I hereby declare i will give 30$ to the person who permanently fixes the sim-card issues after flashing the play.
Anybody else want in ?
It costs 50 USD to unlock, so if u first f*** your play, this is cheaper!

Today we was informed of our prices for the XDA 11, And from this we can sell them for £475 + VAT (and carrage if needed) they will sim free ( you do not need to sign a air time contract ) But the phones are genuine o2 phones so they will be locked to o2, I have read messages from people on here getting them unlocked for £15. If this is the case i will of corse get them unlocked and sell them proper sim free for use for any sim.
Thanks John
propper sim free = NEVER EVER BEEN LOCKED SINCE RELEASED FROM FACTORY also never had a sim or contract with them
where bouts you from mate and have you got physical stock?
gaz
yes these are sim free as in no sim card is included, no need to sign a air time agreement, but they locked to o2 so they will only work the o2 sim
we are near Maidstone in Kent
we are are small independed phone shop, we have been told its a 3 day item, but i ordered one today for Saterday/Monday delevery, and as soon as it sells we will order another, we have to pay for our stock when we order and i dont like to tie up loads of money in just one product
as to the unlocking i am going to try and get mine unlocked tomorow, As i would rather sell them Proper Sim Free then i can ship them anywhere in the world and know people will be happy with them
So you want money up front?
no not at all.
i will only sell what i have in stock like any normal shop, payment could be in cash or crdit card if you collect it, or credit card if you wish to do it as mail order.
As i said earlier we are only a small shop we are not looking to hold probley more than 1 or 2 depending on how it goes in stock, BT would rather we sell them with airtime , but as we are paying for them sim free the choice is up to us what we do with them.
We are not looking to sell hundreds and hundreds of them sim free, but i have seen a few people on here asking for them without having to sign air tim contracts, .... And i use the forum for info and its just my way of hopefully helping a few people in need of one to get one , and a little ( and i mean little) bit of profit for us
John
Further to my previous post i would rather people emailed me with ther phone number and as soon as i have stock i will contact them ( in the same order as i recieve the emails asking for them) and sell that way as i fully understand that prople would not like to pay someone that kind of money up front to someone they dont know.
Thanks
John
I will be intrested but only simlock free since I live and use it in the Netherlands. Let me know if you get the simlock removed, I cannot do it from here.
Does anyone know if I can use a canadian credit card to order devices from the US google play store?!?!?
I know the play store says it doesn't work, but I've ordered tons of US stuff with my canadian credit card before...
Has anyone done this with the playstore before?
I was hoping that my brother (who works in the states) can order the nexus 4 and 7 for me and pay with my credit card. I can just hop across the border and pick it up that way.
BUT on google's website, it says:
"google play At this time, the country of your credit card must match the the country to which you're shipping."
http://support.google.com/googleplay...answer=2462844
I'm wondering if anyone has had first hand experiences with this.
thanks
You can buy from them no problem. I had ordered a N7 from the google play store previously no problem but then I cancelled it (since I was able to get it in store and save on shipping). But it sounds like you were able to purchase it properly it is just that you had an issue of just where you were wanting to send it too. I dont remember right now but is there not an option that you can select to send to a different address than your billing address?
can anyone who actually bought something with a Canadian credit card off US play store confirm?
Hello there!
TL;DR: Should I buy a SIM locked Moto X Play?
In the first place, I'm not an expert at all. I used to install alternative ROMs (CyanogenMod until today) but that's it. So thanks to this great community of experts to share their tips.
I opening a new thread today because I'm going to buy a Moto X Play (I don't know yet the exact model) on Craigslist very soon (in a couple of hours actually). The phone is lock on the Bell network (Canada) according the seller. I plan to root it, to change the recovery software and install an alternative ROM. Do I need some extra steps to unlock the SIM? Is there an easily/cheap way to doing that? Maybe is there a nerdy trick?
If someone could share how s/he's unlock the SIM of his/her phone that will be very helpful.
Have a good day!
Hey all I'm new at all this and I'm trying to unlock or root my T-Mobile LG V20. I've never done any of this stuff, but I want to be able to use this phone on a network other than T-Mobile. Can anyone give this rookie ( me) some help?
T-Mobile won't unlock it for me. The day there is a balance owed on it. And when I tried the unlock app. It say failure in processing the request. Please reboot and try again.. If you can walk me through this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
It's a h91810t
Please help if you can. If you need to look at my phone via computer I'm willing to do whatever needs to be done.
Does no one know how to help me? I just want to be able to either fix it So I can get it unlocked or root it if possible so I can get it to work outside my house. Please help!
Network unlock is different from root or system unlock. You'll need to work with T-Mobile to network unlock to use the phone on another network. There may be other resources on the internet, but I don't know if they work.
T-Mobile will not unlock it for me. There is a balance due from the previous owner and they refuse to help. I've ask some of these 3 party people and either they don't do the phones with the device unlock app. or they say they can't unlock it because the message I get when I click permanent unlock which is failure in processing the request. Please reboot and try again. And I did a little research on that and people were being told to check they're memory on the device. That it may be using too much memory or too many app's. Not sure which one. But I did a factory reset as well as looked to see how much ram was being used, before and after. And it's only using 1.7 gigs of the 4 gigs of ram it has. And 19.62 gigs of storage of the 94 gigs it can take. So I don't know what I can do to get rid of the message and get the right one. I thought that maybe someone has figured a way to fix it or get around it. Thanks for the response though. Can you maybe point me in the right direction? See I'm on permanent disability and don't get much from social security and I can't afford to pay the people that want over $40 to unlock it and I've asked some of the higher priced ones but was afraid to ask the people who want over $100. I can't afford it. My small check pays for me and my wife to survive in this dump of a state CA ( thanks to Jerry Brown ). Anyways if someone can help it would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Honestly you should try to return it and get your money back from the previous owner if they won't immediately pay it off so it can be network unlocked. If the old owner stops paying T-Mobile for it and since he no longer has the phone T-Mobile could flat out blacklist it as basically a stolen phone from ever working on any network.
Also the unlock app checks with T-Mobile if it's paid off and otherwise in good condition to be unlocked as well.
I bought it from a pawnshop and all sales are final. They won't take it back and they won't give me any information on the previous owner. So I don't know what to do. Oh well I guess I waisted $150.00 on a piece of junk I can't use. Thanks!
"Oh well I guess I waisted $150.00"
Yes you did. If there is money owed on the phone, then the IMEI is blacklisted, and unless you were planning on using it outside of the USA, then that blacklist is shared with all the major carriers.
$150 is a good deal even now as long as the phone is in good condition. Why don't you pay off the balance? It won't be as good a deal, but a mint condition H918 is still going for between $350 and $400 bucks.
Anytime you buy a phone used that has no return policy, always check the IMEI.
Oh, lastly, yes you can root it, and then you can SIM unlock it -- but again, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile (obviously), nor any of their MVNOs will activate it while it is blacklisted.

There's a unlocked method but it requires root
As far as I know, the only way to network unlock it is with the tmo app. And it doesn't work on a rooted phone. I tried.
Did the pawn shop sell as unlocked?
If the pawn shop says all sales final, then I'd assume it's final. I wouldn't expect one to make any exceptions at all.
What is the physical condition of the phone? If it's in excellent condition, I would just settle for getting most of your money back by reselling it on eBay for $125-150. Many recent completed auctions for a bad IMEI H918 in good shape have gone for $130-140.
Can anyone please help me carrier unlock my device? Bought it a few days ago off of ebay. The listing said it was unlocked but it wasnt and ebay ended up siding with the seller so I cannot email/message him to have him call speint and unlock the device. Thwy said it is eligable but I dont have the account holders name or account number so I can't go that route. Is there anyone who can help me? It is locked to Sprint and I am wanting to use it with Boost Mobile. It is not rooted yet but will be if I can figure out how to unlock this device ao I can use it with Boost.

youre going to have to pay for one. I just got one for my S9 for $29. Ive seen sites offering unlocks for anywhere between $7 up to $50, but youll need to buy one. Of course, there is the off chance that someone will figure it out and have it on offer here, but you might as well wait for it to rain anvils. Sure theres a chance, but its a VVVEEEEERRRRRYYYYYYY small chance. Just pay the approximate $30 and be done with it
