[Q] Cyanogen 2.2 Issue.. - USB / Mass Storage

Hiya, 1st time poster, long time lurker  wondering for some advice. Upgraded to 2.2 using Cyanogens mod, brilliant. Phone charges on USB but doesn't appear to give me the option for USB
If I go into settings now, I have option to dismount for removal and formatting only. Theres no tab for Mass Storage. Had a quick search but haven't seen anyone with this issue, any ideas at all??
Thanks in advance for any help, hope I'm not missing something really obvious!
Cheers
Ric
I had the same problem once...
turn off USB debugging mode, then restart your phone and your PC. That worked for me. If it works after that, turn USB debugging back on.

usb drive not recognized - help please :(

Hi
I've been using my Galaxy S as usual but today the phone/computer wont recognize it's connected as mass storage or kies.
There is no option on the phone to mount as it did before , all that pops up on windows 7 is usb drive not recognized
I searched on google and tried various things such as :
-USB debugging on and off
-Removing battery
-Trying different cable
-Trying different computer
-Factory data reset
-Formatting internal SD card
-Switching Laptop on + off/restarting
-Uninstalling/reinstalling drivers + Kies
I use the standard launcher and havent changed anything up to the point when it was working.
Does anybody have any suggestions. Im pretty sure its still in warranty however i purchased new on ebay last year so im not sure how all this warranty stuff works.
Do you use an external sd card? If so try this: put it out, turn phone off and on and try once more to connect

Yeah i think your external sd is ether corrupt or broken. i bet if you leave it out completly the phone gets recognized as it should.
Save your external sd data on pc (if you havent already) wipe your external sd and see if it works
If not you unfortunately have to buy a new one, at best from a different brand.

sorry cant help much
Did you update your firmware recently? I updated from 2.2 to 2.3.3 and it has a few issues, including not being able to connect as mass storage yesterday (though I had no such issue for the past few weeks).

Firmware was updated to 2.3.3 in may but haven't had any such problem with it until now
After trawling google some post said that they switched on their bluetooth connection and then connected to mass storage and hey presto i did this and all seems to be working again. Seems very strange but for those of you who stumble across this thread.
Switch on your bluetooth and then connect the usb cable.
In my case it connected without issue.
Switched off the bluetooth and tried and it connected without issue...so it could possibly something to do with bluetooth who knows?
Appreciate everyones input thankyou
Hi!
I have the same problem. Windows can't recognize my phone, even in download mode.
I have tried the bluetooth on-off trick, without success. I have no micro-sd card in the phone. I tried on 3 pc, and in my Macbook Pro.
Can someone help me?
Thanks,
David
p.s.: Sorry about my english.
Have you tried with other USB cabel ???? I had problem with my USB and recognizing phone on pc, even with instaling drivers :-( (sorry for bad english)

Also been in this situation. Couple of things I learnt:
1. make sure you have a well charged battery
2. fiddle with the usb connection on the sgs: it gets loose and is not always good, press the cable up and see if the pc gives the usb connnect sound
3. uninstall the existing Samsung drivers and then re-boot, then re-connect the usb and let windows find its own drivers or install the latest Samsung drivers posted here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961956) -- but that guide also says, reboot the computer after installing the drivers prior to trying to connect the usb again. Its a windows thing: you must reboot after either install or uninstall the drivers.
Most probably it should be the USB cable, there is something wrong with your cable/port.
I had the exact same problem. I took my phone back to the dealer where the manager messed with it for half an hour. In the end he got it working by removing the sd card and power cycling the phone 3 times removing the battery each time. Presto, I haven't had the same problem since.

Sometimes a very careful tweak of the pins in the port can help, and it is not unknown for the soldering to be cracked, so both worth checking also a clean with a suitable cleaner can help

Is your cable a original one ??? or ??

[Q] cannot connect my hd2 to Mac/PC

Hi everyone, I am having a problem about connecting my hd2 to PC/Mac.
Every time, I plug in my hd2 into Mac, it could not recognize it as a usb driver.
When i plug into Windows, it will show as a card reader, but ask me to insert the sd.
I already choose usb debug, choose Disk drive as default connection type, and still dont work. Also, i read the others post with similar problem and they all suggest to format the sd by SDFormetter, but it didn't work on mine.
The only way for me to transfer data to my sd card is using the Clockworkmod recovery. Do you guys have any idea about that and help me out please.
my hd2 is tmous, and using energy rom. and please help me out

[Q] Internal storage Problem

Hi
I can't write anything from computer.
Phone itself working well. Internal storage itself working.
Using Liquid rom V1 ICS 4.0.4
thnks.
whats the actual problem?
internal storage
As a removal disk in computer i can't delete or write anything from the device.
Sounds like you're having trouble connecting USB storage mode to PC?
Usual culprit for this is reinstall Samsung drivers. They are notoriously inconsistent. Another thing to try is use a back USB port, ie one nearer mobo. If you're trying to connect via kies, there's a separate thread on that somewhere.
