You will need to edit the right .png in framework-res.apk
You will need root, decompiling and compiling apk, and pushing to system/framework.
I don't know how much you know about it.
If rooted and using cm7 just get a new theme.

If you have the official 2.2.1, all this stops here because you can't root... Sorry
axactly so I have no way to change the color?
No, that requires a deodexed ROM. The best you can do is install a Custom Launcher and use its themes, but, that will not change the colour of the status bar.

Upload is done. I just need to create an add-on fix for the bugs I found overnight.

This uses stock white background.
As to flashing it over a different ROM. I don't know. It could make the phone unusable so LollyROM is recommended.

how do I go about customising this theme on the Rom i'm using?
If the ROM is FRF91 base then you could just flash the two zips, but some apps may still be green. To use on a different base you would have to edit every and each apk. The quickest method is using XnView and converting RGB to GBR.
wallpaper please.

Thank you!
but I have one bug with checkbuttons (see screenshot)
I am aware of this bug but I will not be fixing it since it's a small bug and I would rather keep the checkboxes blue.
Do u know a root or not root app that does the negative of what u see on the screen?
Don't know about inverting colours but I know you can change them.
If your using cyanogenmod or something based on it try render effects in cmsettings.
Otherwise try this.

Step 1. Cut a hole in the box
Step 2.
wait... thats for something else.
You need to root the device, and then need to find someone that has ported the framerwork for Gingerbread over to an HDPI device.
Then you will either flash a zip with recovery, or you will adb push the new framework.
There are a few variants out there at the moment for MDPI devices.
Nexus S i9020T, Brainmaster's MIUI final base Gingerbread. Followed the steps to hide the carrier name at the top left.
Here's what I can see now.

Come on man. A house???!? That IS strange. The "hack" is supposed to let you display whatever text you want on the upper left, and it works perfectly, but if you want to display no text and you leave a blank space, a HOUSE appears. Baha.
Strange thing. Never seen that before!

Actually if you're on brainmaster MIUI there should be no need to "hack" it. His MIUI usually comes with MIUI Settings app and you can use that to customize the carrier name or hide it completely.
My guess is it's the "carrier logo" image that comes with the theme.

well you need to modify the status bar appearance. if you are familiar with that, you may follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422116
else you may also request your rom creator to do it for you. this is a bug
Can I know which Rom do you use?
Generally in the system settings there must be some kind of UI tweak, try enabling the clock visibility from there.
If it still wont work then it must be a bug.
