There was a leak of a bunch of beta apps back in April
Registered, and 10 minutes later I got a market update for Music with the Music Beta name. Installing now!
This is indeed the new player - but it won't do streaming till your account is provisioned.

Don't think you need to register, i just got the update and don't ever recall registering? Woot!!
The music.apk update doesn't give you music beta. You have to go to music.google.com and sign up for the beta.
Has anyone received an invite email yet?
The problem with this whole Google Music thing is that I can't buy music from Google and have it automatically go to the cloud... That's why I love Amazon MP3 and that's why I will continue to use it.
I can see i can update the music player from marked and get the music beta cloud, mine will not install this update it says the item dosnt exist, can someone please uploade this apk?

Got the updated app... still waiting for the official invite. I'd imagine most Xoom owners will get in pretty quickly.
You won't see any differences until you get an official invite from google. The app doesn't change anything other than giving you the ability to use it when its available.

I just received the invitation email... but it still doesnt work. It says that I have already requested a invitation.
I just received an invitation as well, so I accepted it and can now browse the Music beta site. Of course, it won't really do me much good until I get the software update as well, as browsing the site on my 3.0.1 Xoom is laggy. Go figure.

I was one of the lucky bunch who got in on the Amazon deal at launch. I paid for overnight shipping, so I was excited to home to play with it.
I plugged in the AC plug to charge it, but it turned on with some Android message. I left it and it eventually turned on. I heard about the firmware update so I checked Status and the Android version was 2.2! Also it mentions "phone" in a lot of popups (e.g. when I am shutting down it asks "Are you sure you want to turn off your phone?").
It also does not charge while plugged in. How do I get to recovery mode to reinstall Honeycomb?

yeah, i had to make my first and only post since I made this account 7 months ago to tell you that I need to see pics before I belive it.
Same question, in all seriousness - although it's possible that you have some pre-release firmware that was added by mistake, can you confirm that this is actually a TF101? The model number is on the back, right at the bottom.
If it really is a TF101, then I would call their CS department and ask them. And go right to an L2 because the L1 techs are pretty useless.

Look at the build version, "daily-userdebug -test-keys".
Maybe it is some test version that they use at the factory, and this one didn't get reflashed to honeycomb. Could have some interesting stuff on it.

NOT awesome! I'm thinking of returning it to Amazon, but it's no where in stock so I probably won't get a replace anytime soon.
I emailed ASUS and will call them tomorrow.
Just download and install like a regular apk, it seems to be working fine for me on CM7 latest nightly...

Where is UPDATE?
When I opened the "new" market this a.m. I saw there is an update for Twicca. But when I clicked on Twicca in "My Apps" the only options available were "Open" or "Uninstall."
Is this a problem with the new Market? I was able to sync the update via Appbran and Fast Web Installer but I want to make sure I have a working market.

I had the same issue with the new market. It is pretty busy looking anyway. I just went back to the old one.
the new one definatly takes some getting used to but i think its pretty neat overall
still like the market redo chingy did to one of his roms better
Some apps needing updates are not showing up in updates. I also user app brain so that's how I know.
I cleared market data via titanium but it didn't do anything

and it is SLOW, still slow, whereas the old market was not quick, the new (all 3versions of the new one) are SLOW at least on my Legend

The pop up on your screen told you why you cant download the movie. Your location says hong kong, for some reason google must have some kind of restriction on which countries can download certain content.

My Nexus7 is imported from US. I used US VPN and already received Google Play $25 credits. So for movie is different? I thought this is the same bonus for US Nexus7.

The only thing I can think of is that google can still tell what country you are downloading the movie from.
Or he chose Hong Kong during setup... and needs to change his location that way. Also, you might want to disable GPS too

I didn't turn on any GPS when i turned on the US VPN. Or maybe my VPN failed? Any other better VPN can share? Or I need to reset factory again? @@

Trying to update my one star review of the Facebook app to 2 stars, and every time it says "can't add review". Also it shows me as a "google user" instead of my Google plus name, seems apps I used before and wrote a review for have this issue. Anyone know how to fix it?

I don't know if it is related, but I tried writing my first review yesterday (it was from my phone), and a message came up requiring me to set up Google+ in order to write it. I have enough apps spying on me to add another one just to write a review......so I said the hell with it.
Yeah It's stupid it requires a membership to a social network to write reviews

Apparently I too have the same issue.
I see that only with the Facebook app we have this issue. With other apps its okay, I can update my own review.
So what did I do?
I logged into Google play from my PC and after signing in, I was able to delete my old review there. I added my new review back again from mobile.

Lol facebook is bitter, been making such a crap app for long the developers can't take the one star reviews anymore. Yeah I figured that out planned to update my findings in here but forgot. Thanks for sharing though

I think I figured out the issue! Beta testing. I'm a beta tester for Facebook, action launcher, and sliding messenger pro. None of the above can I write a review for, at least not from my device, I can from a pc. Guess it makes sense, Google doesn't want people complaining about beta features on reviews

I got it. My 1st tap counted. Unfortunately my next 2 didn't. Google is taking a look at it.

Cashiers have no idea about Android Pay. It works basically everywhere for me. It uses the same system as PayPass and so forth. Just look for this logo:

I really think it's random. I already own a Chromecast and I used the Best Buy gift card as well, and I'm eligible for a Chromecast.
Google fixed my issue, whatever it was. Woke up this morning and saw where yesterday's transactions counted.
