So far from additional language support on it (Chinese font now readable and i have customize it to Thai font finally). Will there a any chance to add additional keyboard layout to Webtop OS?
+1 !
Will be very helpful.
Maybe add the ability to use any keyboard app from the phone, such as perfect keyboard etc ..
As I am wanting this here in Japan, I too would like to see if an add'l IME can be done on the webtop.
What about Japanese font support BTW? Does the webtop have it?

I'm fairly new to the android circle so please forgive me if I'm missing something obvious.
My phone did not come with the Japanese locale and i want to install it. I have seen many language packs on the market but nothing for Japanese. Not even sure if it's the same thing. I am quite sure a Japanese Locale is available as it is in the 2.1 SDK. How would i go about getting it on my phone?
Thanks
What you need exactly? If you need the keyboard input, search for OpenWnn plus, it provides you the ability to input Japanese text. If you need the locale language, I think it is the ROM providing that (I also not very sure).
need japanese ui?
so, please install morelocale2 on the market

I recommand you Simeji if you need a Japanese imput software, it's quite easy to use, and provides different keyboad layers...
if you need japanese UI, i can't help you but i'm pretty sure you can find some japanese rom on the web.
For the ui I would recommend MoreLocale2 from the market like zafy said. My parents use it for Chinese and it's great. I have also taken the time to look through the Japanese locale just to make sure it's all good as some users on the market are saying that theres some English bits left over. I can confirm that it works great on Official Froyo HTC Sense ROM 1.0c. The sense ui is also translated.
Hope that helps
HI! My Aria only has English, French, and Spanish. I want to be able to type in Russian as well. A guy here at work has an HTC with Verizon, and he has lots of language choices. How do you add languages to the Aria?? I tried a third party app but it didn't work. I would like Russian. Thanks!
You need an "input method" that supports keyboard layout switching. The stock Sense keyboard that comes with Aria doesn't allow for that.
But there is a whole bunch of multi-lingual keyboard apps in the market; some a free, and some are not. I like Smartk Keyboard Pro. It costs 2 EUR, but it's the best out there. It After installing it you'll need to download Russian keyboard layout for it, which is free.
Try to search "MoreLocale" in market.

ps. sorry i think all know what is htc ime mod ;o
to be honest the stock keyboard isnt bad. could use arrow keys though.
Multilingual on the market. Make sure to get your correct language plugin.
Hackers keyboard is what I use, its very capable, and has arrow keys..
SmartKeyboardPro allows you to recreate exactly the same experience as HTC IME (even the look of it) and it even adds some nice features.

Hi, I am very happy with my Better Keyboard. It's got a lot of functions, settings and skins to download. I tried a lot of keyboards and this one I think is the best.
For word prediction you need a language pack. First we could download it from the market via the settings in Better Keyboard. Only that isn't possible anymore. All the language packs disapeared from the market.
Can anyone provide me with the dutch language pack? Or does anyone know why they disapeared from the market?
Thanks

Hi,
How do I add Greek as an input language to my Android keyboard in ICS333? It is not included in the list of available languages when I go into the settings.
The only other thread I could find suggested looking for "Greek IME" on Google Play but the only thing that comes up with is a third-party app designed for Android 1.5(!).
Thanks
Michael
try the Hackers keyboard.Thank me later Πατριδα
Thanks! I've given it a go and it seems like a viable workaround.
That being said, I have grown rather fond of my ICS Android keyboard, and would love to just add Greek to the list of languages it can handle. Is that possible?
