Hello,
We are the developers for a new home replacement called myHome.
We are now allowing external themes to be allowed on our home. But we need a theme template!
What are we looking for. A theme template were when it is downloaded there is an app in the app drawer. When the app opens, the user clicks on "Apply". This will set the theme so the user does not have to navigate the menus of all of the launchers.
We are looking for someone to accomplish this. If successful, they will be rewarded.(Pay, Recognition to all themes for myHome, Ect...)
SERIOUS DEVELOPERS ONLY*
Sincerely,
IntelSoftApps

As you know that when you install certain third-party apps like Market or Superuser, the shortcut is not added to the KF stock launcher. Does anyone know how to manually create shortcuts for apps? I know other launcher will show them but I want to keep the default launcher for now.
on the market there is a app called "any cut" - you can make shortcuts to everything
For the market in particular there is a MarketOpener.apk file that'll add a shortcut for you. You'll find it with a quick search, I don't have a link handy. If you're looking for more than that though, no idea.
Hi all,
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime and have set my Nexus 7 up so I have just one home screen with a custom wallpaper, and invisible shortcuts made using Desktop Visualizer.
I think it looks great, but I don't like the small folder that pops up, and would prefer a shortcut to a folder in the App Drawer. But I can't for the life of me work out how to do this! Surely this is possible!?
I tried installing Solid Explorer, having read on another thread that that app can do the trick, but I can't find the correct directory to create the shortcut to.
Hope someone out there can help, and hope I've explained myself properly!
Cheers!

Hello, this is my first post on xda so please bear with me.
To the point, I want to develop an app that will be a library for icons (Icon Set) that can be used for already installed apps on the device.
Basically, a copy of an app like Min - Icon Set on Play Store but with my own set of new icons (of course):
I have already got the icons ready, but i'm not sure how to begin coding for this type of app. I've only created basic apps before. These are some of the questions which will help me out:
1. How do I declare in my Manifest that this app is an icon set?
2. What activities/classes will I need?
Thank you
Hi there,
does anybody know if it is possible to set a shortcut for a website on the EPD screen?
There is a widget where i can select apps from a list.
But i just want to set a shortcut for a website like Dropbox or Newspapers so that i can select it directly on the EPD.
thx
The answer isn't straightforward, essentially what you're looking for is a pointer to website, but in the apps drawer so you can pick it up from the EPD's app launcher menu. Android doesn't do that natively, and a typical shortcut application would only allow shortcut on home screen.
A rather intriguing method would be to create shortcuts with Tasker and then install them as app. Definitely worth a shot. Someone might have a better answer though.
It is not that easy as i thought.
There is an App called Yotabelt, which should allow this, but no chance. It does not open anything.
So, i guess, i'll have to find a way to get a shortcut into the apps list.
