Hi i have a MyTouch 4G rooted with Virtuous Fusion ROM. Everything was working until when I tried to install Miui Music Player on it. I did adb push but after doing it when i unplugged the phone from my computer several Force Close came up then i rebooted my phone then the MYTOUCH Tmobile logo start up screen came then the HTC logo came then my phone will shut down. I tried to start my phone again the same thing happen. I did Hboot and tried recovery from there but it didnt work. I tried Factory Reset but it failed. I go to clockwork recovery mode if i do backup and restore or factory reset nothing happens. Does it mean my phone is gone? Is there anything i can do to fix it? Please anybody help

noob help!
so i was just charging my phone. then all of a sudden my phone froze.
restarted it, then its just stuck at the htc logo. then the jetplane sound from the at&t intro.
tried doing a hard reset or entering recovery but after it reboots, still gets stuck at the htc logo.
(MORE INFO: im not sure if my phone is still rooted because i restored it my at&ts factory rom, cant change settings for usb debugging coz i ant get inside my phone,i still have my nandroid backups in my memory card from before)
is there anyway i could fix this? thanks in advance.
Try booting into recovery and deleting cache, reboot. If it still gets stuck, then try again, this time deleting user settings. If all else fails, restore your nandroid backup or restore the factory rom. If the problem is the rom, try flashing the RUU.
phone gets stuck at the htc screen when i choose recovery mode. also when i clear data.
tried re-flashing the phone with the stock rom from htc's website. it says its successful but still.. stuck at the htc startup screen.
if u flashed the factory rom back on it, then clockwork is gone is probably gone now. It most definitely is not rooted anymore either. Have you tried to reroot the phone?

That was an un-wise decision to put the stock rom back on. Like stated above. Try a Re-Root. Then flash a CUSTOM ROM to your phone. If this doesn't work. Sounds like you are S.O.L.
Hi
I own a HTC magic from rogers. Im on android 2.1 and 32a motherboard. I tried to root my phone today by using super one click, and it said it was successful. So then i tried to install a rom using Rom manager from the market. I made a custom recovery then tried to install a cyanogen mod 6.1 EB1. It told me to restart my phone so i did. Now my phone just show the rogers screen and restarts. I have tried to hold the power button with the back/home/volume button to no avail. Is my phone bricked?
Thanks for your time

Pull the battery, put the battery back in, and hold (home+power) until you get into the recovery or the phone starts bootlooping again and let me know what happens.

Ive tried what you said, it keeps on bootlooping, do you have any other suggestions?

Did you leave the battery out for a few seconds. Does it go right back into the bootloop or does it start to boot normally and then starts the loop? Did you try doing the same thing holding back and power?

yea, ive tried all the possible of holding buttons (home, back, volume down) and pressing power and none of them have any effect. The phone keeps boot looping. Basically what happens is then i press power, it shows the rogers logo for about 10 seconds, then turns off, then turns back on and shows the rogers logo again. This cycle keeps going on and on. Do you have any more suggestions
Thanks
This has happend to many people trying to use the rom-manager. It's mainly because RM is more for the 32B devices.
But you can still save the phone... just keep pushing the back button and keep restarting..'
I know someone who did for an hour, but he managed to get into fastboot :0)
Hey thanks for the advice
When you mean press back and restarting, do you mean constantly press back while the phone is in bootloop, or take out the battery and put it back in and press back
patel,
i have had the same problem as you. forget rom-manager with phone =\
Google "htc magic keeps restarting" should find info on how to get it into fastboot - i think.
I fixed my problem by downloading the 1.5 sense update from htc's website.
Plug my constantly rebooting phone to my computer and run the RUU update.
Then the phone should automatically grab 2.1 ota - i did this back in december.
So it fixed this problem and i never dared to try and put a custom rom on this phone again.
good luck.
What is the RUU update youare speaking of is it the regular download from HTC?
hi, i currently have an HTC hero cmda with the cyanogen mod 7 ROM on it, and i want to get my phone back to factory settings with the regular software on it. ive tried the unlockr unrooting and i cannot get my phone to connect to HTC sync, and ive tried restoring to my last backup, but that wont work. i need to figure out how to get my phone back to factory settings. any help will be greatly appreciated
if htc sync isnt working the drivers didnt install u need to reinstall the adb drivers then download the last ruu from sprint run it and you will be back to stock.
Try to flash it with flashtool

No need to even hook up to computer with this zip file.
Just read it carefully. I've used it multiple times without fail.

To verify ur S-on or S-off go to hboot, which u can do from either from powered off: hold down the lower volume button and power together until it turns on
From Powered on: hold down power button and select reboot then bootloader.
Good luck

Hi all,
I have a stock mytouch 4g and yesterday it froze during an update. After rebooting it a few times to no avail, I did a factory reset and still got nothing, it just kept getting stuck on the beginning image.
I factory reset it without the SD card, and it booted (showed me the introductory video) but then as it was asking me to set-up my e-mail accnt it froze again, and that was pretty much it. I reset it every which way after that and got nothing but it getting stuck on the first image.
I also can't go into recovery mode, nor fastboot. On recovery mode, it shows me the alert red triangle sign with an exclamation point.
Please help?? (I refuse to believe my phone crapped out bc of an update! =[ )
Thank you kindly,
Nasja
You need to find the stock rom and place it on the root of your SD card and then boot into hboot and it should ask you if u want to install update then just wait for it to install and your phone should work fine again

You'll probably need one of these. I'm guessing a gingerbread version.

PC not seeing the phone
Hey, thanks much for the reply, but I plugged my phone to my PC, but it doesn't see it (or read it rather, it pops up as removable disk but if I click it, it tells me I have to insert a disk ).

I had the same type of thing happen to a phone I'm looking at for a friend.
He lent it to me because it wouldn't boot past the mytouch logo. It would boot into boot loader, but wouldn't allow us to select wipe data / factory reset. I tried to apply the update through the Bootloader like preciously mentioned, but it kept hanging and wouldn't load after 10 minutes or more.
I've noticed it's extremely delayed when it even runs the scan in Bootloader for new recovery and other updates. It probably takes about 45 seconds to do the scan.
Anybody have an idea what's causing this? I read in another thread that it may have been caused due to the phone overheating.

I have an LG G2 here that my friend managed to get stuck in a boot loop. I have tried installing a fresh ROM & once i hit restart the phone boots then shows LG logo and next thing you know I'm back in TWRP. I have tried putting the phone into download mode with no results also it just simply opens back up TWRP :/
If anyone can help me out with this i look forward to hearing from you, as of right now I'm completely stumped & she is without a phone!

Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
I was able to get back Download Mode & Install a Custom ROM. Now I've run into a new problem. She now has a half working rom... No Data (APN's wont save), Computer doesn't recognize internal sd size so no transfers can be done unless using adb to push. Lastly i tried going back to stock by installing the kdz but for some reason the program wont start the process it starts installing divers then nothing after that it doesnt startan install
Anyone have any ideas?
