Can I just say that this phone is great. Samsung really made me happy. I have some of the issues on these forums but consider them quite minor given the benefits the phone allows me.
It's by far and away the best phone i've used. And i'd like to think I have played with/owned most of them, except the latest nokias.
For all the troubles people are reporting there aren't enough of us saying how great it is.
Lets not forget though that the people on this forum also need thanks as they're the ones helping to fix most of the SGS2 troubles some are reporting. Bravo.
I feel that the troubles people are experiencing are minor. Which is great as it means Samsung really put on a good show from day one if all people are complaining about are what I would consider minor usability issues.
At this rate i'll be moving from recommending HTC's latest handsets as the top tier to Samsung.

By far the best phone I've ever used. Before I got this I had Nexus S for 2 months which I sold for a LG Optimus 2X which lasted just 5days. Lots of positves & the few negatives are pretty minor. A bargain too as I got it on the O2 contract with the cashback deal.
Seems to be quite future proof as well, looks like I might be keeping this one for the full 2yr contract.
this thing blows away everything else to an exponential degree and also agree i can use this for 2 years and am very happy keeping it insured

I am afraid the vibration feature is too weak due to the miniature form factor.
Also please be careful not to get stuck in the Micro SD card slot, I have heard enough of these stories from my surgeon friend.
yeap agree with everything the op said.this phone dominates.i was going to keep my sgs as a toy but after my sgs2 arrived i didnt touch it again haha.i remember reading all the tech sites, everyone worrying about dual cores chewing battery etc.all i have to say is that my batt life is the same doing the same things it just does it faster.cheers sammy.4th product in a row i bought from them.(wave.sgs.tv.sgs2)

Spent the afternoon with my Grandkids yesterday and showed my new phone to my son - he was loving it and before I left, I took out my sim card and gave him the phone. I have a great kid - he's an adult now with kids of his own, a big mortgage, a stressful job and a high maintenence wife [I adore her, and she is worth every penny he spends on her.] .. It's rare that I see him giving himself expensive gifts. He does everything for his family and it reminds me a lot of my father .. besides, I love giving presents to him. When he was growing up I was a single parent and sometimes I couldn't give him what he wanted - Now I can.
That is on ehell of a admirable act!
It was a "feel good" moment for the both of us!

I am expecting an Xperia on Friday - I never really got to play with the Dream so if the Xperia doesn't thrill me, I have another phone that is allowed an upgrade so I might buy another.

Changing to Iphone? thats baaaad. three of my friends bought iphone, 2 got rid of it under 14days for free return and bought htc tytn2 and Diamond. Third one didnt because he paid so high price that he has to stay with it.

ive used an iphone before.. ive never had a problem with it.. its so much better now with all the apps. tons of people have it.. theirs no issue. their are problems with all the phones.
no phone is perfect and not every phone is perfect for everyone.

Phone feels great. Very impressed.
Some people kept saying it felt cheap but it does NOT feel cheap it feels well made but it doesn't feel as good as a Nexus One.
Some people said and showed on video that it was laggy but it was NOT when I tested it.
I like how thin it is and the XL Super AMOLED Screen
I also just demoed one. And sad to say it kills my nexus. The screen is absolutely gorgeous .... avatar was like blue ray quality and the 3d gpu really is nice.
I ran neocore and it was just amazing... the phone is light but does not feel cheap at all, actulmy very surprised after some reviews said its like a toy..

I sold my N1 Monday and been without a phone for a few days
I think some people say it feels cheap because of the weight and they think heavy phones are made with better materials, That's like saying the $750,000 Zonda F (witch is made of Carbon fiber) is cheap because it's lighter than most super cars .

I targeted people over seas, that's were you will get the most money because most of those guys can't get it and the android phones they have don't have protected apps or paid apps in the market.

VERY well said.
I had my mind set on the HTC M9. The "leaks" from evleaks had me drooling.
Watching the live event left me disappointed, then on to Samsung.
For me that phone is utterly stunning, I can't wait to get hold of this & add Nova Prime etc.

I agree with you, it does look outstanding. I cannot understand why so many people are complaining. Samsung have been rightly criticised for their lack of design, especially on the flagship devices. They did a good job with the Note 4 and they upped the bar with the S6.
The usual iDiots complaining it somehow looks like an iPhone, which apart from a similar speaker grill - it clearly does not... There will be those that gripe about the lack of removable battery and SD card of course (and they may have a point) but WAKE UP! This is a phone made by Samsung that actually looks gorgeous and actually looks like a flagship phone.
I am more of a Note fan so I won't be buying an S6 but am very much looking forward to seeing what they come out with for Note 5 this year if it builds upon this revamp of the Galaxy range.
I think the phone looks great. One issue that will bug the crap out of me is the fingerprints on the back. I want the black one, but may have to get white to mask it.

First take into account the OS size, so 32 is now 30 if you're lucky. If you have a kid like me, you take a lot of pics and vids. Average 13mp photo is 5mb or so each. Now with this phone, I'd have to copy all the data on my 128gb SD off to the phone storage. Taking into consideration I had a S4, S5, N3, N4, G2, G3, iphone 6. All photos and vids from each of those I have on my SD. It adds up.

If the hardware is in good condition. $200 is an amazing price. I would buy another one in a sec for that.
The stock camera works great now, but if you root and flash the modded GCAM is even nicer (love the lens blur & portrait modes). Performance has not been a problem for me, and I work for an AR/VR company and test those intensive apps all the time. Battery is great, and love the fast charging.
For context, I came from HTC M8 previously.

Great phone.
If it's coming from Sprint; make sure it's unlocked.
Pretty much the same as GospelNerd. Except I came from HTC M9. Great display, holds a charge, have no problems charging it, but I really don't use the camera much. If you trust your friend, I'd say go for it for $200. I just paid $295 on Swappa, with $360 camera.
200$ is cheap if the phone is in a good shape! Go for it !
Totally worth it for $200, and I would take him out for lunch on top of it, great deal as long as the phone it's in great condition
