Can anyone point me to the directions to do so? I see where it says do not flash, but when I follow the link to the RG website, I can't find the instructions to get them on my phone.

Easiest way is to download AWD launcher and use their themes.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056292
Those are the themes available for theme chooser in your app drawer. They are in apk format, so you can just put them on your SD card and install them through a file manager which will make them available in the theme chooser app.
Thank you. That worked.

what rom are you using and how are you installing the font packs?
I'm running iced glacier 1.1 and I'm using Microsoft word fonts and save them to my SD card like they say to but don't know what I'm supposed to put in the files or how much to type I have been just typing the font name in the font style?????
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
The easiest way to change fonts is just flash a font pack in recovery. I have a thread in this section with a few flashable pack, and someone else posted a link to hundreds of them
Thanks ill Check it out on lunch break so I don't need font app?

Font Changer Lite is working for me on Gridlock's (Option94 and teamsilence) CM7SRC build 46. It is also works on Zinx's previews. Make sure your .ttf files are in .font changer folder on sd card. Hope that helps.

Dude, he was asking for HELP, not to be made fun of...
no, back to the question at hand. to root the mytouch 4g, you would need to follow one of the guides to rooting found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=866175
that link also has links to all the other things you will need, but Ill provide them here as well for time's sake.
once you do that and have s-off, you will need to flash an alternate recovery to flash a rom. Normally, you would need to install rom manager to do this, then flash clockwork recovery through there, but to install gingerbread, it requires a special version of the recovery which is not officially supported by rom manager yet, so you will need to either install through fastboot (follow the steps provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=852905 )
or else follow the instructions provided by TruBlue found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10670110#post10670110
once you have the right recovery installed, youll need to wipe data and caches, and then flash the gingerbread rom of your choice.
As for what apps you will need for all this: ROM Manager, as I mentioned (the premium version if you'd like to take advantage of CM built in nightly build update notifications). Titanium Backup (for backing up all your apps so you dont have to manually redownload them all, and have your app data intact on the new rom), and Root explorer (optional) for a root-enabled file manager.
Any further questions, feel free to send me a PM. Thanks to Tiger013 for compiling the list of everything, grankin for his Root how-to's, and TrueBlueDrew for his how to on install CWM 3x.

I have been looking for Google talk with video chat .apk but I can't find it anywhere can someone lead me in the right direction and help me out?
I'm running virtuous unity 1.27. If that helps thanks guys

Google it. It'll point you to Android General section.
The only thing I have found from googleing it is ways through adb and flashing it. I was wondering if there is an apk.
Download gapps.zip from rom manager or through one of the aosp based rom threads, open the zip with root explorer and extract talk.apk
There are flashable ZIPs that also include 2.3.4 framework (which is needed for the apk to work). Use Google better.
"Google talk video xda" is the obvious string that you should have tried. I just checked again for you.
Thanks for checking again for me jack! Your such a sweetheart hahaha

Download "Talk 1.3 Installer" from the market. This got brought up in the virtuous unity thread and I suggested it there, too. It's crazy easy and quick.

I was just about to mention this. I can confirm it works on Cyanogen's CM7 ROM.
I was using MIUI by TDJ and the Weather / News app was extremely useful. I have switched to InsomMIUI and was wondering if anybody has ported this app to other MIUI builds. Is there a way to get it on InsomMIUI? I am a noob so cannot post in the InsomMIUI development forum.
I've never used his build, what app is this? I'll look if you reply and see what it is.
this has been a message from the dead pool.
It may be a GAPP
My noobishness makes me think this may be a GAPP. Not sure what it is, here are some screenshots
That's the genie app/widget. Its an aosp app. You can search for it, or maybe someone can upload it. You should be able to just install it like any other app.
I haven't seen or heard anything from the miui weather app in a while.

Try to put GenieWidget apk in system/app direction or put in same folder in .ziped rom and install him when you next time update you miui.
I tried both suggestions and unfortunately neither worked. It still keeps force closing

Ok, loot this topic or this. If not help delete Genie and try to install this file from recovery.
Finally worked after trying several different versions. I did have to move to the system/app file then fixed permissions. Thanks for all the help folks and for the awesome continued support for MIUI on MT4g LL.
