I want to sell mine. - Eee Pad Transformer General

Works great no defects. It's lots of fun to use but I have found that it is not something I need to have. I have all the packaging etc. I can ship same day or next day latest by Fedex ground. I just want to get close to what I paid for it.

What did u pay...how much memory

Sorry. I forgot the important stuff. It's a 16gig and I paid a little over $400 with tax and shipping.

Is it sold ? If not I would take it, I'm tiered of waiting for my local store to get mine in.

Send me a PM and we'll work it out. I have not sold mine.

BTW, this is against forum rules, read the rules! Why don't you hit up Amazon or eBay!

Sorry. Since they are in short supply I was trying to give forum members a chance to buy mine without paying the fee charges of eBay that would need to be added to the price.
Anyway Sorry.

I'm kind of with you on this one.
I was excited for so long about getting this...fighting tooth and nail to find one...and now that I have it...
...I have no idea what to do with it.
If I'm taking notes on PDFs...I find it cumbersome and end up pulling out paper and pen.
If I am working with docs...I end up whipping out my laptop instead.
Streaming video is very choppy so it isn't pleasant either.
I can use Pandora with my phone.
In fact most things I can do with my phone....so I don't even bother to whip out the tab. If it is for something where I would need more than phone...I would just rather skip the tab and go to the laptop.

They're not in short supply anymore. Newegg and now TigerDirect have had consistent stock of them since last week. I think the shortage is somewhat over. You're not going to get anything more than what people would be willing to pay on those retailers. Unless, of course, the people purchasing from you are retarded.
If I were you, I'd return it to the place you got it from for a full refund (unless you are responsible for 15% restocking fee) or give eBay a try.

Rooted G1 for sale. 1 week old. Mint cond. $400

Well, as much as I love the handset itself I'm just not computer savvy enough to make Android do what I want it to. So I thought I'd offer it up here to try and save some money for listing fees before putting it on eBay. As of today I've had it for 1 week. Absolutely no scratches or damage and still has factory plastic cover on the screen. It's currently running modded RC30 v 1.31 with Carbon Glow theme. Comes with original box, instructions, 2 Gb micro SD card, and everything that came from the factory. My price is firm @ $400 USD SHIPPED. Will ship anywhere worldwide *except Africa*. I generally use USPS Priority Mail with insurance. I requested the SIM unlock code from T-Mo about 3 days ago so I expect that to show up any day now. Please reply via PM or email me at [email protected]. Thanks for looking.
*pics were taken several days ago prior to installing new theme*

You might want to lower your price. I bought one off CL almost new with a extra battery, case, box etc for $225. They seem to go for under $300 new.
I'm very well aware of what they're going for on craigslist. My ad is aimed more for those overseas that don't have such easy access to them.

you can get it from ebay, worldwide shipping for less...

Stop giving the guy hell on his price. Try to order an ADP1 and set the shipping to Germany and see what happens to the price - It goes over 750USD. Let the free market determine the price.

Considering that the OP has firmly set his price, aren't those two statements contradictory? (Note, I don't really mind OP's choice of pricing, just pointing out this funny logical flaw.)

I'm not trying to "cheat" anyone. There's nothing dishonest or misleading about my ad. I know for a fact that with my willingness to ship worldwide I will easily get my asking price if I choose to put it on ebay. I simply thought I'd offer it up here first. Clearly, that was a poor decision on my part.

Considering the tone of some replies..that's exactly what I was hoping for. I'll simply take this as a lesson learned about this community and take my business elsewhere. Then there will be no need for further editorialization about my character or intentions.
Thank you to those of you with cooler heads that chose not to be a **** about it.
Honestly I think the problem is that you are asking full market value for something that is opened and without warranty.
Think about it, why would you buy a stereo from some guy off the street even if he was a friend of a friend, if you could get it for the same price from the company which not only guarantee's it but offers 30 day return policy and a manufactures warranty?
Honestly I have no problem with you selling it here, it isn't against the rules. But I think asking 400 for the phone is steep especially considering this is the market where we know what it is worth and how to find them.
I don't see what I'm doing as being any different than what people are doing with the Iphone 3g. You can get a brand new one with contract for $200 from AT&T. But if you've ever tried to buy one outside of AT&T you'd see that no one's willing to let an immaculate one go for less than $400 or so generally. Add on an unlock and jailbreak and that can take it up much higher still. Is it "cheating" to want to capitalize on supply and demand circumstances? An item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If no one here thinks my phone is worth $400..that's fine with me. I know there are others that would gladly pay what I'm asking. Obviously, they just don't frequent this site.
I never said you were cheating I was explaining why I think they are pissed off.
Your iPhone vs G1 complaint is like Apples vs Oranges. They are in no way similar. The iPhone can not be bought unless it has a contract. Of course I would pay more for a non contracted phone, but the G1 is 400 with no contract. Wheter it is unlocked and jailbroken is irrelevant since the iPhone can't be software unlocked only jailbroken.
The only criticism I can give for me personally is that I thought you would have at least given xda members a discount. I mean what is 20-40 dollars gonna hurt?
I agree with you in that someone would pay 400 dollars... but I also believe that if you were really trying to help a developer get one you would be giving us a little discount from what you sell it on ebay. But that is just me.

Have to sell my evo =(

So ive fallen on some hard times, and im going to have to sell my evo to make rent next month. Its obviously used but in good condition otherwise. Included is all stock accessories, screen protectors (one applied), and the official leather hip case.
Ive listed the item on ebay and thought id give you xda'ers a heads up.
Item number: 120638581726
The money would sure help. Thanks for looking =)

Same here, but I don't think selling your phone would be a solution to a problem you are in. Good luck and hope it turns better for ya.
Hey man don't know all about your financial situation but keep your head up there's light at the end of the tunnel. When you get back in your feet you will a better than evo phone
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
O man Ebay? If someone wins your item the money is put on hold until they receive the phone or leave positive feedback (whatever comes first). The smarter thing was to place the phone on Craigslist. You also dodge the eBay seller fees.
Don't know when your rent is due but good luck.
Sent while sitting on the toilet.
Be prayerful and I hope it sells for more than enough
Unless you used your rent money to buy the phone in the first place, Im not sure if I could sacrifice my phone for rent, Id rather just pay it late.
damn, never used ebay before? that sort of makes it a bit sketchy... CL may've been a better idea, but it sucks dealing with people in person too.
I'd rather get evicted than give up my EVO.
I really hope it works out because if rent is due the 1st of the month you may be SOL. I believe that when eBay bought Paypal the payment hold policy changed.
If you charged for shipping that will have to come out of your pocket. I always recommend the craigslist route because it's more of a cash in hand route. If you sold the item today for example and shipped it the funds get released 24 hours after they leave feedback. You can go to PayPal's website and manually upload the tracking info and then call them to see if they can do a courtesy funds release for you but who knows what they'll say. By the way I hope you have a Paypal Mastercard Debit (it's free) because if not you have to wait a few more days to transfer the money into your bank account.
Just be careful next time and allocate $20-$40 bucks a paycheck into a separate account for the just in case situations. If you are really in a bad situation and have a 401k you may be able to withdraw some money but you will get taxed heavily. I personally would never do it but if you really need the money it could be an option.
I'll buy it
Let me get some pics though
Man... i didnt realize it took so long to actually get paid. This sucks. And yeah ive never used ebay. Never had a reason to. Not sure what i should do =\

Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Paypal is instant unless the person is paying with a credit card but if the person buying it has paypal it is instant payment.
I was just reading the finer details about it and it does say that they may hold the payment until positive feedback is issued from the buyer. It said they like to do that for new accounts, which i am =\

eBay has some drawbacks, but you may get more for the phone.
With CL, you have to name the price you want, then hope somebody wants it for that price. Plus there's the "flake" factor. Waiting for them to come and they never do, etc.
I had a several year old HP wireless printer that I was un-able to GIVE away on CL earlier this year. Your EVO will definitely be more in demand however.
eBay is more of a, I don't need the money tomorrow kind of thing. However, you can go to their help section and read "Canceling an auction".

I've had Paypal for about 5 years and the rules still apply. It's only instant if I were to send you $50 today because it doesn't involve a middle man such as eBay. I would just sell it on Craigslist and take the hit on negative feedback. It will mess up your feedback rating but you'll have the money faster.
If someone on XDA buys it and sends payment then it's instant but you still have to wait to take the money and transfer to your bank account.
I have a Paypal mastercard debit (free) so that if I get payment I withdraw with the debit card and deposit at a chase atm.

As an ebay user for years, I can testify to the Paypal BS. I am a trusted user etc...all that good stuff. When I sell anything I still have to wait for positive feedback etc. It can get REALLY annoying. So basically I have to wait for the other party to leave feedback, even though I am trusted/100%/paypal power user/confirmed etc. It gets annoying when you just want to transfer ur money.
That being said, there is only 1 way to get your ebay reputation up....and that is to sell... I think I am still bounded by the delayed payment because I only sell things randomly...I am not a store
That's odd, when ever I sell I never have to wait for Payment. The funds are never held for me.

It is probably because I only sell things like 3 times a year max. When I asked them about it, it was more of a hassle than to find out why. Everything was eventually released etc, but still annoying to wait.

Verizon Really Likes My $$$

So i finally went about returning my Xoom today at my local Verizon store where i purchased it. It was an interesting experience because low and behold. Verizon wasnt very anxious to give me back my money. I first had to wait in line for 30 mins just to speak to a CSR. Then when i finally got to the front of the line and requested to return my Xoom
excuse #1 " I dont think i have enough money in my register to refund your money at this time"
my response: "why cant you just get the money from someone elses register, are you saying that unless this money comes specifically from your register theres no other source of money in the whole store to fulfill my refund?
her answer "Yes" "but if i liked i could take my Xoom back and come back at a later time when they had more money".
Then i notified her that i payed part cash/part credit and asked if she had enough money to fullfuill the cash portion and the rest on my card. simple enough. She suddenly became baffled and required managers assistance.
Then they asked if i had a verizon wireless account and they could credit my account to the tune of $573(my refund amount) essentially getting their xoom back and keeping my money at the same time. um THANKS BUT NO THANKS.
So finally they were able to scrounge up some cash and process my original request to refund my cash payment and put the rest back on my card.
The part i dont understand is that the girl who was helping me by the end of this was giving me major attitude and begrudginly gave me back my money like she took it out of her own purse. I even said thanks and have a nice day and she totally ignored me.
All in all no love lost i took my refund and went and put it towards the purchase of a brand new LED tv for my bedroom.
Lol get more money I guess is the solution

This just in: every carrier ever in the history of the world doesn't wanna give you a refund.
Cool thread. Is this news? lol.
Thats odd because I did the old 30 day no questions asked on the droid 2 and they had no problem and anytime I want to return something they are always hopping to it at my store. I guess it might be a different setting, its a smaller town and I am always in there buying stuff, so maybe they know I will be back and just something else and get my money then. I was considering returning my xoom but just the trouble of returning it is too much for me. The longer I keep it the more I like it. I am just so used to the 10in screen, just looking forward to some cool roms for it and I will be fine with it. It was a little early as nothing in android was ready for the 3.0 + tegra 2 combination, but as devs make apps for it and 3.0 matures under googles hand it will become a strong platform (my opinion).

Yes there was a restocking Fee. Its $70 for tablets. So my purchase price(subsidised) was close to $650. BTW in case noone was aware apparently the ETF for the xoom isnt the same as with Smartphones. On my reciept it stated that the ETF was only $175 not the $350 they usually charge. you know, if anybody wanted to save 200 bucks and definitely intended to keep their Tab for a while.

It is outrageous. Especially because if you look on ebay, they sell extensively there. They also are always the ones charging the greatest prices or highest minimums on ebay.
They're like GameStop for phones. They might as well be called PhoneStop.
Just playing Devil's Advocate here a bit as I do agree, $59 is outrageously low *BUT* when my contract came up with AT&T a few months back, I bought a white iPhone 4 32gb to sell on Ebay and had to relist 3 TIMES before I got a successful bid. One of which I actually sent the device out, Paypal revoked payment and I had to get UPS to intercept the phone that was already 'out for delivery'.. by the time it was all said and done, I sold the phone for $250 over what I payed for it, but after the 1st shipping fiasco, getting eaten alive by Ebay's fees, and just the general pain in the ass, I made like $50.. I will never use Ebay again. So, long story short, if I wanted an easy, painless transaction I just might take that $59 and be done with it.. but i would never sell my N1 anway

Ebay is great for buyers but if your not moving bulk it kinda sucks to sell there I typically will overcharge on shipping so that I dont lose much and shouldnt I be paid to drive this thing to the UPS store anywhos

Do not buy from simplyelectronics.net!!!!!

Wow...stay away from this company as far as possible. Trying to deal with them has been harder than performing brain surgery in the dark with one hand tied behind my back.
Ordered a white Note on January 25th. They needed extra identity verification (aka the documents they need to defraud me a month from now). I order from B&H all the time with orders exceeding $2,000 without having to verify my identity.
Fine, I played their game, January 28th rolls around and it can't ship till next week because they are backed up. I tell them forget it, to cancel it, and I will get it from someone else who can do business professionally.
Between January 28-30. I have FOUR comfirmation email cancelling my order from TWO diff reps and from the [email protected] email. Now today, February 3, I receive an email that my order has shipped and here is your tracking number...
Scammers folks. Terrible customer service. Been sitting on the phone for ONE HOUR trying to talk to someone live....no one will pick up. No one is returning my emails. I just filed for fraud on my credit card, I will refuse the package when it arrives, telling you guys here, and also prepping my attorney for anything.
SimplyElectronics.net is not professional, not prompt, sketchy, involved in fraud throughout Europe, and by far the worst company I've ever dealt with.
Wow - sounds absolutely awful...
Sorry to hear about your miserable experience, but thanks for the heads up.
Almost ordered a Galaxy Tab from there at Christmas, but found out about Note and bought it from Finland. After hearing this i am glad i didn't choose to buy the Tab there.
why do you people send your money to shady non trustworthy companies. Just to save a couple dollars.

They are based in Hong Kong, look at their address on the terms and conditions tab on their website.
I made the mistake of ordering from them before and looked into the company. They were taking ages to dispatch so I asked for a cancellation. They agreed to the cancellation but after about two weeks of not receiving my money back on to my card, I sent a chaser email which they responded to and I managed to obtain my refund after another few days.
Their website is very deceptive because when you go to it, everything is in UK currency, and even their phone number is a UK one.
Any warranty claims seem to go to a UK mail forwarding address who then probably ship it back to Hong Kong.
Definitely stay away from this company.

I'll pay another $20 to $30 extra for a little peace of mind, but $100 is kinda steep (IMHO).
--For the record, I bought my Note from a Top-Rated seller on eBay for $629. Transaction was excellent, and so is the phone.
I ordered from simply electronics and had no issues, and that was in the run up to christmas, took exactly a week to arrive. I think there were excellent, always replied to my emails and was miles cheaper than anywhere else. I think you just need patience when ordering from a company based in Hong Kong. I'm used to it get a lot of stuff off ebay from Hong Kong, and a lot of it takes about a month to arrive. Which I'm told is because they have very strict outgoing customs over there.
