I don't think that the module is installed, and this module actually is not multi touch it is pinch to zoom (fake dualtouch), if you wan't this module you must install it by yourself, and pls read the thread about racht's ROM and post there your question or PM othere people from this thred!
enjoy!

Don't bull**** him, racht's floyo has both gesture and mddi module started from ramdisk. And yes, it's for pinch2zoom purpose only.

it's x8 gesture pinch to zoom v6 by doixanh..

Best ROM for X8 is here:
Download the 2.2.1 version from here. If download link doesn't work, look at 95 for a mirror.
The best ROM (IMO) is v0.11 HACKDROID by Ratch.
I'm willing to bet the MiniCM ROM for the X8 is good as well, but I haven't tested it yet.
Edit: I take that back. Apparently the MiniCM ROM suffers from random reboots.
Edit2: The MiniCM is very good. The battery lasts much longer than Racht's ROM.
i have installed 2.2.1 CM HACKDROID v0.12 (no prelinks) and works perfekt ...

Yeah! really excited for that
Until now the best rom I've tried, and the one I also have right now is miniCM port to X8 rom... can't wait for jerpelea to finish porting cm7 to X8, it will be awsome!
My favourite rom: Racht's 2.2.1 HACKDROID v0.12.
Im using the MiniCM Alpha3.1 and it is really good.

i get the sd card unmounted automatically and then the phone shutts off...
i tried cm7-x8 and its very good but u cannot have ap2sd ...so reversed to original...
Not only you but for me it unmounts but doesn't reboot. It reboots in a totaly random way :/ Most often when I'm connected to USB. Talking about v0.12.
I tried floyo, hackdroid 2.2 & 2.3, minicm.
but none is stable, random reboot, bug & app2sd problm.
back to 2.1 again & again. stable but far too slow.
still waitin the best rom
MiniCM Alpha 3.1 is very good ROM. I'm using it now. I love the native App2SD.
Now testing: Racht's Floyo v.0.10 + Minicm 3.1. for the time being stable.

I haven't had this problem; but, I do have problems with the camera. Occassionally when taking a photo it doesn't take the photo and the screen goes black. I have to press the home or back key a few times to get the screen back again.
There are some apps that won't install; but apart from that, I'm liking it alot.

Most stable Custom ROM for X8 with fully working features ?

Hello,
i am sorry if this is Spam. Personally, i have a X10, my GF has a X8 running the Stock 2.1 ROM from SE. She is very unhappy with the Stock ROM, because it lags and so on.
Is there a custom rom with Android 2.1/2.2/2.3 which is stable, fast (faster than stock) and can use all features of the X8 (hw-camera e.g.)
Any recommendations ?

MiniCM has FM, Camera, Videocam... and it is stable
there is 2.3 roms too but they do not have FM and only VGA camera.
the same as above, i recommend using the latest miniCM, as its the most stable custom ROM right now, with most working features
I think BehradGH MTL Rom Series (based on 2.1.1) is good too
i´m using racht´s floyo 0,15 and its almost bugless.
minicm stable atm
floyo 0.15 hackdroid from ratch work, almost everything, less reboot after installed apps but after reboot its working nice
waiting for stable cm7 2.3.3 j's / ratch's
Sent from my X8 using XDA Premium App
I had miniCM and now 2.3.3 v007 from jerpelea and I think 007 is more stable than miniCM but it has not so much features like fm radio and more working games.
Actually i think that the best 2.2 rom is minicm, but racht is working on 2.3 and it's promising..

I was using v006 and launcherpro was awfuly laggy.
Thanks for your recommandations. I'll give minicm a try
And i'll wait for rachts 2.3.3 or j's (running on my x10)

For now miniCM has most number of working things. Now I'm using it (I need fm and cam). But I hope soon Racht and Jerpelea will make full working 2.3.3 for us

In my opinion for now the most stable and with almost all fetures working is MiniCM
Hey folks. newbie here. Been an Android user for around three month, and after the news that S.E will not be updating the X8 beyond 2.1 i've decided to take the plunge and root. However I am on a pay monthly contract so my question is, is it safe to root and install a custom rom and still use my providers services eg: MMS, SMS, 3G. Probably a silly question but i'm new to all this..
Cheers folks
Hi, is miniCM this one?
I'm trying that one but I don't like the cyan colored icons in the status bar, better white or colored like the Floyo ones... there is a way to change icons or only the color?
you can choose other theme

i'd go with miniCM being stable, although at the moment im using j's 2.3.3 as i dont use fm radio and VGA camera is good enough for me

Same here with Racht's CM7-RC3... I replaced LP with ADW eventhough it's got less features... The screen seemed less responsive. Just seemed so... I also noticed battery drain in CM7 RC3 when I only had GPS on for a couple of mins. Battery kept on draining after that but i didnt try it again to be sure. Quite stable for me. I try to keep SU forgetting root apps and so avoiding crashes.

best rom ?

WHO is THE best ROM ?
again the same, can you ppl read or serch before post?
Rom for what? Daily use? for example can be:
2.2.X
- minicm 1.0.0.1
- floyo 0.20 by racht
2.3.X

For fast 2.2 go get Floyo 0.20 or Elelinux
For fast 2.3 go for Srom or Racht's Rom
guys, how can i make rom by my self ?
It is difficult, but simply you can install apps, configure system, change launcher etc. and then backup it with xrecovery, share and call it whatever you want.

for me, the best rom to date is Froyobread by doixanh..
Elelinux, or floyo... but dx rom will get better over time so you should keep an eye on his thread. I don't recommend gingerbread for daily use as it lacks important features.

I would also recommend FroyoBread, because its a fully working rom, and dx is updating it frequently.
Yes~ Floyobread best ROM at this moment.
Floyo 0.20 is the best ROM for 2.2. the FroyoBread need to be better in support of Arabic/Farsi or RTL language.

Possible give me a glance
thank you
@molimo,
v007 has improved Arabic & RTL rendering.
the best roms are FroyoBread v9 anf Floyo0.20 so far.
I think at the moment FroyoBread v9 is the best one - simple and almost all of the stuff working and it gets updates almost daily
If you looking for more stuff from new android versions you can check some of the 2.3.4 ROMS ( like HACKDROID or XGin 4.0) but almost all of them lack support for camera (some use VGA only) and are have a lot of bugs to be used on daily bases.

This, though if you want Gingerbread Hackdroid v85a is the smoothest and most stable 2.3 ROM.
yay I agree
Froyobread V009 is the best one so far
Good-looking, smooth, battery life is nice
I don't find any bug (FC or whatever)
Good job DX
FroyoBread +1
The only custom ROM which I can run Eternal Legacy without lags. There is only one bug for me in it: sometimes after I push screenlock button, the screen will be locked, but the light never go off, then I have to unlock and relock it.
Speed, battery, RAM, camera, etc. are 100% the best.

[Q] 2.2.1 CM Floyo v0.20 Arabic support

For me Floyo v0.20 is very good and stable and it shows the Arabic letters connected but with some problems, in the same time the CM7 v.54 have the full Arabic support with no problems.
is there any way to take that from CM7 v54 to floyo v0.20.
I don't know how to do that but you could try the new version of FroyoBread (007)..
It says that it has better Arabic and RTL languages rendering...

[Q] board request

Hello there....
I would have a question..
Who is the rom more stable for this phone(something version by 2.2 to 2.3)with multitouch e pinch to Zoom?
If You can for every custom rom,you will write some information and comments about this topic..i
Learn English...
As for the ROMs - all 2.2 ROMs are smooth, stable and so on.
As for 2.3... I believe xgin will be best, it's supposed to have a LED battery drain problem fixed. But I'm not following it that carefully. Why don't you simply install them and try?
Sorry i'm using google translate...
However I do not try all the custom rom because it takes too long
i'm using froyobread v12 and i'm quite happy.
dunno how it compares to floyo v30, anyone tried both?
i'm using froyobread v012, happy with it too.
