Hi I just get the HTC HD Mini in my hands and i want to get Android on it because the WinMO is very bad. When i found this forums was a glory because here the are a bunch of people ready to port android to any device and that is great. I had read all thread "[TUTORIAL] Install Android on HTC HD Mini" and i are very confused. I have djfastest's port, tzacapaca's download and others and beside there a thread by every features that people want. I think there are very messy. I think you have to go like the Xdandroid project, i used to have a HTC Diamond, were there are some port but there are a Official Release with the new stuff. If the developers can't come together there is no future. My proposal is create a thread were we can put all releases with various mirror, i see problem with the mirror in others, Multiupload is very good.
So what do you think?

I think you meant to start a petition to get Android 2.X ported to your HTC Tattoo. Of course, it's very generous of you to start this, I have to point out a few things:
1. You're posting this in the wrong subforum. This is Chef Central, a place for Chefs and "want-to-be-chefs" to discuss their issues and news on rom cooking / development.
2. Your aim is to get Android 2.X running on the Tattoo is great, but should be posted in the Tattoo's subforum, as developers on that platform can assist you there.
I don't want to act as a ****, my reply is just so this forum stays clean and you get good answers to your questions.

Could it be possible this just runs on the Mini already? What happens if we install XDandroid on the mini, does it get bricked?

i think there's a chance for a booting device, but won't trust that all the Mini specific drivers are integrated.
So maybe, if you offer a donation, these developers will get over it.

Nice that everybody likes to donate... but I dont think any dev is checking out this thread. I would suggest to read the other forums for similar HTC phones, there is a lot of development going on with Android booting on several different HTC phones. Since the HTC Aria (almost identical to the Mini) runs Android natively, creating a working Android version for the Mini should be relatively easy compared to other phones. But it seems nobody is interested in the Mini.

I think the release of htc gratia is a challenge from htc to developers. Htc gratia is almost the same as htc hd mini and it runs Android 2.2
This means that it is possible to run android on htc hd mini; however, the developers might not be as smart as the engineers of htc. No offense guys.

Well WinMo cooking has kind of died off when android appeared. And now that WP7 is available too, you can expect WinMo to be less popular.
Onto topic, yes it is a fun dev phone. If it weren't, we couldn't have had android and WP7 on our phones so fast. (Thank you DFT )

1) You are trying to mention that you're developer in a lot of your post, you think that would save you from beeing called to use search etc? Which moves be to 2 and 3.
2) Use search, read forums, you will find lots of information on development etc na dwould see that HD2 is really good for it.
3) Learn to name your topics "[Q] HD2" is obviously better then usual "please help" that people post, but still far from "[Q] ROM cooking on HD2 compared to Vogue"
PS your only thread as "Dev" has only 1 url to build which is broken and leads to this url is invalid or file was removed.

I would help with money if it's needed but I think that the best way would be a team leaded by a big brand, such as HTC itself that did these pda with win mobile (6.1!!!) when the whole world was going to choose unix-like os.
Now I am passed to an (not so old) iphone4 and I miss a bit my blackstone... but windows mobile was really bad, the worse os I tried.
You also will have difficulties if you'd like to sell it.

too few touch HD users left.
I actually know a fair few people with the device, 2x as work mobile, 2x family members still using, 1x in a drawer after upgrade
but I bet most have moved on or sold/scrap now

but i know, may be hate me some people in xda but i dont know at the moment. if you want just bann me.
I just want helping some blackstone users if i know. And i know that this site the right place for real development.
May be i make some wrong issue it my custom work but i want make it better.

Thanks to your information.
So i look that its posted IceBread nand, for me its okay. No needed closing, I and ~ 20-30 ( i think this score its much more ) people we can confirm that nand its finally booted and working with some minor fixes but it has bugs with panel but not a big problem, big problem is Wifi because i think its not compiled with tiwlan0 module :/. On CM7 i have one times 3G after i playing lot of with apn. but i dont know how to do this again :/ , First in the kernel we need rebuild because herrickwong not share his latest good kernel source for nand.
