There is a whole section titled ROM links, it shouldn't be that hard to work out :/
If you're generally referring to flashing a custom rom then have a good read at the Nexus One wiki, it'll help you understand a little more.

It might help if you read the posting fully. You need to download all three files.
1. RCmixHD 1.0
2. USB Fix
3. 1.0.1 Update
Install them in this order, reboot between each install. And make sure you fully wipe your device first.
What about for Version 1.1.. I think i can download that single file and flash the ROM..
hi,
i downloaded RCmixHD [2.3.3,SENSE 2.1,720p video,tb unlock] v1.1 ROM and flashed it after full wipe..

Disable signature verification(If you're using RA Recovery, you can see 'toggle signature...', and I think Clockwork also has such option) and try it again.
Hi,
Is it Safe to flash Unsigned ROM.. or i have to wait for Signature once full ROM is there..

Although it warns about unsigned ROM/updater, I think if it is from reliable developer, it's usually OK, though I feel developers should sign their .zip files after packing is done.
thanks.. i have flashed already

Hey guys,
so, a lot of my quetstions will be already posted, but i can´t find them all.
So i hope i annoy no one here ;-).
Ok, now to the important:
I have a SGS until 6 month. over the time i learnd a lot of android and i´m very lucky with them.
Then i heard from cyanogenmod. and all i read about it is great.
i have knowledges about root of linux an so of android.
So, during my research i have a lot of question before i flash my sgs:
- i found only one forum enty where i read i have to format all partitions.
So, how do i flash a sgs?
i have a modded boot rom with root and clockwork mod.
I tried a backup of the system.
the rom manager don´t show ne the cm7 mod for my device.
Do anyone know why? because the RC status?
When i get an error, how can i rollback my firmware with the backup?
Which pc software i need?
my plan ist to flash the sgs with the experimental version, no nightly build.
CWM makes al lot if IMG files. the cm7 zip has only one IMG.
So, i hope anyone can tell some or send my some nice links.
thanks a lot :-D

Use this
Boom, that's how it's done folks.

Hey,
thanks guys.
So, can anyone explain me how i can go back to the original rom if i got any probs or even i want?
So, i made a backup with Titanium Backup (premium user) and secondly with CWM.
So, i copied them to my PC.
CWM makes some IMG files. So, how can i rollback them to my device?
Also if i try to create a rom image with the rom manager the recovery manager makes a error.
:-D
So, i get by saving my rom the following error:
-- Installing package ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Why do the rom manager want to install a package by making an backup?
PS: i have the rooted bootloader: PDA_XXJVK_Sbl.tar installed.
to revert back to you need to revert to a stock rom. using odin and a full PDA froyo will do the job.
Hey,
so u mean, i have to download the offical rom and install them over odin.
then i have to root them and install CWM and reverse the backup.
is that right?

yes.. that will be the proper way to do it.
I'm having trouble flashing the stock rom vache has provided on the dev forum. (SD_Acer_A500_7.006.03_COM_GEN1.zip).
Downloaded fine, used the decrypt tool with key $12, Clear/wipe/format everything, and try to install with CWM.
Problem install aborts.
Can anyone help? I am assuming either the download is incorrect/incomplete, or the decrypt hasn't worked? Has anyone been successful with this rom?

Did you download an official acer rom from vaches thread
is it a full rom or just an incremental update - better check!
yes it could be a bad d/l - where did u get it
If it didnt decrypt you can check by trying to open it in windows. You wont be able to 'open' (not extract....) the zip if it is still decrypted
did u extract the actual "update.zip" and flash that?
make sure the you havent named it "update.zip.zip"
how did u try and install with cwm
if u use flash zip choice u dont have to rename it to update.zip
u do if u pick flash update.zip
What rom are u currently running??
Many thanks for the help, it was me being a noob and not extracting the update.zip file.
thanks again
Hi,
I downloaded and flashed successfully the OmniRom image on my phone this morning, but not the EAS Kernel (v2) provided by @darkobas few days ago. Everytime I try it (I download a couple of times, in case something wrong happen) I get the same error message on TWRP.
Could not find 'META-INFO/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file.
Error Installing zip file '/sdcard/ROMs/OmniRom/darkobas-zl1-easkernel-v2.zip'
Do I have to use a more recent TWRP? the one I'm using is 3.0.2-0
Or is it I'm missing something?
I searched on XDA, but I didn't see anyone reporting this.. so I suppose it's a really noob issue.
Thanks for the help!!
try downloading again

It worked like a charm now @darkobas! Thank you!
Working! Thanks @darkobas
if you have successfully flash the onim rom, change to "flash image" then flash the boot.img extracted from the eas kernel zip.
I have an HTC U Ultra that has been bricked. I'm able to boot the phone into download mode. This is the info I have on download mode:

I'm new to being able to reimage the phone with stock os. Can someone guide me to which files I need to install? I have the HTC sync manager, I have also tried numerous RUU files and I can't seem to find the correct file to install the stock OS. Please help!
Thanks

You should try only one - 2.21.617.1 or eventually newer but it would have to be for your model (US, SingleSIM my best guess).
Take the 2.21.617.1, save it properly named on the SD Card and boot into update.
And be more specific - what is the "brick" according to you?

I went ahead and tried the following file:
2PZFIMG_OCEAN_NOT[email protected][email protected]
I get the following

Checking for Digest file...
Skipping Digest check: no Digest file found

I don't know how to put it without offending you too much.
I said, you need a RUU of same or higher revision - you are showing me an older version.

It is not HTC file. Someone has been playing with it.

If you can get into TWRP you could simply install LeeDroid 2.1 that is for single and double SIM recovery installer and save all the hustle.

I was able to downgrade to 1.64.617.17, however when I now go to update OTA the phone says
Can't update software
There was an unexpected error and the file system may be corrupted. Please contract HTC support for further assistance.
How do I fix this?

First - explain, how have you managed to perform the downgrade?
Second - do you have TWRP? If yes - OTA won't work! It has to have the original HTC recovery to handle the upgrade package.
Flash TWRP, If you already have it. Just boot to recovery and flash new custom rom or if you want stock rom so you can downgrade to nougat and then update to Oreo.
Hello.
I'm trying to get my phone back to stock rom.
I'm using the TWRP from the [All In One] post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...overy-unofficial-twrp-touch-recovery-t3921637
And I'm trying to install the file I got from: http://en.miui.com/download-360.html
But when I flash the file (miui_LAVENDERGlobal_V10.3.5.0.PFGMIXM_a5cabeca22_ 9.0.zip) I get the error attached.
Can anyone help me with this error?
Download the zip file again from miui.com, if you’re using a custom rom go to ‘Wipe’ -> ‘Advanced Wipe’ and wipe the ‘Cache’, ‘Dalvik/ART Cache’, ‘Data’ and ‘System’ partitions.
Once you are done, go back and tap on the ‘Install’ button and browse the rom file.
If this doesn't work, try the fastboot method with the miui flash tool.
delete compatibility.zip in rom file and flash normally
Thanks for the replies. I already formatted and wiped, and tried redownloading the stock rom file, but got the same error. I also tried the MIUI flash tool but got an error after doing the last step.
However... I did end up fixing the problem moments ago.
As I was leaving work, a nerd directed to a wepage that had instructions that worked:
https://www.androidexplained.com/redmi-note-7-unbrick
16. May 2020: the tip: unzipping - deleting - zipping and flash that new file worked for me also. Redmi Note 7 Lavender; Rom Lineage 17.1 20200215. Very nice. Ernest from Germany
