Hermes Simlock-activesync

Dear Hermesians
I would like to install the simlock software v3 but I fail to get an activesync connection due to the simlock .. a henn and egg problem..
To run the application the Hermes needs to be connected to the computer and that is what it is refusing to do.
Any help would be apprechiated! many thanks, D.

Hi folks..
sorry to behave like a damm newbie..but I am one ;(
I managed to run the prorgam on the phone and it mentioned even "success!"
after the soft reboot stick trick I learned, that SIM lock is still there and it sais even you tried 11 times, please wait untill timeout..

how to upgrade the bootloader?

does anyone know how to upgrade the bootloader on the himalaya at the moment mine reads at the top of the screen SERIAL and at the bottom V1.01.
I have a file which i think is a upgrade [boot_1.06.nb0]
but i have to need to know the do's and dont's as i would think this would be if done wrong brick my himalaya?
any help or links would be thankfull?

The only one question is
Why the hell you want to do that?
I have 1.01 also on my second today-use himalaya and it is really stable and works same as 1.06, but has some debugging output in mtty which is so useful
I tried also to upgrade it and I failed.

I have an O2 XDA II with windows mobile 2003 on it.
When in Bootloader Mode it says v1.01
when connected to the PC it says USB so i know its working in its own little way
I am trying to upgrade it to windows mobile 6.5.
I have tried everything so far and searched forums and tried things suggested on them but i just cant seem to do it.
Can someone send me a guide on how to do it please.
id be very greatful.

Hay mickey tell me that are you able to sync data or contects,msgs etc with system without disconnecting ?????????
or sometimes connection disconnects automatically ????/
if yes then put something stable thing in between data cable & device.

if anybody have same problem do as per my suggestion
put something in between data cable & device if you connect it without disconnection then it works flash the rom after putting it in bootloader mode

Don't do it
the bootloader is the main program which executes the system programs so avoid to upgrade bootloder.
the result will be permanent damage to your lovable device...
it can't boot more. so be careful.
no need to upgrade it as per my suggestion.

HELP.HTC Surround can't Switch USB MODE ,can't zune mode

hello,I'm from china.and I get wp7 phone HTC 7 Surround.It's a phone for test.and I try to Switch USBMode to zune mode,it does't work..It only can work on Diag mode..so,someone can help me? The DIag mode Driver can’t find.It seems to unlock for developer？

how did u get it to be security unlocked ?

He has a pre-release phone, it came with a custom firmware that has those tools pre-installed.
YuLong, have you tried rebooting the phone (remove the battery, etc)?
If that doesn't work, have you tried connecting it to a different computer with just the Zune software? It might work.

he shuld prob contact some Devs in this forum and get his ROM dumped or backed up somehow, it may be usefull for Jailbreaking or something....

that's a test rom, not a shipping ROM, so none of us will see that.

I need a htc surround rom desperately as i made the great mistake of purchasing a likely stolen store display model. its main account is set to [email protected] and keeps popping up with fake texts and refilling the contacts with fake contacts. my battery dies fast. Im sure im not the first to ask for a rom, but lord knows i need one.

[Q] Help me with HD2 wp7

I've install XBmod-WP7-V1.04b into my HD2, Windows Dev tools and Zune.
It's a unlocked rom, but when I try to install Xap, it shows
"Error Connection."
-Please make sure your phone is unlocked !
-Please make sure you connected device to PC and Zune launched
Try Again.
My Zune detected my device, and its NOT gust relation.
The rom itself already unlocked !
please help me !~

Please read the stickies. There is a section there for unlocking the device and sideload apps, also if your device has been locked.

none of them work that's why i posted here.

Have you made sure that the phone is at start screen? Not at lock screen or screen off?

If you forgot to put the phone in flight mode before connecting to Zune, it has most likely been relocked.

-Screen not in lock mode, i am very very sure the screen is unlock
-yes, Flight mode
is it the computer problem? im using windows 7 ultimate 32 bit in macbook pro 2010 15" ...my previous windows laptop can unlock last time, now i not yet try.

Have you EVER connected the phone to Zune without flight mode activated?

never minds guys, thanks anyway. I relock it with my presvious laptop already. Macbook can't do that i guess. =/

LG E900 Optimus 7 - Error communicating with phone

I do not know whether the right place, there is a problem, I have a LG E900 Optimus 7 recognizes the Zune phone, when I try to open Developer Phone Registration (Status: Error communicating vith the App Hub. Please set the correct date and time on the phone, check the internet connection and try again later (ErrorCode:0x64))

ChevronVP7( Sorru, I`m having trouble communicating with the phone. - Please make sure it`s connected using USB, - Please start the Zune application).
not know where the problem is tried I have to unlock everything, do we have to make a factory reset on the phone or make me what to do

Could it be that your device it's already developer unlocked via the MFG method? That would explain why developer registration and Chevron WP are not working.
