Signature Incorrect: Update Failed

Hey guys, I used to have root access, and was having some problems flashing any rom to my phone, so I decided to unroot my phone and start from scratch. I follower The Unlockr's guide to unrooting my phone. at this point I am unable to flash the proper Sappimg nbh / .zip to my phone. I get the error message. I have followed several tutorials no rooting and unrooting my phone, and I never remembered rooting being this difficult the first time I had to downgrade from 1.6. I have used my gold card, and as far as I can see the goldcard was created correctly. There isn't any kind of Sappimg that I can find that is signed or that I can use to get myself back on the right track. In the long run I want to be using Engineer SPL and Amon Ra's most recent recovery image. Also with my 32B board do I need to use the H or G recovery image from Amon Ra? If I try to fastboot a recovery image I get the error message that I cannot use remote. I've tried the Perfected SPL fix, and when I try to apply the SAPPIMG.zip, my phone displays "Model ID: incorrect" Can anyone help me out on this one?
*Side note on the Goldcard
Is my reversed CID supposed to be a HEX reverse or a string reverse?
and when I finish writing the goldcard image, is the lost.dir supposed to be on the memory card?

Did you use Cyanogen Wiki manual to downgrade?

Main Version is older
Went to the Wiki, and I wish I had found that one first so I wouldn't be in this mess But I will remember that page in the future so I can unroot my device with ease. When I try to apply that sappimg, I get the error message:
"Main Version is older!
Update Failed"
Any trick updates that will work for me to root this one? When I try Amon Ra's Perfected SPL trick, I cannot apply any of those updates unless I am trying to do it wrong.
Thank you in advance for helping me get this solved, I cannot tell you just how badly I may have screwed my device. I do have a working device for now, so no worries on unbricking a phone.

I noticed that the stock SPL on the fender edition was 1.33.0013 SAPP 31000 and mine is SAPP 30000, should I try using unrooting methods for the fender editions?

Tried the MT3G fender rooting process and no love with it. Hboot finds the update and the blue bar comes up for a while and then continues searching for update images. Anyone who knows a little more on the subject of the Hboot information please look at my information and see if something is incorrect for an original MT3G that was supposed to be unrooted.

Urevoked S-Off + 3.70 RUU = S-Off still but no more ENG HBOOT

Just FYI.
I had Unrevoked forever (S-Off), and decided to experiment and apply the RUU (exe) to upgrade to 3.70 SW and S-Off remained as expected and I am able to flash custom recoveries, Radios and ROMs... pretty much anything but HBOOT ( nand is still unlocked too). When I try any HBOOT even from previous Officiall RUUs it says "Bypass" and then flashes an error briefly stating "cannot downgrade HBoot".
I'm sure a few others have encounter just wanted to start a thread in case some one knows a workaround or fix.
I repeat ONLY ability to downgrade HBOOT is lost nothing else... kinda wierd if you ask me... but what do I know?

this is a new security thing with hboots 2.02 and 2.10. you need to flash a patch and then the eng hboot. there is a patch floating around for 2.02 but i dont think there is one for 2.10 yet...

Why do you need the eng hboot anymore anyways? CM was the only rom that ever required it and that has long been fixed.

for ext. hboot commands. like flashing splash screens manually and stuff.

[Q] Safe to use Rogers' RUU

Is it safe to use the Rogers' RUU from here: htc.com/ca/support/magic-rogers/downloads/ (HTC MAGIC REQUIRED SOFTWARE UPDATE) if I want to revert to the original rom. Right now I have CM6 right now with hboot as 1.76.2007, and radio as 3.22.20.17.
Will this this brick my Rogers HTC Magic 32a, or do I have to change the radio, recovery, or anything else before I do this?

I haven't had pleasant experiences with RUU's. You'd be better off finding the SAPPIMG's and flashing it from hboot. If the RUU fails, for whatever reason, your phone will get stuck in "RUU" mode.

You have a mismatch between your spl and radio..
Any ruu will properly fail..
Fix:
Flash the 1.33.2010 spl... then flash the ruu

[Q] Help with 2708+ enabled kernel

I'm trying to follow this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831139) to get the new radio and spl. I don't think I can use the fastboot method cause my current spl is 1.33.0013. I have a T-Mobile MT3G (Sapphire PVT 32B) with S-on. Any advice on this? and is the 1.33.0013d spl recommended for this phone?
I'm doing this in hopes i'll get better performance with EzGingerbread by ezterry. If possible, I'd really appreciate a straight forward answer with instructions if you will. Thanks in advance for the help guys. You all are great.

I solved this a little while back, figured I'd post incase someone else happens to need this.
Since I had S-ON, I couldn't update the radio, so I installed https://rs602tl.rapidshare.com/#!do...ip|189|R~3B569328192835CD8749F219CB7FDFED|0|0 via recovery which of course is an ENG spl allowing fastboot, then flashed radio, then .0013d.

Read his entire post and be completely sure you know what you are doing.
You might be able to just flash the above two files. But don't take my word for it. Its a quick copy-paste on my phone and I could have easily copied the wrong thing. So read everything first!

You need a few things.
1. goldcard
2. A sappimg.zip with a higher version than what you have with an Eng spl. (Preferably for 32b)
3. Time, patience
4. Luck
All of these are easy to find or get besides time, patience, and luck

Im currently looking for sappimg.zip that contains the required criteria. I will post after flash attempt...

I forgot to mention a common occurance since I lost custom recovery and custom rooted rom, ect.
the "goldcard-sappimg-flash" process freezes or hangs at [4] SYSTEM during the unzipping portion

As you have MT3G v1.2 / Fender - it is too hard to restore your phone after your faulty actions. You bricked your phone, when flashed inappropriate hboot and radio

That post seems to be talking about mismatched radio and spl. His match, but are the wrong ones. He should be able to flash a sappimg.zip to get an Eng spl and fix from there

Ironically, the thread you have suggested is the first thread I followed to configure my device for the "carz" latest custom rom.
Is there a way around the "unzipping hang" that happens during system partition portion of RUU_Sapphire_Rogers_WWE_3.05.631.7_R_release_signed_NoDriver flash? I have also tried the goldcard method with extracted rom.zip of the mentioned RUU rom with same result.

Yeah, but solution is same. Sure, he can start from step 2, cause he has combo without mismatch between hboot and radio already.
And yes, should flash 2.53.707.2 to get special combo with eng spl and then return to stock.

I was having problems rooting my Rogers HTC Magic+. I used this method and it worked like a charm to get root, Eng SPL. After that I was able to flash custom recovery and ROMS.
The ROM in my Signature works really well.

Flash the original "RRU", then root with androot.apk from market, install rommanager from market and flash recovery, reboot recovery and flash the ENG spl
