Don't know if this has been posted but a USB 3 extension can let you charge your tf from afar.

Phone laggy when connected via charger

Hey guys. Anyone still noticing lag when plugged in on their phone? I'm on GB btw. I'm using my old BBC charger (the charger for the ATRIX is so short). Is this the case? Thanks!

+1 on this. Doesn't matter which charger I would use. 1st party or 3rd party.

It charges off any micro Usb phone charger. It's another reason I love this tablet.

You can, but it will be painfully slow. Slow to the point that if you happen to be using it while plugged in, it will likely be discharging.

That sucks. Thanks for the answer.

Slimport and connectivity.

Hey guys, I do not own a Nexus 4 (yet), but before I buy I would like to throw out a scenario and see how realistic it is. I have researched the Slimport adapter and was wondering, could I connect a Nexus 4 to an HD TV (via Slimport adapter), connect a USB hub to the microUSB port on the adapter (via OTG cable), and connect USB sticks or controllers for games from the USB hub, and charge the phone wirelessly from the charging hub? Thanks in advance for everyone's insight.

I'm sorry guys, I know I ask much of your knowledge.

Well, did more research, looks like Nexus 4 doesn't have the 5v out that would be required to support USB.host its a hardware issue.

[Q] Phone won't charge

I found a great deal on a Nexus 4 on Craigslist. The seller says the phone does not charge at all but turns on when its plugged in. I would like to get a second N4 for the wife, especially for this nice of a deal and if it would be an easy fix. Just looking on some feedback as to what everyone thinks the problem could be and what else I could ask the seller before I make any kind of deal.

If I were you I would stay away from it. I would definitely get a new one from the Play Store.
Ask him how did happen? Was the phone's components exposed to water?

He says he thinks it could be the USB port, but I dunno. He says he can transfer files back and fourth using it on the computer, and screen comes on when plugged in, it just won't charge up.

I had similar issue. Phone discover the USB but fail with charge. I tried other USB cable (Nokia one) and it works perfect.

so the USB port works when he wants to connect it to the computer, but it won't work when he plugs it into the wall and tries to charge it?

Correct. USB works for file transfer only. It will not charge using wall charger or computer.
