It should be ours. Since its nightly 0(which indicates the first nightly) it wouldn't be the GSM version which has many releases. I am curious if anyone who has flashed can see if 4g settings are in there and working.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA Premium App
No there is a separate 4g section for crespo so this is definitly NS4G file. I'll be flashing this tonight. Here is the build.prop text:

I am getting the same error. I did a full wipe of everything... data/cache/system/boot
...and I get the status bar crash. Has anyone installed this with success? I mean of course - is anyone running this successfully?
Had the same. BUT I did connect to 4G on it.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086187
its for us, but they broke some things, namely the status bar, yes 4g works on it. joeykrim has a fully working version just without 4g.. he already knows on what needs to be changed just need to give him some time
Already fixed and merged into the repository. Should be in the next nightly
Awesome. I hope Joey pulls the fix and updates so we don't have to wait until tomorrow.

So it looks like its just 2.2 not 2.2.1..... oh well I guess.... it will be a good source for some roms. I'll be trying the modem but probably stick with andromeda for now....

Thats because if this is it all we are getting is more outdated software......the modem isnt anything exciting and its 2.2 not 2.2.1
sent from my porcelain throne.
Has anyone flash the rom? And if so any difference in GPS performance? I think that was the key thing with this update
It's odd (backwards) and wholeheartedly to be expected of Samsung to build a Froyo ROM on 2/1 but it not Android 2.2.1. Is there any other way to tell besides the build.prop?
So is that going to be the new song and dance when it goes official? Everyones going to be crying for 2.2.1? If your not using it now then you shouldn't have this phone

Does it have reboot problem?
im using xila2 for over 2 weeks and i never had that reboot problem. now im on xwla4 for just a day, i dont have much to say for now...hehe
For me LA4 is much quicker than LA2. Scrolling is smoother, and imo apps works better(more performance)
For some reason this firmware can't connect to my DIR-655 router. It's stucked at "getting ip address".
I made a custom rom and ripped out some stuff. I used the same script as I did for LA2 which works fine. Tried factory resets, router reset etc, nothing worked. Restored the LA2 backup and everything is fine again.
Might try later on the original rom and see if that works.
Does this build have the same e-mail problem that was present in la2 ?

For some reason this firmware can't connect to my DIR-655 router. It's stucked at "getting ip address".
I made a custom rom and ripped out some stuff. I used the same script as I did for LA2 which works fine. Tried factory resets, router reset etc, nothing worked. Restored the LA2 backup and everything is fine again.
Might try later on the original rom and see if that works.

Man try flashing custom kernel like Siyah http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263838
been using LA4 for a day and it's rly good. No reboots no nothing performance is awesome!

I tried speedmod k20 and k21. Both didnt work on LA4, but do work with LA2 (talking about the wifi connection). Will try different kernels and routers later on.

A really good built. Using along with the latest syiah kernel. Not a single fc. Battery life seems good as well (extended Samsung 2000Mh).
Anyone can recommend a working theme for this rom?

Downloading now, but flash tomorrow I'm going to bed now.
wow...Another one for germany! Hope this time Samsung has removed the emmc bug command line, this would be a big joke if they did not correct this problem considering they release 2 german firmwares so fast!!
Had anyone flashed this ROM
Any changes noticeable?

Phone feels a bit faster, a number of new app installed. Some of them are in German completely, and that is funny as I as in Sweden and had an OTA update,
New keyboard installed. Quite buggy, as I managed to crash it with the first SMS.
Root access remain. no need for rooting again.
how about the black clipping problem?
Just got the OTA now. The New Keyboard kinda looks like the SGS3 one and it seems a bit smoother as well

I think these came with this update.
Can you test if they removed the unified search?

Regarding to all about samsung (german website), they did not remove local search http://allaboutsamsung.de/2012/07/samsung-galaxy-note-erhalt-kleines-performance-update-xxlrk/
I have non rooted LRG but I am not getting LRK via OTA.
I also have the German csc. Am I missing a trick ?

Good advice!
So does that means this update is pretty much useless if we have LRG? any opinions for those who flashed it compared to LRG?

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up
I hope it can improve the signal.
Course won't be an OTA but rather an RUU , however I can see someone extracting the rom and releasing it as a "Stock Rooted" 2.16.531.6 in the development forum.
I wonder if the new radio they will have will be intended to bring up the old G2 to officially supporting Wifi Calling.

Improved signal not likely, better battery and maybe faster lock-ins , maybe. But course you get both of those already just flashing the 26.13.04.19 radio and then applying EDKey's appropriate ril/so patch.

What do you mean "officially" support wifi calling? Didn't T-Mobile add wifi calling when we got the update to gingerbread?

No because The T-Mobile wifi calling app as far as I know only supports the 26.13.04.19 radio, and that radio wasn't officially provided to to the G2 (or phones about it's age) in an OTA update. But it's been so long since I used stock.
captainreynolds is right, stock GB update back in fall 2011 added wifi-calling to the G2.

ahh ok, so that would have been the latest OTA they ever released for the G2. (when I inherited this G2, he apparently never performed an OTA update.)
Can someone extract the ROM from the file and post it? I don't have windows.
---------- Post added at 09:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:24 PM ----------
Nevermind, I found an open source extractor that pulls the rom under linux.
Where to start? There's a radio, system, boot, etc. Hang on...

Ya it's the same radio, so no update.

Anything that could be of use for custom roms?

Nope because we can already flash that radio for a few months now (note my signature) plus there's the ril/so patch for that radio for either CM7 or CM9, again for a few months now.
The only usefulness of that update would be for anyone who wanted a rooted 'stock' rom at it's latest.

well kbeezie, your primed to attempt a rom for yourself or at least begin some porting, why not choose this as your base? could be fun and probably a lot easeier than a build from source be it aosp, cm, aokp, or sense. a stock tmobile rom should be easy to root and remove bloat

I guess one would have to have a desire to do so.
Is it possible to flash g2 official RUU on DZ?
