Hi guys,
Just upgraded to KE2 and when I reboot, com.android.phone gives a force close error
anyone else experiencing this?
Update: The issues seems to be limited to users on the Orange network. Please reply if this is not the case for any other users.

kies as well. it crashed, then I lost network for a minute and then it reloads and works fine

Well if the problem persists, you may try flashing again, using Odin this time...

Lesson 1 : Never use KIES
Lesson 2 : Always use ODIN.

Well, I used Odin to update and also get the force close every time I reboot my SGS2.

Looks like a dodgy firmware update!

I'll redownload the odin tar for this firmware and try again... Will let you know once done if I still get the issue of force close or not.

Still the same... =[ hmm i may go lookin for wke1

hey trick thanks, but also if i update it will it relock it to bell? im currently using it with fido
Probably not a bad idea to hard reset before and after as this is a major version jump (if you're coming from 2.1 Eclair).
Will give this a go in a bit.

Are you in Download mode? If so close Odin, remove and reinsert the USB cable, and re-open Odin and try again.
Does 3 button download/recovery still work as well?
If it does is it 2e or 3e recovery?

Did you tried an hard-reset or factory wipe ? this should fix things but you will loose settings, apps and other data.
how to root SGS after upgrade?? nw I hv 3e recovery instead of 2e recovery , Can someone post a tutorial or steps how to root and also which is the best lag fix for 2.2 need one asap as the phones lags too much almost unusable!!
How is the browser with flash set to on demand?
Does it lag like xwjp6?
I thought they would base it off xwJPA.
xwJP6 is very unstable...
@gkg, you can search for recovery 2e in the development section and get it done from there.

Camera GT-I9505 don't work!

Hi, the problem is that I can not use the camera of S4. The first day was fine but suddenly stopped working. When I open the app the screen stays black with buttons and options of the camera and when I press responds to 10 sec.
Occasionally the camera is perfect, so it must be a problem with Software ... I have restored the Stock Roms from Kies, Odin, etc.. donot what else to do ...
Any suggestions? regards
*#34971539# and try reflashing camera firmware, it's the first option i think, if that doesn't work then it's a problem with your camera module.

The bootloader thing sucks... Don't think I will be updating. They shouldn't force Knox on all consumers. Previously, I've seen it marketed towards corporate users for tighter security, but on ordinary consumers? It just doesn't make sense.

[Q] Galaxy S4 can't send/receive calls and SMSs

Hello guys!
In the past, I faced some similar problems with my Galaxy S3 because I was a mad ROMs tester, so one time the baseband messed up with me and I lost all the network abilities, but I managed to deal with that..
Today it's my dad's issue, he likes to keep everything on stock, but rooted...
So he updated his I9505 to the latest Lollipop version, then he rooted it..
Today he told me that he can't make or receive ANY calls or SMSs, but the mobile data is still working as it should.
He can't remember if the problem started before or after updating.. So I tried the following:
• Did a factory reset.
• flashed a clean 4 files firmware through ODIN.
• took the SIM away and tested it on another devices, it works fine.
• Downgraded to KitKat and flashed the proper modem and bootloader.
Nothing helped [emoji17][emoji17]
So I wish that you guys, can do your best to help me..
P.S. The IMEI serial number is fine ( no null/null or imilar errors ).

I'm totally shocked now!! I tried a SIM card from another carrier ( which I never tested before ) and it works perfectly!! So now I'll try the main SIM card, maybe I can fet some luck..
So that means no hardware issues?

It could simply be SIM card issues, yes. Definitely not hardware if it works with another SIM.

I tried two other SIM cards from two different carriers, no hope
Seems like this guy got locked on that only carrier that worked with me, don't know why, it was working perfectly few days ago!
