[Q] System time from network ?? - GT540 Optimus General

I've got an LG GT 540 with Android 2.1 The system clock isn't auto-updating from the network. Are there any settings that will get it to work properly?
Thanks,
Aleksandr

I don't know how often it updates, although it's probably when it connects to the network (turning on, coming out of flight mode or getting connection)
You could try android.com for more

App to monitor data usage ?

Can anybody recommend an app to monitor my data connection ?
Similar to SPB Wireless on WM.
Any help really appreciated.
3G Watchdog.
I got a widget off the market called data counter, simple front end that sits on my home screen with lots of stats and options in the background, works good for me

NetCounter is also a good one, free on the market.

I use, and would recommend this too.
I use NetTraffic.

It seems some users said it does not work on HTC Desire.

Doesn't work for Wifi on mine, and the cell counter is WELL out as well. I've been downloading quite a bit via 3G over the last week, and it reckons I've only downloaded 1.24MB...
+1 for 3G watchdog - does what it says on the tin. Very pleased with it...
I just tried the "3G Watchdog", but I cannot see any option to "disable" it.
Once I activated by setting it, I saw the icon ets ... but I cannot de-activate / disable / turn it OFF.

Only way I know of to do it is to close it under running services and then open the app again next time you are going to use mobile data.
I just keep it on as I keep my phone on mobile data unless I need to browse the web at home as the wifi is crap for notifications, they hardly seem to work when the screens locked on wifi.
3G watchdog is great!

Vibration Not Working For Me

Hello all, I am running Sergio 76s Core Droid 0.5 with his Core Cell ROM, and for some reason, I can't seem to get the vibration to work. Tried going to settings and put it on the appropriate setting, but no go. I'm going to keep tweaking but if anyone can help out, It's appreciated.

Please install smart vibrator from the market. This is a common issue for builds. And next time do the search

Did you try power cycling the device? If it still won't work you could uninstall kies then reinstall and see if that works for the update.

this would work fine, minus the re-installing keis part, terribad software that only works half the time, Simpson8: just do the over the air update settings -> about device (or tablet cant exactly remember on kmm) -> software updates -> check for updates, the update your looking for is kmp, it started getting pushed out Monday.
Factory reset the tab first

Hi all,
I have a 7500 3G model and when I am on 3.1. Where do I need to go on the Tab to manually check if there is an OTA update?
Cheers,
M

Settings -> About Device -> Software Updates -> Check for Updates
You should shave Samsung account configured in your tab to get this work.

Every time I try to set up an account or try to login in hangs :-( Has anyone else had this issue?? I get a message saying 'Processing Failed'...
Got it to update. Seems to be a market update nothing more that I have found.

How did you get it to update??
Seems like a market up date, yes. Question on your new Market: does it fill your screen? Seems silly that there are black bars on the left and right.

I just went to check for updates manually and it was there as a firmware update.

Cheers, is that through the Software Update option on the Tab? Are you able to sign into your Samsung account? For me it fails every time I try :-(

This happened to me when I first got my tab as well. Here is what I did to fix the problem:
Go to settings and manage applications.
Force stop the Samsung Account and then clear data.
Open the Samsung Apps app and it will ask you to log in again.
Reboot and try again. This was last June that it happened, so I hope I'm remembering right.
The update gave me the new market and fixed the incredibly annoying swype problem that was jumbling up my text. Thank god.

I could use help with this also, I'm not having any luck either.
Found another thread where setting to generic ICS/JB wlan0 worked for that user but no luck on my end.
If anyone has WiFi Tether successfully running on Rooted Razr M and would be willing to share their setup/settings, it would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
I have been trying to get this working for my lil bro but so many variables....I will play around with generic jb setting and see...

What are your other settings? I.E., Setup Method, Send NetID Max Client command, routing fix, mss clamping, etc.
If you'd be willing to post the other settings that would be great - thanks!

Okay I did the same settings and it works now, however, best I can tell it's operating in "Ad-Hoc" mode.
Does anyone know how to get it to work in "Infrastructure Mode?"

I ended up doing the entitlement check hack and using the native hotspot app.
Seems to be working just fine.
I was only able to get WiFi Tether to work in Ad-Hoc mode and couldn't reliably connect other devices to it that way...
I did the entitlement to but no go? maybe cause I'm using mines with gsm. idk
