Everything works flawlessly in this release and its very snappy.

Thanks to Tanimn for his help with root etc.
We will be releasing this after some more internal testing and ok from our source
Any questions?

FM RADIO SEEMS TO BE BONKY! not sure if removing CIQ is the cause or if my headphones are crappy will report back. But it seems to cut in and out at will.

Is the screen timeout bug, and the battery bugs fixed?

The battery bug is fixed, and testing has not produced a repeat of the screen timeout bug. Signal seems to be much improved with the EE03 modem, and Netflix works out of the box (no hacks needed).

sorry if this is a dumb question
but is netflix working with this build?

That's good to hear, because after playing around with ED12 I noticed I had to set my keyboard timeout to follow screen timeout,or screen would timeout on whatever keyboard timeout was set to, weird bug. Then as I'm driving to work I keep getting the battery to hot message, but never got this as it was charging, another weird one...
If you can see this link please take a few moments to click and read, its for a good cause, you can make a difference, help spread the word today...

These comments make it sound to me just about official releaseable, but whosdaman said it's still got noticeable bugs. Anyway, good stuff, thanks for your work and keeping us in the loop.

Cool man, but obviously there are known GPS fixes and Bionix just incorporates one.
Also if I had to make a judgment call I would say that this belongs in the bionix thread, since it is bionix related.

I did the first GPS fix that came out way back when where i changed the SUPL/CP settings to supl.google.com. GPS never picked up at all when "use wireless networks" wasn't checked. Tried bionix 1.2 & 1.3.....never picked up with supl.google.com or default. tried the leaked GPS fix....with supl.google.com and default...still no pick up. Am i doing something wrong? i know it can't be hardware

Enough about 2.2 and the GPS Fix!

We get it we all have gps problem and want 2.2 to fix problems, but this damn posting every two minutes about it is getting old fast. Lets all just shut up untill samsung says their announcement this week. K Thanks

I saw this thread bumped and I thought maybe someone had downloaded the 2.2 update,
My GPS works great with JI5
Quite honestly the solution to this is really quite easy. All the mods have to do is put a sticky at the top of this section saying: "All thing's Froyo related, rumours, etc, post here". Problem solved. Don't know why they haven't done it yet.

I like Axura. Just flashed 2.2 today and everything is fine except i havent been able to send a MMS yet. Im sure ill get it fixed soon. 2.1 was running great for me. Guess is should of just kept that one.
I'll hold my breath for cyanogen the same I do for samsung. I've used cm on various devices, and while good, what exactly is it going to bring to the vibrant that team whiskey (or any other current dev besides axura) doesn't? They have bugs and issues, maybe not a ton, but they're there.
I'm happy with my tw vibrant.

Cleanup thread!
Deleted Off topic.
Please keep the topic of the thread!
I started with the G1 and have flashed too many ROM's to remember. I have found quite a few that I liked more than Cyanogen. Even though he has done a great job, just his name on a ROM doesn't make it the best there is.
not me!!, I'm going to keep flashing everytime there is a new rom I think is worth trying out, after all how will I know if I like something better if I don't try it?
What has the world come to? How can anyone call themselves loyal XDA followers and not be flashing a rom??? Its your duty.

Well, as we haven't even gotten 2.3 on the captivate yet..it will probably be a while for 3.0..hopefully it doesn't just work on tablets.
Well I heard news that the Nexus and Desire got a port of honeycomb, but they're non functioning atm

Truthfully...
Truthfully, I don't think that many developers truly tried to port 2.3 to us. Supercurio got that test demo out, but no one ever put out a legitimate ROM. And if we have to rely on Samsung... Well, lets just get used to having Froyo.
This just in: Cyanogenmod dropping development on CM7 for SGS.
Just kidding, but I couldn't resist. Lol

No it's a work in progress. If it was ready believe me you would know.
I've been using it for less than a day, but no show stoppers if you know what you're doing. phone works, mms/sms work, wifi can cause kernel panics if it falls asleep (just set to never sleep)... you can thank atinm and the cmsgsteam for it, but CM7 is VERY MUCH SO on the way and in progress

also, I already see this as going to be my daily driver at this point. the only "problems" I've seen are listed above (oh and the camera doesn't work quite yet, can't actually snap photos, just FC's on trying... but barcode scanner works)
not to mention the battery life is about 10% an hour on light usage

Been my daily for 2 weeks.
If anyone is prepared to do some work the rom is there. Just don't show up and ask how to install Linux, what is terminal etc. You need to be self sufficient, its not a simple cwm flash.

If you make a phone sized AVD from the honeycomb SDK, you get a very functional phone ROM. Looks very similar to gingerbread.

Idk, I would assume. I've only had it booted 10 mins or so. I'm still restoring apps.
It has a customized launcher... I haven't used V1 nextgen yet, so I'm not sure if it's a custom TW launcher or the GB launcher. I use Zeam so it'll get removed anyway.
Pulled a 1500 quad right into bootup. I'm setting up my apps, tossing in Bullet, and seeing what this thing screams at.

Can someone kindly put up screenies of this ROM please? Thanks
Quoted from Kevin Burns:
I am too exhaust right now to put the OP up in the forum. SO here is the brief changelog
added TouchWiz4 with working widgets
newly compile fugu binaries
"Stock" as in KA6 GPS configs for everyone who had problems hopefully this will help you out
Changed the Sdcard read hack and bumped it up to 2048
Newly updated Swype
Removed Starwars lockscreen but kept the Clock toggle
"Flying" animations
new hosts file to remove most junk and ads
Went back to Somb's GB look and feel
The wallpaper chooser is slightly off for right now, I have a fix for it, but it will forceclose everytime you reboot, but then work perfect afterwards. I will have a flashable up tommorow sometime for it. Otherwise the Wallpaper chooser that comes with nextgen2 works perfectly.

Yea, the launcher is TW4, animations are kinda cool, but I have them disabled.
The new swype they put in didn't work for me. The gingerbread KB is included, which I do use.
It's not themed, stock 2.2 look with the TW4 launcher.
It's really smooth and responsive ...looks like it's running a stock voodoo kernel.
