[Work Thread] Invert HTC Sense Popups - Desire Themes and Apps

Hello,
I've been working in the last few days at integrating hazmatics' Honeybread in a Sense 2.1 ROM (LeeDrOid) and it seems that I've reached a wall so I ask for your help:
I've managed to change the colors for the menus, contextual menu, power menu and some popups when using Sense's Launcher (see below)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But others are out of my grasp (see below)
I've modified so far:
- com.htc.resources -> values -> styles.xml -> text_style_primary, text_style_secondary, text_style_tertiary
- com.htc.resources -> color -> list_item_primary_text.xml
- com.htc.resources -> color -> list_item_secondary_text.xml
- com.htc.resources -> color -> list_item_tertiary_text.xml
- com.htc.resources -> color -> text_selector.xml
(and as last resort: )
- com.htc.resources -> values -> color.xml -> primary_text_color, secondary_text_color
Does anyone have any idea where else I should look?

I am theming on 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 Gingerbread, quite a long time since Froyo
You may take a look here :
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/themes.html
hope it helps you

those xml edits should most likely be in SystemUI.apk. I would try that first and if it doesn't help I would bet that they are in framework-res.apk. I am just learning all of that too and I'm trying to implement it into my first theme

Could possibly take a look here too mate...

[Q/Help] WM 6.5.x theming (textbutton color)

Hi guys,
I'm very new to theming WM 6.5.x standard themes. I took a standard one and tried to edit them. Pretty easy
The only thing I need help is how to change color to the standard text buttons.
I found this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/ff599682.aspx
I put that REG_DWORD here (as described @ MSDN):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\<myownthemename>
COLOR_BTNTEXT = ffffff
(Changing the textcolor to white)
BUT: I don't get it to work
Does anybody know what I did wrong?

To make it clear: I want to change the textcolor of the button(s) which are labeled as "Löschen/Durchsuchen"
try using an app called UI Tweaker, it could change some system values without big problems (it is possible to export and import the schemes to verify every step in the modifing procedure)

but there's no effect on it
Are you sure, it's the right reg-entry?

[MOD] Settings Icons from Gingerbread 2.3 v0.1

I don't like the standard icons in the settings menu from sense.
The normal android icons are cooler, and the icons from Gingerbread, woah!
So i decided to change the icons.
This is looks like before
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And now after my little mod
Now i need a Icon for Personalization and connect with PC, and a new for search. Cause Gingerbread dont offers these icons.
I tested this only on my HTC Desire with Modaco r9, but it should work with every Sense ROM.
Just go to /system/app and replace your existing Settings.apk with mine
When you find some icons that are not replaced so give me a short feedback.
And now, the apk
Hmm, tried this with DJ 1.9 Sense ROM and it does not work. Gives me an error message when I try to access Settings. I guess it might be because the version # is 2.13 vs. 2.10 on MCR?

Yes, that seems likely.
The settings app is heavily linked with the android framework.
You can upload your settings.apk so i can change the icons in your version.
Or maybe i post a guide how to change the icons in every rom and only give you the icons...
wonderful! und auf gut deutsch...wunderschön! thx for this MOD..
I decided to write a guide, cause it seems that it doesnt work in every rom.
And with a guide i can also modify more icons like these in the shutdown menu.

That's isn't be that I need, I need to change the default color without any interface modification, that I wan't to do is modify any xml that contan the default color.... but my problem is that I don't where and what is that xml....
i think you should change the default colour on the menu thro it's code... not in the systemui... i think so
Settings > Cyanogenmod Settings > Interface > Notification power widget > Indicator color

I believe he's putting a pre-customized ROM together and would like to change what the initial color is.
I've been trying to do the same thing with no luck finding the code for it

[DISCUSSION] accessibility option - help in theming

Hi guys...
I just saw this now (I was lazy to work last few months but I'll try to work on few projects now) and this could really help is to theme our Lolipop UI to dark...
If we change few lines we could easily have one switch to change UI to dark..
Without boring smali editing and assets drawing...

}
I can't show you screenshoot because it can't be taken that way (and as I said, I'm lazy to take another device to take a picture) but try to enable this function and check results...
We can and I'll try to use this feature to enable dark UI in a really time (without flashing mods or roms...)
There's even color correction to choose another bar colors.
Once again - that will only change colour you see on the screen but I really think it's enough for the beginning...
Anyone tried? (to modify that settings, not only to use stock)

Great point mate!
I've found something similar in dev settings. Not sure how this settings is called in English but go down to 4x MSAA setting. There you will see what I mean..
Maybe we can figure it out with help of this: http://www.designrifts.com/teamblackedoutapp/tutorials/ ?
So we should search for the lines which changes after switching to inversion mode?
Am I right if I think this switch "changes" the line in framework-res.apk?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343484
https://android.googlesource.com/pl...fs/heads/master/core/res/res/values/attrs.xml
Btw. a little question. Why I am not possible to change for example navbar icons with a theme apk in LP? I've decompiled the themes from LP and did there the changes..
