hey guys whats up i have been looking for the original htc evo shift 4g rom well i was flashing around roms and before you know it i completely forgot to back up my system so if anyone can help me get the original rom for the evo shift back on my phone that would be great please hurry thanks
If your needing the stock unrooted rom with s-on, newkidd has a one zip ruu that will do that and let you start the perm root all over again its in the development section

Hey XDA.
I'm trying to revert my myTouch 4G back to its original state.
And I'm kinda new to this, so I need help on doing this.
I installed the Desire Z ROM onto it.
I need to get it back to the Original myTouch.
I thought I backed up my .IMG file, but I guess I didn't.
So can anyone help me on doing this?

There is a "downgrade" guide... that is your best bet... be sure to revert the gfree if you followed the "Ultimate S=off" method

The Unlockr has a stock MySense Nandroid back up along with the a stock recovery image so you can flash the Nandroid backup from a recovery screen, then flash the stock recovery image if you want to go all the way back to stock. along with how to undo g/free and turn s=on.

How do i flash them im running sprint lovers rom they updated to the one the file gave me but i want to change the rom to mikfroyo 4.4 or Myn’s Warm TwoPointTwo and they all require a update ..
i get the combo but when put it on the root of sd and try to flash it like a rom it doesnt work...
I also have my sis evo running on cyanogen rom i tryed to put it to the one i have sprint lovers rom but it doesnt do it like nothing happens Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions that come in Sprint lovers Rom automatically don't update or copy ...
My sister is running on cyanogen mod I think that's how you spell it before she was on hiui
Or that Chinese one and I changed it to the cyanogen . But once I tried changing it to sence with the Sprint lovers Rom it didn't do it IDK why can some one explain that please I'm a noob?

My advice to you, where you are very new and uncertain is to hold off on updating those things and go with a rom that does not require them to be updated....
If you're going to do it anyway, you should do them individually, I find this works best....then if one doesn't work you can isolate the issue.... here is a link to the thread in the dev section with all the updates ...

ok so i unrooted my phone so the s-on and i was using the stock 2.2.1. i decided to give the new leaked or whatever u wanna call it gingerbread 2.3.4 found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1174344
now i cant flash back to the stock 2.2.1. everytime i go to hboot and use the PD15IMG.img file and now it says older version, update failed. so now i dont know how to get back to the stock 2.2.1. if someone can help me that would be great. thanks
Download the new panache ruu, install it, then after that's done use the 2.2.1 Img. In bootloader, then re root. That's what I had to do. Now that's if you are still s-off like I was. If you need or want detailed step by step pm me and id be glad to hop on the computer and guide you through it.

well when i flashed to the new gingerbread leak i was completely back to stock with s-on. so im trying to figure out how to go back to the stock 2.2.1.

lmao true i cant get it to work either.. this is crap lol i would have never flashed that leaked gingerbread rom if i would have known that it was gonna be a ***** to flash back to the stock 2.2.1. i flashed it with the s-on i just went to the bootloader and let it pick up the update then i hit yes and now i cant flash it back to the stock build. oh well i guess we just gotta wait. i just got my sensation 4g so its whatever. i just gave my gf the mytouch 4g.
this sucks hopefully someone can figure out how to go back to the stock 2.2.1 rom from this stupid gingerbread leak. it messed up my phone pretty much cause now im stuck with it and i cant get it back and visionary wont even temp root my phone or anything. i hate this gingerbread leak rom. the phone has too many data issues. so if someone can figure out how to get it back to stock please let me know asap. i have s-on and im not rooted.
ive been searching for a good htc evo 4g stock rom so i can root my phone. but guess im bad luck or something and everytime when i run a stock ruu exe it would give me an error stating that i need a complete ruu file. do anyone know where i can find this? ive downloaded at least 5 differernt stock rom exe files and none of them would work! thx

What's wrong with your current stock ROM? It should be easy to root what ever stock ROM you currently have on your device with revolutionary S-OFF method.
Firstly you need to do some reading on how to root your phone using either the unrevoked or revolutionary method to then be able to use Custom ROMs. Also, keep in mind that the development thread is only for posting developed work; this thread belongs in the Q&A section instead.
well its my first post so give me a break ok? well i was trying to unroot it with unrevoked but i got a error telling me that my firmware was to up to date. so my plan was to download a older shipped rom so i can unroot it but i guess the file that i have was bad so now im stuck on the main screen with "triangles on all 4 corners and htc logo on the center. i cannot get the phone to bootloader as well.
Are you trying to root or unroot you have said both double check before you send your reply so we have accurate information to help you I don't know what you're trying to do from your posts
Hello all , well I had it working great, used the HTC unlock procedure, because i`m at 1.50 HBOOT S-ON "Unlocked" ... installed the manual recovery, then flashed it with FRESH 4.1 for shift, it seemed fine, then I got into installing apps and it glitched on me and went into this reboot cycle....
Guess I did`nt wipe it right or something, because all it will do is turn on and say "FRESH" then reboot and does the same.....
I downloaded the stock RUU and it fails says" error recovery failed" I have tried everything and spent hours on this 1....
Is there anyone out there with a Nandroid Backup file ?
is that what I need ? i`m screwed here....
you guidance would be greatly appreciated

What is this FRESH you talking about? I haven't seen a rom with that name over here, are you sure this rom was made for the Evo Shift 4G? I know theres a HTC Shift which is diferent than our phone.

I used Fresh for the past 16 months on my EVO4G and figured it was a safe bet on the shift.........

Im not sure but if you unlocked with the htc tool, you have to delete the boot.img from the rom .zip, and than fastboot flash the kernel...

Yes it is unlocked with the HTC tool, and at 1.5.0 Hboot S-on........ but like I said I was able to load the fresh rom on it...
How can I do what you say as I now have a paperweight

You might want to go thru the root process if its still s-on, the ruu your using might be rooted version, try downloading the ruu from HTC sight or try factory reset from bootloader.

s-on will always show on 1.5 Hboot units after running HTC unlock tool... It does say "unlocked" now, I have done another phone like this and it worked fine....this one just glitched on me.
I tried the stock RUU from HTC and it fails,and have tried factory reset.... to no avail .....Help !!!!

You keep saying hboot 1.5, AFAIK the Shift doesn't have a bootloader with that version number. I know the EVO 3D was locked down with the 1.5 bootloader, is that what you are referring to?
If you are using a Shift and have used the unlock tool, you should look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1490747. If you could flash the misc.img, then maybe you could get the ruu to work.
