couple of hours but back to white screen again, can enter bootloader but cant get into magldr at all tried using toolkit but nothing working using hspl 2.08 magldr 1.13 running the sensation xe rom love the phone really want to get it working again. thanks in advance for help

I have exactly the same problem "White screen" after having installed all roms/radios and had the ph booting/working, it can't be used for any reasonable amount of time before reverting back to the "White screen". I've concluded that it isn’t a software issue and is most likely Hardware.
Now to find the faulty component. Ideas?

So ive been using darkstone froyostone v3, with no problems what so ever. I was on the 2.12.50 radio and i installed 2.14.50 then I installed hastarins v7 because i wanted to overclock my cpu and i saw that overall it was a newer kernel, i replace darkstone kernel with hastarins and have been running it for 2 days. But now today for some reason when my phone has a screen freeze, its stays frozen for a really really long time. So i do a soft reset and now im in WinMo and my screen is still frozen... I do a couple more soft resets pulling out the battery. And nothing is working. I do a task29, re install chuckydroid rom and re install my old 2.12.50 radio. And still THE SCREEN IS FROZEN....
If anyone has had this problem and figured out a way to fix this can you please help me.
try running hspl and put it back to stock 2.08.... then see if the freezes go away in winmo. it should since your phone is back in stock

I do a couple more soft resets pulling out the battery. And nothing is working. I do a task29, re install chuckydroid rom and re install my old 2.12.50 radio. And still THE SCREEN IS FROZEN....
If anyone has had this problem and figured out a way to fix this can you please help me.

Flashing Via MicroSD Card
NOTE (PLEASE READ): If you flash a Stock Rom via microSD Card then it will overwrite your HardSPL with a stock SPL included in the nbh file. If you flash a v2.01 or later Rom (with SPL2.*) you will NOT be able to reinstall HardSPL onto your device and could end up bricking it. This does not apply to custom roms as they do not include an SPL. BE CAREFUL!!
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

ok so i got it to connect. and i ran hspl and put it back to 2.08, but nothing is working. i cannot even touch the screen, all the buttons work, but the screen is completely frozen..

so ur back to the normal tmo original rom?
This happened to me last month i reverted back to stock rom and spl and called T-Mobile Customer Service they sent me a replacement with no questions asked. So just flash the stock rom and spl and inform tmobile your screen is not responding and they will send a replacement

no i dont know how to put it back to stock. i put it back to regular spl not hspl.. how where do i download the original rom at?
im also not trying to brick my phone, and i want to be able to re install hspl

u go to where the hd2 device is, then follow the instructions.. you should see where it says "download center" and a pop up comes up askin for you IMEI or if you search on the HTC HD2 tmobile thread you can also find it... heres the thread for it if tmobile website givin you a hard time...

yup! no problem.
your problem could be the same as mine.
I put on the new Hastarin R7.1, and the scrolling was atrocious and it really made the builds a lot worse than they probably were.
try changing back to the darkstone kernel, or a different one that has OC and UV etc, there's definitely a few out there, you just gotta search

yeah it was his kernel that ruined my phone, but, its far worse for me, as i cant even touch my screen in WinMo, ive done everything to reset the phone, and still no luck, my last hope is to install the stock rom, but i think its some kind of issue with the hardware now..

wat android rom were u usin? i been messin with all the new ones lately but end up goin back to hyperdroid1.6 cuz i dont get no freezes or SOD's on that one.. all the other ones i get MMS errors or no data... mayb it was cuz you changed your radio? i been on the stock radio and have had no issues like that..

I was using darkstone froyostone, i always change roms, try new radios, and try new kernels, i never had any issues reverting back to different roms, and NEVER had an issue that persisted in WinMo.
