i just got an email from AH Subsidy Unlock. and its for my streak smile.gif
heres the story. one call to AT&T. explained my situation. no questioned asked. At&t rep took my info (imei, contact, etc) right away to open a request. thats it. less than 2 weeks later, TODAY i got my UNLOCK CODE. woohooooo! and just in time, im going to the philippines tomorrow. i will try the unlock later though cause i dont have an other carrier sim card. will execute later when i go cali and visit my girl (shes t-mobile). will try to make video if im not lazy later. hehe smile.gif soooo happy.
heres the content of email i received:

HTC Cingular
1. Insert non-at&t SIM card into device
2. Power on the device
- Wait a few moments to allow device to fully power up
- Device will indicate "Network Locked", do you want to enter a Network unlock Code?
3. Select "Enter Code" option
4. Enter unlock Code
5. Select "OK"
-Device should now be unlocked
Note: To verify the IMEI, dial *#06# on device’s keypad, 15 digit # IMEI will display on the screen. If this sequen biggrin.gif ce does not work, pull the back/battery off the phone and the IMEI will be listed on the back of the phone.
cool beans, just as i stated in another post, call them, be nice, request to open a case and should receive it in your email.
I haven't called in for mine yet cuz i've been really busy with school and work also don't plan to be heading abroad soon, atleast not in the next 2 months.
What was your "situation?"

Having faxed (seriously, can they not embrace the 21st century and switch to email?) all the relevant info I got an email this morning ... DENIED
Supposedly I have to wait 90 days from the device activation to get a code. So the fact that I've been an AT&T customer for years has no relevance here.
Not happy. Now I've got to see if I can get a Rebel Sim II shipped to me before I leave on Sunday.
I told the lady I spoke to on the phone that I am a flight attendant (true). And that she can verify this from my account (I have airline discount). and I told her I even have that world thing plan. an extra 5.99 a month so I can use roaming with less charges because my line of job requires plenty of traveling. I explained to her that sometimes I have to carry extra phones just so I can use the simcards I bought at a different place like the philippines.
Can't wait to try it out with my Philippine Globe simcard. I made a slight detour to guam to pick up some friends. Leaving tomorrow to the philippines.
Oh I did make a video. It was tight seeing "t-mobile" appear on that blank space (where at&t use to be) above the words "screen locked". The anticipation was crazy (for me at least lol).

thanks! anyway any of u guys bought the set direct from AT&T? coz mine was from Dell and I'm afraid they will reject the request
but I guess AT&T dont even has Dell Streak in their store.. am I right?

are you sending them receipt from Dell or you got your streak from AT&T?
Got it straight from Dell. I think that's why they need a copy of the receipt. If I had bought my Streak from AT&T they would alerady have a record of the purchase, I think... I'll post the outcome and hopefully a video.

yups.. but i'm afraid if they see the receipt is not from AT&T, they wont release the unlock code.. hmm

I've got my unlock code! I can say that unlock team and AT&T are really understanding of the customer's needs!
i bought a dell streak (full price) from BestBuy usa. Then i returned to VietNam. But i can't use my streak because it requires unlock code. I tried to contact with many code provider, but they said that my unlock code is not found. they asked me to contact with dell to get information.
today i called for dell, at&t and bestbuy. But i were very disappointed. they said that can not to find unlock code for me. i'm look like a unlucky guy. because they got some problems with my dell streak. they request me to give my streak back for them to check in 30 days. you know, i live in vietnam and i can't fly to usa just to give streak back for them. it's not fair because i paid full price for that thing.
Now i got pda streak without phone. I don't know what I have to do with it. I took much time for it, but i got nothing. It's not fair.

I called AT&T and they gave me my unlock code
My Streak is in the same situation. I purchased an used one from ebay, DELL claimed it's beta test one based on the service code that I provided. It works with AT&T sim card, but not T-Mobile, which I am using now. AT&T CR said no unlock code for my IMEI number.
PM me your EMIE # and I'll see if I can get AT&T to provide me the unlock code for your Streak. They are pretty nice to me(could be the business account)
I agree, there are some phones that ATT has on the "no questions asked" SIM unlock, and the streak should be one especially since they don't even carry it. All I did was call 611 (customer support), and said I was going out of the country on business and needed an unlock code so I could use a prepaid SIM card and they gave it to me no questions asked. They do need your IMEI as previously stated, but after that, they should give it up like a cheap prom date!
I'm having the same problem at the moment. I've unlocked 2 black streaks by calling AT&T. But when I called to unlock my white Streak, they told me that their system tells them that there is no unlock code available
I can use it with a Rebelsim though and since Steve has started releasing his froyo builds with the old baseband, there's no real need to unlock at the moment.

I'm starting to get the idea that my Streak cannot be unlocked. Before all of you with the black Streak chime in and say "I called AT&T and they gave me an unlock code", I did the same with two other black streaks.
AT&T are more than willing to give me an unlock code, although no matter how many times a call and ask for it I get the same response. Their system says that there is no unlock code available. I have opened three cases with AT&T and each case has gone past the date I was supposed to hear from them with no call.
I've also spoken to Dell a few times. Every time they say, "you will need to obtain an unlock code from AT&T".
Has anyone out there managed to get their white Streak unlocked?

I am in the same boat as you. I bought my white streak out of contract. A case was opened and I have to send a copy of the receipt tomorrow to get the unlock code. Did you send in a request to the unlock team and tthey never responded?

Yep, no response
When the streak first came out people would get the same response as dell hasn't released the unlock code generator to att.
What I did at this time is to ask the att rep to escalate it and open a case then I just waited and about 2 weeks later I got the email with the unlock code.
For my second streak I got the code right away over the phone.
i guess all you can do is wait till att's code generator app is updated to include the white streak.

I enabled camera upload but I still don't see 50GB of space (just 2GB I had all the time).

2. After sign in, you have to follow their instruction to activate 48GB.
Just create new account with new email address. Then u will get the 50gb

It's working when you follow the guide but the 48GB will be free for 2 years only after that time you will have to pay for it.

I got a galaxy s3 as a temporary replacement (my note 4 again got an air bubble under the glass) from warranty shop. I entered my drop box username and password during phone setup and... I was offered 50gb for 24months.
Thats totally strange. I didnt get 50gb with note4 but got that with almost 3 years old device.
Conclusion:
You dont need a new account to get 50gb.

I am thinking about buying Dell Venue Pro from ebay. I can not post link but the phone is brand new Dell Venue Pro - 8GB - Black AT&T Locked.
The problem is "Locked" . I sent email on [email protected] with question about is it still possible to get unlock code from dell but no answer. Then I sent same question on their facebook page and they answer:
"Dell Venue Pro phone is end of life and Dell is not providing any more support. We are sorry about it but if you have any other unresolved issue or concern, feel free to reach out to us, we can check on that."
There is also T-mobile locked version so I sent question about unlocking to them also and get this answer:
"Thank you for reaching out! We are unable to unlock the Dell Venue Pro directly, please reach out to Dell for assistance: (866) 955-2251, M-F 7 am-10pm CT, Saturday 10am-8pm CT. We would love to get some feedback from you regarding the help we provided. Please fill out this short, 4 question survey so that we can be sure we are maintaining our standards of excellence. I am from Croatia (Europe) and I need unlocked device but there is no unlocked version (new) on ebay.
There is online unlocking service unlockthatphone and they have in their offer unlock code for DVP for $34.99
Does anyone unlocked DVP in last 6 months or in last year? And how?

I work for Dell’s Social Media Team. This is in regards to your post on Facebook about unlocking a phone.
If you are talking about a network lock then I am afraid we would not be able to help and need to contact the service provide. However if it is a logon password which is being prompted then send me the service tag along with customer name, place of purchase, address. Then I can check and see what can be done.

So it seams that it is still possible to get free unlock code from them.
I bought phone from ebay. It should be in my hands for 10 days.

This is the most successful, single-user thread I've ever seen, haha. Awesome to hear that the email still works and hasn't been killed like their support for the device.
Its a great phone for texting and basic use. Good speakers too.. still my favorite even though its woefully out of date now.
