Which apps do you hope will arrive for Honeycomb soon?
Right now, I'd like the SiriusXM app to work.
That and Skype video chat.
Google Voice would be nice.... you would think it would be on the google agenda

I like to have some German newspapers.
Sometimes it helps to write an email to the developer.

Yeah, it seems obvious that I'd know that but I didn't even think about doing that! Thanks for the tip.
But of course the app itself is beautiful and would look stunning when optimized for tablets.
AM i asking for to much by wanting to use my tablet as a phone from time to time lmao
A app like clipnabber.com to pull videos from the web are video download helper plugin for one of the browsers in the market

Definitely HBO GO
I would love love LOVE to have a Honeycomb optimized CNET app.
I just want Tiger Arcade to be updated to scale correctly on Honeycomb. I am a simple person with simple needs.....
Sirius/XM
Netflix
Hulu
HBO Go (If I can talk my brother-in-law to let me use his account, since he can't use it)

About live streaming. I read that yamgo is going to offer it. Is this a UK only service? I can not watch live channels via yamgo in Slovenia.

I'm hearing that TVCatchup.com will be providing an Android version of their web service before the WC starts. Will be a good addition.

After reviewing and downloading around 7 apps, I think 2010 World Cup is the best available. http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.luke.worldcup2010
i am using goal.com's app, and very nice it is too, updates very quickly and the photos are brilliant too.

I've got the perfect solution: go to www.proxy.org
enter the url: http://m.tvcatchup.com
select a proxy from a GB website: like action-acces.org(GB, Glype)
For watching do the same use a proxy
edit:
It worked twice watching so its not a quite stable solution
official app is up on the market for select phones
N1 is one of them

How about a Titanium Backup of the APK for us non Nexus owners? Pretty please?
Sure wish I was seeing it in the Market with my N1. (Especially since I have a Google Apps account that they haven't migrated yet, so I can't use the web-based Market to install)
EDIT: Never mind. A search for "Netflix" brought up about 60 apps, of which the true Netflix app was about 60% of the way down the list. You'd think an app with the search term in both the app name and the developer name might rise to the top!

Wow, it looks great on my N1!
Will try it, hope it works well on nexus one!
Works great but it froze my phone when I exit the app.
Running the latest vanilla MIUI 1.5.6 and runs great!

downloaded/installed i can view and browse, it just kicks me off when i try to watch over wifi or 3g. on a gingerbread sense rom.
I have a netflix account. I'm gonna give it a try.
Successfully installed and logged in. But when I clicked on the videos it says I'm not allowed to stream.
Works fine for me over 3G. Running CM7 Nightly #71
Just noticed,
The new updated Facebook app (V 1.6) is no longer compatible with the Xoom. I.e. if you don't have FB or if you've uninstallrd it, ouch!

I think they are trying to push tablets back to the unified touch website interface. The only thing that sucks with that is you can 'send to facebook' and sync contacts.
Know of any other apps that handle just that?
Friend me is a great tablet optimized facebook client. But it is still in the earlier stages of development.

Rumor has it that Facebook will release an app for tablets.
again?
they broke FB for tablets before- you'd think they'd learned not to break stuff now...
Friendme is far superior
Friend me has no functional use without ability to go to each friends stuff or find things the way you do on the web. It needs way more work.

Install it on any other device then move it via astro backup or something. I did that and it works fine.
I use Friendcaster... not the tab optimized version though because it lacks a lot of functionality. Does look pretty however.
I just installed the 1.6 update on the Xoom and it force closes when you try to search. It's defiantly not made for the Xoom. Here is the APK if anybody wants to try it.

I suspect this has to do with the fact that good Android devs are hard to find; good Android devs with Honeycomb experience are nearly impossible to find.

I hope that rumor is true. Keep us updated if you hear any more details.

Eh... I have it on my phone too but am perfectly fine with the market on the Xoom. Its geared towards tablets, thats fine by me.
The Honeycomb market app kinda feels like unfinished business tho. I wonder why after all these months we still can't rate or comment to apps. For tablet-only apps it means feedback ends up limited to people installig through web-based push-to-device, or taking the time to log back through a web browser to comment and rate.
Some people did manually install that new market app on their tablet, but the UI is clearly not optimized for it.
Anyone try to install the market apk on the xoom?

Go into manage apps and then market and uninstall updates
found this post on captivate general forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169233
you can download the new market app if your tab has not updated to the new version yet. make sure to click 'thanks' button for the original contributor.
this update def. makes tab looks more tab-like if you know what i mean. i have been browsing book catalog for awhile and found a handful of good books.
i'd say the merge of google books and video rental service def. makes tab a stand-alone device. with samsung allshare running, im really happy with what i have right now
P.S <<search patterns>> by peter morville is a good book i just found on the market
cheers
