on 351, and Camera Flash not working
I have 351 on my Streak, and when taking pictures, the flash won't turn on, even though I have it set to be on. I know the flash is working, since I have Flashlight and the lights work when I use it. Anyone has this issue?
UPDATE:
I pulled out the battery and rebooted, and now my flash is working again, even though I had rebooted before. Weird.

I have had this problem for nearly a year now.
I have sent the phone for repair and my camera unit works in another device but a new one will not work in mine.
Weird!
I have also tried every rom out there and still no LED flash.
Not on camera, video, flashlight apps, dell streak light app.
Nothing!
Does anyone out there in the world have a solution???

I changed the group led but still does not work. I do not know what to do

My flash worked fine until I did a recent factory reset to clear another problem. Now the flash only works when shooting a video clip, but cant access the "on" option when in picture mode.

Camera Flash Fix
Had the same problem with not being able to turn the camera flash to "on". Found this to work:
Settings
applications
manage applications
all
Scroll to CameraEM
Clear data
return to prior screen
Scroll to Camera
Clear data
Return to home screen
You should now be able to turn the flash "on". Hope this works for you

well it didnt work either.. need help

Hi there.
My flash LEDs stopped working too. In every application: cameras, torches, barcode scanners etc.
Every time a LED is in use i can see a very faint, almost invisible flash. Doesn't matter if it supposed to be a flash or continuous light there is always that tiny flash only.
It happened back in a days when I was on 403 Olleh Gingerbred 2.3.3. I thought that changing ROM will help but even now on Cyanogen mod Longhorn 2.9.3 Android 2.3.7 my flash still doesn't work.
May that be a hardware issue?

[Q] G1 Slider Sensor doesn't work.

Hi! I bought my G1 last month, It was original branded G1. I've rooted it, changed radio, spl, rom to laszlo 5.2. Everything works correctly - without keyboard opening sensor.
I'm not sure if sensor worked before flash.
Of course if sensor doesn't work, screen is rotating by gsensor, and keyboard backlight doesn't turn on, even I press any key. And this is the biggest problem.
I changed Radio, reflashed SPL, reflashed Rom, and changed kernel. It still doesn't work.
Some days ago sensor worked for 3-4 hours, then stop again. it was before i reflashed and changed kernel.
Is there any possibilities to check, if that sensor is working?
I've already wrote some easy script that turning on keyboard backlight all the time, but it blink, when phone is in sleep mode. So it isn't solution of the problem.
If U have any advice, how to check it, it will be great.

[Q] Camera Flash / LED Not Working

Hello!
Last night as I was toggling on TeslaLED to shine some light with the flash for the camera, the light turned on for about a half second and then turned off...at the time I just assumed that TeslaLED had crashed or something and didn't think anything of it...however, now in testing the flash for the camera as well as TeslaLED and the Torch app that is built into my ROM I am finding that nothing is able to make the light come back on...
So far I've tried:
1) rebooting the phone
2) using the camera app, TeslaLED, and Torch to make the light turn on
3) rebooting the phone and clearing all app cached data (which has apparently been a fix for others: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-razr-support/218009-camera-flash-not-right.html)
Anyone else have any suggestions? I am not knowledgeable about LEDs or anything but I'm wondering if it "burnt out" (if that's even possible)?
I'm no stranger to replacing hardware--I've already replaced the motherboard in this phone once, and I see that replacement LED/flash things on eBay are pretty cheap...but opening up the phone is such a pain! I'd like to exhaust all other options first.
Thanks!

Few questions about regular using

1. I've notice that sometimes when I put off the charger from device and 'playing' with it the screen time not counting! only after I turn off and on screen its start counting the screen time.... also if I reboot/turn off-on device, if I won't turn off and then on the screen it won't count the time the screen is on.
Its not happens all the time, but most of the time it is... Why is it happens?
2. Today I had it for the first time (hope the last time also) - I downloaded a game via Play and at home screen I tried to pull down the notification bar/status bar and it wasn't respond.
I tried to change to horizontal mode and it didn't work also, I've checked that touching responds in these areas and seems works properly.
I tried force close launcher still didn't work - the area on this status is changed - the time is update well, also the notifications seems not stucking, only can't swipe it down (one nor two fingers).
The only way I've found to fix it is reboot the device, then it back work fine.
Anyone have any idea why is it happens?
3. On camera (stock app), taking few pictures in sequence with flash on (notice that when I took pictures on low light/dark place while photo taken with flash) rebooting the device. Seems like there is a bug with the flash module. maybe with stock camera app - but when you take few pictures (lets say 10 pictures sometime more, nothing costant) with flash the device freeze and reboot itself.... Why is that?
I'm using stock 4.2.2, no root or bl opened..
Anyone notice one (or some) of these issues? And/Or anyone have any idea why these (or some of these) happens?
Thanks.

Looks like a hardware issue. My friend's Xperia neo used to reboot on using flash. they replaced the phone then.

Maybe, but Im not the only who facing this issue... (about the flash)
I guess you don't have nexus 4 so you can't check it...
Anyone else notice any of the issues that I've mention and/or have any idea why is that happens?
Some people have the flash issue with 4.4 too.. seems like google didn't fix it.
Anyone else face one/some of these issues and has opinions on possible solutions?

Help, Rear camera flash is on.

My rear camera flash is lit up. When I power it off, the flash is still lit. I have tried clearing my cache, a full factory reset, and even tried taking a picture to try and turn it off. It is still on. I'm currently running the battery til its dead, at 65% now, and do a full recharge to see it if fixes it. I'm running on a fully stock Rom with no updates to install. Any ideas are more than welcome. Thanks.
Looks like nobody replied to this. Given the few days that have past, you may have already resolved this issue, but I'll have a go at it anyways. My first thought is that since the light stays on even when the device is off, it could very well be a hardware defect. My second thought is that you should open up the flashlight app (or download one from the play store if it didn't come with a rom) and attempt to toggle the LED via the app.

Ascend G7 Camera Issue

Hello all,
I've had this problem for the last few days and can't seem to resolve it. My phone has been extremely slow lately and apps are taking a long time to load up. However, when I needed the camera to snap a picture, I must wait about 20 seconds and the following message appears:
"Camera Error: Unable to start Camera. Check if any 3rd-party apps are using camera resources (such as Torch). Close them and try again."
I have since checked the Torch app and see that the light is on, but no visible light is emitted from the flash sensor. I turned off the Torch and the camera still displays the same message. Going back into Torch, I discover it is still on and I am unable to permanently turn it off. I also don't see any other apps that may be using the camera, so I'm really confused.
If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated
The only thing I can suggest you do, is to make a backup, then do a factory reset. As soon as the phone boots up, then check the camera to see if the issue persists. If it does, it is most likely a hardware issue, and the phone will need to be repaired.
If not, then there's a rogue app that is preventing the camera from starting up, so you'll need to install all your apps individually, to see which one is the problem. Good luck!
