Mother in-law has bought a pay as you go Sony Arc Telenor Norway. Phone says No Internet Connection.
Do phones from Telenor Norway not come pre-setup? Do you have to add settings manually?
Help, please.
Visit this link: http://www.telenor.no/privat/kundeservice/mobilhjelp/internettpamobilen/
On the left side, there is "Manuelle innstillinger"... Under it, there is "Generelle oppsett"
Where the settings give IP address do I add this in PROXY?
Sorry but she is in Norway I'm in UK trying to do this over the phone as telenor would not help.
Thank you for your help.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
All done. Got her to do a factory reset and all is working fine now.
Thank you Mano1982 for your help

Thanks georgieo I'll give it a go.
Thanks everyone for the forum. I used it to unlock my O2 XDA11 so that my new (paid for by my work) Vodafone SIMcard would work in it. All has worked well, and I can phone from it and browse the net using GSM dial up, but although it says that GPRS is connected, IE simply returns "page not found" errors as soon as you request any page. Email also gives a message about the pop mailserver not being available. I have checked many times with VOodafone and they are sure that I am properly set up with a GPRS access point at their end. Has anyone come across this problem and would you have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Which GPRS access point are you using? Internet or WAP?
I've had no problems setting up my unlocked XDAII on vodafone.
Check your settings again the ones I posted in this thread if you are unsure (second post).
It might also be helpful to know if you have a clean config, or if you have left all the o2 customization on the phone.
Just thought I'd attach the Vodafone UK customization CAB (see below)
I haven't installed this myself - but it's from the i-mate site and I've checked the CAB and it appears to have the correct settings in it.
So it should configure the device correctly.
Thanks,
I'm using the web access point and i've configured that under "my ISP" in "connections". I have also tried it with wap settings under "my work connection". In either case the connections icon in the top of the today screen indicates GPRS connection. I have however left all O2 customisations on the machine, indeed I updated the O2 rom to the latest and final version just in case. Should I remove the O2 today screen? and How?
Dear Webspider,
the cab you pointed me to has cured the problem. I uninstalled all of the O2 today screen stuff as well, and it all works a treat now.
Thanks a lot.

Glad to hear it. It must have been a configuration problem then.
So since your Vodafone contract is paid for by your work will you be using GPRS to stream radio etc....
Radio really works really well....I seem to get better speeds on the mobile then when I used to use dial-up on my computer.

Maybe somebody could help me to connect XDA IIs with Meteor SIM to GPRS internet (ISP).
Thank you.
same here...
meteor help line is no use at all! "we don't support phones which we don't sell" what da hell? leave alone windows mobile devices - the never heard about them..
they got me really pissed off, so I rang them every day, until some superviser told me that he personally (!) will contact Qtek manufacturers and get the instruction on how to set up ISP GPRS manually... well we'll see
any updates I will post here
p.s. i have qtek s200 btw
OK I am guessing neither of you even attempted to google for meteor gprs settings, because the very first result gives you the wap, mms, and internet settings you need.
hi there,
i've not been able to use the gprs/mobile internet with my new tytn11. i use aljawal service in saudi arabia, i have contacted them-they say they have no support or settings for htc, i also contacted cellucom where i purchased the phone and they are of no help. there must be a way around this, i know the proxy server address so, why won;t it work? can someone plz help me?
thanks alot
anne
p.,s. i once saw (forgot where now) on your site, someone sent configuration settings gprs for mobiley in ksa, therefore i had hope tht he or someone else can help me with aljawal/tytn11
Hi annyksa,
Im not an owner of a TyTNII (yet) but this might be of some help. I have a i-mate Jamin and have been using aljawal's gprs service for awhile now. Around Febuary this year it stopped working, I could connect to the gprs but not to the internet. I use the manual settings to set up my gprs, seeing aljawal does not support auto setup for HTC. It took me 2 months and countless hard resets to find what settings would work. I turned off the proxy (proxy.jawalnet.com.sa) and changed the gprs authentication from Pap to Chap. so even if aljawal had setup instructions for the TyTnII, it would probably be wrong. Good luck and let me know if you get it working, im not going to upgrade from my Jamin to a TytnII with no gprs
You may try this .....it may work

Hi Everyone,
Please may you help, I am using a HTC HD2 phone running Windows Mobile 6.5
I have recently changed over to TalkMobile UK on pay as you go.
I have managed to set-up the GPRS settings no problem using the My ISP setting, but I cannot for the life of me get the MMS to work, and this is after help from the instore CPW staff, customer support at talkmobile on email and on the phone.
I have asked the automated system to send the settings, but this does not work, and confirmed by the customer services.
I think the problem lays somewhere in the My Work Network connection, particularly in the proxy settings.
I would be very grateful if someone could confirm what should go in this connection and in the MMS Settings to check where I am going wrong.
My last hope to get this sorted, or im going back to Tescomobile!
Thanks very much!
