Now that I have 'rooted' my Iconia Tab a500, and thank you to the folks on here for making the process very simple, what is the app I should use to delete some of the unwanted blotware? I have looked at several file managers but do not see the option for delete. Any suggestions appreciated.

I used Root Uninstaller (Pro). By the way, don't uninstall things, it's better to 'freeze' them (the app is capable of doing that). That way you don't delete anything accidentally, and the frozen apps won't start or show up in the menu.
The free version of Root Uninstaller can freeze, but cannot unfreeze the apps (you need Pro for that). It can uninstall them however, but then they're gone forever unless you can get them from somewhere else.

Titanium Backup can freeze/backup/uninstall, etc - IMHO it's the best you can get
By the way, what exactly is 'freezing'? I know what it does in principle, but I'm curious about HOW it does it Thanks.
"Freezing" to open more ROM space?
Perhaps "freezing" means the program will not be loaded in ROM or RAM, not sure. If this is true, this would be a way to make more space available in ROM. Comments?

So, yes I searched around, and got close answers, but nothing that answers my ?'s exactly. About to root for 1st time, and then install CM, but before I start to mess with my phone at all, I want to back it up COMPLETELY...i.e. contacts, apps, app settings, dxtop homescreen shortcuts + colors, etc. etc. etc. And then, if I mess up root, how do I start over and re-install everything?
Also, once I root, will everything will be gone from my phone? I saw a thread @ androidcommunities saying yes, but is there anyway to "backup" the apps on my SD? Then copy the files SD -> computer? I don't want to install each app 1 by 1 again...And through my searchings, I'm afraid you're going to say "I have to", and if that's the case, and use apps2sd, will I EVER have to download apps 1 by 1 again?

Even if you backup your apps, you'll still have to reinstall them one by one from your backup. The Market has apps that can help backup your apps to apk formats. MyBackup Pro will backup app settings and shortcuts afaik, but it isn't free. Why worry about backing up contacts, they're sync'd with your gmail account.

How the hell do you fit 100 apps in an unrooted G1? Mine was full at the high 30's.
You can use AppManager.
I have AppManager, looking at AppManager Pro with batch install. However, last time my phone pooped on me (when updating to 1.5 with Dark Keys installed), I had to hard reset. App Manager installed all my apps. However, I had to go back and do it again 1 by 1 because the Market didn't recognize that my apps were installed when I re-installed through AppManager.
Is this problem fixed? Or is there a fix to this?
P.S. 113 apps (including default ones) installed

You can't get around that, Market only shows INSTALLED if installed through Market. Doesn't mean you can't use the app. If you need to keep up with updates, use aTrackdog with AppManager.

I guess my last question is, once I root and can install Nandroid, or Backup for Root, will I have to install 1 by 1 ever again, to make Market recognize apps? Or do these root programs backup the phone to be EXACTLY as it was when backup was made?

Market won't recognize installed apps unless install by Market, PERIOD. Nandroid backs up exactly the state of the phone, while Backup for Root can do individual things like SMS, Shortcuts, Data of apps, etc.
Backup for Root does have a check mark for "Market db", but I've never found it to work.
So, the bottom line, is that most rooted users don't use the market to update apps? They use AppManager/aTrackdog, because every time they restore, it would uninstall apps and market wouldn't recognize?
Use My backup Pro to back up your apps. After you root install adb on your computer, go to the application and games section and look for a thread XDA app pack 1.4 to batch install your apps. Use aTrackDog to keep up w/ updates. The market will no longer show them when you install off market. It will show them again after you update your apps (not all just the ones you update).
EDIT: copy app file from SD card (MyBackupPro) into XDA app pack folder to batch install

Yes, but if you use adb you can back up and restore your private apps No app on the market can do that.
I know this has been probably asked and answered many times but I'm new to xda community, if anybody can point me to a thread where it explains how to remove these useless apps like (bell pvr)
I use titanium backup. It is free in the Market. But be careful what apps you remove, I was told that certain apps require others to work.I just removed bell PVR and all the "social network" stuff.
When Titanium opens (Must be rooted) select backup/restore button at the top. Then scroll down to the apps you want to remove. Tap the icon then a list will appear, select uninstall.

I am aware about the Titanium backup and want to remove some useless (for me) apps, but as the above poster mentioned I am not sure which ones are safe to be removed and more importantly, what do we do in case we remove an app that shouldn't have been removed... So if anyone has successfully uninstalled some of the stock apps could mention which ones?
Your best bet would be to backup the files you want to remove. You can do this in Titanium. Then after you remove the files you want to remove. After you reboot see if it works. If not then simply go back into titanium and restore the backup.

you need to be rooted, and use Titan Backup (free)
everything in RED is preloaded
some are safe to remove, some are not
so make a backup before you remove anything

If u guys dont want to do it manually, might i suggest "systemapp remover" in market. It allows deletion of the apk followed by uninstalltion of the appropriate package name.
Titan Backup does that already, it backup and then uninstall
so if you screw-up by "accident" (removing things you shouldn't) you can restore from backup
Is there a nandroid backup or something we can extract the apk from.

Did u make a nandroid backup ? if so just unyaffs system.img
If not, then download the firmware ur currently using and proceed with this :

I've read all over these forums about how you can use titanium backup to uninstall the bell apps that come with the phone. But whenever I launch Titanium all I see are the following:
Accounts
Application Widgets
Bluetooth Pairings
Country, Language, Time Zone
Wi-Fi Access Points
I've checked the filters and they're not on.

So I went ahead and uninstalled stock apps using Root Explorer All went well & I'm happy enough. Boot speed alone has went from several minutes to <1. Less processes running, more RAM etc, it's all good
Question - I have installed Titanium Backup and I notice after a backup that the stock apps I uninstalled are still mentioned in the log file with a line through their name. There must be traces of each app still remaining. I'm sure Titanium would have removed them cleanly, but using root explorer I only removed the .apk from the system/app directory. I take it this was the dirty way to uninstall? Which directories should I look for for a manual clear out?
I'm new to linux based systems, but I want to learn & I can't leave traces of old files lying around cuz I'll have nightmares

Actually when you remove with titantium backup most apps will also stay with just a line through them.

I used setinstalllocation2 before rooting, then after root uninstalling some bloatware the stock android process list was still showing traces on my sd card.
After clearing caches using cache mate for root users all traces are gone.
So, today I rooted my note using Zerg-rush exploit and got the My Backup app.
So, my question is, can someone provide me with a list of apps/services that I can safely freeze with no adverse effect on functionality?
( Maybe I'll compile a list of all such apps/services that you guys mention, so that other n00bs like me can benefit from it.)

You can use Root App Remover. It can freeze and delete stock applications. The ones with red text (contacts, settings etc.) can't be removed, so it's pretty safe to use it if you know what you're doing. Do not delete random stuff just because you can. If you for example want to remove the stock keyboard remember to have another keyboard installed.
But it's totaly safe to freeze/delete the third party Samsung/carrier apps, but again be careful.
Hello mates, I am new to XDA and first and foremost I want thank to thank all contributors and developers for providing amazing tricks, tutorials, and features for all device users.
I own an S7 Edge under T-Mobile carrier (SM-G935T) and last time I tried to remove bloatware/system apps using Titanium Backup I believe I deleted necessary system apps that I shouldn't have deleted.
So my question for you guys is:
What app should I use or which app is the BEST out there that will help me disable ALL UNNECESSARY BLOATWARE without messing up the phone? I've heard of System App Remover Pro, Titanium Backup... but I don't know if Titanium itself would do the work. (I believe I could if I could get a list of Bloatware that can be removed with no problem)

Honestly, I'd stay away from something as invasive as Titanium backup these days. If you do use it use the freeze feature (Only paid version).
They way I did it, I simply went into App Manager and disable natively anything that I could. For system Apps that won't allow me to disable that I know I can safely disable without screwing things up (not very many anymore) I use Package Disabler Pro from the Play Store. You can safely enable and disable system Apps.
Best way to get rid of bloat is install the u firmware.

Don't bother uninstalling system app bloats, just freeze with titanium backup. if you screwed up and froze the wrong file you can always unfreeze. Uninstalling won't get you any extra storage since you can't install user apps in the system partition anyways.

Titanium backup is a nice way to go, but you need root.
I have seen Remove ALL Bloatware from any Android Smartphone without Root
ADB for Windows is a nice way to start.
You can google that as well.
I want to remove the bloat myself, but I am wait for 7 to drop then start cleaning house.

Well yes of course, the OP requested best remover for rooted S7E. If not rooted, the recommendation would have been for EZ Package Disabler or equivalent.
