I had been running CM7 7.0.0 off an SD and loved it so I decided to upgrade to CM7 7.0.3 on emmc. I followed eyeballer's guide on XDA (thanks!). Everything went fine except when I went to power down, after a few seconds it freezes indefinitely. I have to hold the power button down for about 8 seconds and then it finally shuts down. I've repeated this several times with same results.
Anyone know what could be causing this and/or how to fix?

Bought a Nook yesterday and have it running the the latest stable CM7 7.0.2 build.
However when I apply the Dalingrin OC kernel, it seems to have wiped away the CM7 bootup splash screen (the logo with the Android on the skateboard)? Now when I boot, I see the 'Read Forever' logo, then screen goes black/blank for a few minutes. When I press the power button again, then I get to the home screen.
Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks in advance!
I've noticed this as well. Very strange behavior.

I originally was trying to flash CM7 using a SD bootable version of CWM 3.0.2.8 and it wouldn't boot at all. So, after a bit of searching, came to find out my refurbished Nook was one of the "new" ones with the partition change and was told that custom ROMs won't work on it yet.
I then got a CWM flashable 1.2 stock ROM and flashed it back to stock. Now, it won't boot past the N screen. I tried holding the power and N button to get into recovery to restore it, but that process freezes up half way through.
Next, I tried the 8 times boot interrupt (which is only 4 on my Nook btw) and it too freezes up part way through while "Clearing Data".
Any ideas on where to go next?
Nevermind, problem fixed. Whew, I went from having a Nook that wouldn't even power on this morning to a fully restored one.
Turns out I needed to have the power adapter plugged in while doing the 8 boot interrupt process.
I recently rooted my UK Desire Z and flashed Cyanogenmod 7.0.3. Since then it has spontaneously rebooted itself quite alot, usually when connecting to the car power supply, pressing the power button or accessing the phone dialer. I've tried flashing the Pershoot kernel but it hasn't got any more stable.
Has anyone else had this problem?
My phone has been having random freezes on reboot for a long time. I unfortunately can't trace back when it started happening as it's been quite a while. It's been this way on every ROM (TW or CM based) and every kernel. It occurs either at the galaxy s4 screen if booting normally, or at the touchwiz screen if booting to recovery. The only way to unfreeze it is to hold vol down + power + home or pull the battery. I thought it might be the recovery so I flashed the newest version of TWRP but that didn't help either
Anyone have a similar issue? Know how to fix it?
