I know at one time the "leaked" gingerbread had complete instructions on how and where to get the 2.3.3.340.SBC file and now I can't find it to save my life...I found a roll out of the "stock" gingerbread but have to sbf back to stock to run the update...,.please help me find the file in which I need...thanks In advance

...I had the original 2.3.340 from the first postings about the pitted sbf but now I'm trying to get my uncle back to stock to get the update as well...lol. I'm thinking they deleted all the gb leaked pages..can't find the original and I'm kinda Leary about others out there..lol..but thanks ill check it out

Did you do the downgrade after rooting? If you didn't get it, vzwsupport on twitter say to go to a store and have them push it to you. I'm in the same boat.

Yeah I unrooted to wait for official ota. I've done it before and it automatically pushed the May ota. This time it didn't. I've used a PB31IMG.zip from way back. I'll try to RUU that's on here to see if that does it. I just don't want to miss the ota because I'm missing this old one.

I am very new to using clockwork but I have installed the clockwork mod on my droid x and I installed a new theme. I decided that I hated the theme because it removed all of my apps, removed swype, and does so much less than the stock droid x. I tried installing another theme with clockwork but all the themes I tryed kept freezing on INSTALLING UPDATES. I just want to get my old droid x back. The way it was before clockwork. I didn't back up the stock version and I'm hearing from people that if I unroot my droid it will brick my phone since I don't have a backup. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!!

So maderstock, if you do a data/cache wipe first, will get you from any custom rom back to oem where you can accept ota updates again?
So I could use this to go from cm7 back to stock if I want to sell the phone?

I wouldn't recommend this method. Google SBFing and go that route.

So just use the 2.2.3.4 sbf to get back to froyo then download the ota and I'm good?

Ok, and that sbf will wipe out everything so I don't need to worry about compatibility? Much like an RUU for HTC devices?

hey i need help after trying to update a friends phone to 2.3.3 android
i stared with stock 2.2 then i rooted the phone next i installed droid 2 bootstrap i then down loaded the 3 parts for 2.3 update i ran number 1 then by rebooted the phone before running part2 and 3 please help here is the link to the steps i fallowed

i want to downgrade my droid x back to 2.1
i have the 30.04 bootloader
It's impossible to downgrade to 2.1. You can, however, downgrade to 2.2 if you're on 2.3.

No, it's impossible to go to 2.1 overall. It uses a different bootloader version.

You cannot go back to eclair. It just won't work.
Google droid x sbf linux cd and you should find the easiest method to get back to froyo.

I am running the first gb leak and it seems to be really glitchy now and I keep having the auto boots ,
Soo what I'm looking to know since I'm not looking for a new rom I wanna rdz or what-not back to stock gb and just root it for some apps and other persks can I use z4root by any Chance or what any detail or info would help

One way would be to sbf to froyo and then upgrade via ota. I don't know if there is a gingerbread sbf out there. Search the forum for how to sbf and google for the file.

The 602 file is rooted stock. On the tbh app or at mydroidworld or probably on here. Sbf to froyo,root,bootstrap, install 2 part 602. Stock rooted.
