[Q] Evo 2.3.4 Deck issues - EVO 4G General

I love the Rom, but there is only one major issue for me. My notification bar is completely missing. I cant live without it because I cant mount my SD card. It comes up before I do an advanced restore of my data, but once I reboot to get all my data back. I lose my notification bar. If anyone has any sort of fix, please post. I will love you forever. K thanks, by.

Try The App "Notification Restart"
That solved some notification bar issues for me. Also go into the cyanogen mod settings and disable the notification bar, reboot then enable again, if the first method does not solve the issue.

Notification Bar Sticks & Screen Time Out!!!

I have the newest cyanogenmod 4.2.5 but after a while of my phone being on i notice that i cant pull down my notification bar and even if i press menu from the home screen and press notification it wont come down. Also, i have noticed that my screen while time out and go black in the middle of me scrolling. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? Thanks
try to reflash
Thanks! but how exactly do i reflash? i just learned how to do all of this maybe 2 days ago so i'm still really new to everything.
Did you install any lock-screen apps? I noticed that when I installed those, sometimes my notification bar would get stuck.
On the other hand, you can reflash by reinstalling Cyanogens rom.

Phiremod 6.3 - Unhide status bar?

I've been enjoying Phiremod, but managed to hide the status bar in one app (iSilo) and can't bring it back with the chosen "unhide" button. It remains stubbornly missing.
Any ideas how to get it back?
The same happens with me with some apps.Though in other works, in some other doesnt.
Only way then is to reboot..

Bummer, it would be nice to see an option to restart it as I have FC issues with it periodically.
Thanks!
A reboot didn't do any good, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and that worked.
I won't hide the status bar again, though. *g*

[Q] Status Bar Force Close

Hi Guys,
I recently installed Pure messenger widget off the marketplace. It runs fine most of the time but sometimes when I click on one of the updates, it causes the status bar to force close.
Most of the time the status bar will restart itself but sometimes this does not occur. Is there a way to restart the status bar without having to reboot?

I see this sometimes (but not since I updated to N94). There's an app called "Notification Restart" which doesn't really work like you'd want it to, but it beats rebooting.
If it happens like I've seen it happen then its usually because I haven't rebooted in a couple days. So before I set it down for awhile ill just select reboot and walk away. Then when I come back its ready to go.
Has anyone found a fix for this? I get a Status Bar FC on startup, and it never fixes itself.
I am using the stock ADW launcher, but I have altered the screen density. Could that be it?
It doesn't look like they gonna fix it at all.
This is a very irritated.
Darn. I installed CM7.1 and it FC'd a few times... Then after I altered the density it has not made it past the FC at all in the last 10+ restarts. I might try to reflash CM7.1 just to make sure something didn't go wrong. What a pain.
Also, I tried the tricks that were mentioned about manually restarting the service, using the Notification Restart app, toggling the status bar hide/show option, nothing seems to bring it back up.

What worked for me was getting a pure Sandisk class 4 sd card. I had a class 4 by lexmark before, but would get random fc's on systemui which would make my bar go away.
Now I'm on a 16 gb Sandisk Class 4 and haven't had any fc's since.

Hey guys, I used to have the same issue (happened sometimes with some apps, and always after an LCD density change). What fixed it for me was running "Fix Permissions" in ROM Manager. Run it and restart, and hopefully it'll fix it (it did in my case).
Hope that helps.

[Q] C-ROM 4.4.4 lockscreen problem.

Hey everyone. I'm currently using the latest version of C-ROM. When my lock screen comes up the status bar or notification drawer is still showing and I am unable to get rid of it. The reason why I want to delete it is because if you click on a recent notification or hit settings it unlocks the phone without a passcode! Anyone else figure this out and have a resolution? Thanks!

Galaxy S8 Notifications not working on Oreo Update

I recently updated to Oreo on the Sprint network on my S8 and now all my badge icons have disappeared and I cannot get them to work. Regardless of the app or what settings I turn on the badges do not work. I'm also not getting any edge lighting notifications when the screen is turned off. I have tried hard reboots and still nothing. This is very disappointing as I was hoping the update was going to fix all these issues. Any suggestions to help fix these issues would be appreciated.
Do not complain if U didn't do a factory reset after update.
It's a must on samsung devices after a major update. Sadly.
I have managed to fix this somehow.
I was a trying a few things and have basically managed to wipe my home screens. So need to set up icons and widgets again. It's quite cathartic...
The upshot is that Badge icon notifications are working again.
I think deleting the cache and memory for the Samsung Home Experience and a restart fixed it
Good Luck

Not quite working as it was!
I now get the numbered badge icons which was not the case post upgrade.
However they disappear if and when the notifications are cleared. Very annoying!
I'm also having issues when the notifications.
If I clear the notification bar it clears the badges on the apps. Also if you enter an app that has a bafge, don't read the message the badge still disappears.
I'm fairly confident that wasn't the case before the update.
Edit: sorry, reply to a wrong post.
Factory reset, OR a new phone don't fix it. I've tried both, 4 trips to AT&T, 2 new S8 actives later... still an issue. Samsung tech support (4xs) says it's a software issue and won't be fixable. They tell me to "just wait for the update to fix it." Super annoying they can't get their $#!* together and fix it.
