I bought this phone today and the sprint Rep said it had Netflix. Is this true and does anyone have the APk or is this Guy a moron?

Go to the market and type in "netflix"
Yeah, I just did that but its telling me my device isn't supported. I just came from an evo shift, would that have anything to do with it?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
No,
Netflix is not available on Market for Nexus S because Google doesn't think that our device can stream it properly.
If you had a device that can do it, it would be available in the Market.
You can search for the apk on the site and try it out yourself.
I have not been able to stream myself.

I am just relaying what I read on another site.
AND I can vouch because I couldn't pick it up in the market with my phone.
Now, maybe because it is a Canadian phone, I don't know, but I can't find it on Market, nor, when I found the apk and installed it, I can't stream it, just like they said on that site I read.

If that's not the case then contact Netflix by clicking the "email developer" link in market.

This is a direct link to Netflix from the Market:

If you press 'INSTALL' button on the URL above on your computer, installation should automatically start on your Nexus S phone.
Works fine for me, can't say why some of you are having issues?

Netflix app is not available for use in Canada yet. Even if you get the .apk and sideload it, the app will only let you browse the content. Streaming Netflix in Canada is not permitted. Once again, we Canadians get the shaft.

You will find most any paid market app for free. Need I say any more
Edit: I by no means promote piracy. Usually what I will do is get on there, download an app, and try it out. If I like it, I will uninstall and buy from the market (i.e. I did this with Rom Manager, Root Explorer, etc.). If I don't like it, I will just uninstall and not use anymore. I also agree. It is out of developers hearts to offer free versions that have nearly all of the functionality of the full version and only ask for donations.
I paid for Rom Manager, because I thought his time and effort was well worth the $5 donation. Then you have some that would rather cut the developer out of the equation.

Just don't understand the logic I guess. Since you front the money for the app. You dont like it, you get your money back. Instead of supporting some clowns that have made them free for download. Lol
The market refund policy enables the same protection described.

The problem is when you have rooted device, ISIS won't work.
Get rooted or go home
I thought secure element had something more to do with the actual SIM/Battery (wherever the NFC was located). I know that unless the build.prop has it listed as one of the supported devices it wont work at all but I dont think rooting has a whole lot directly to do with it.

Tried it, still wondering whether I should keep it or not. Difficult to find your friends, BB being nearly dead (2.9% market share), whatsapp already 350 million users, still missing some settings, etc..
Can imagine though that for the die hard pingers it is a relief to see it back on other platforms.

Really?
This is what the hype was all about?
Now I see why BlackBerry artificially delayed release. It was intended to build up anticipation.
