Okay so I was messing around with the camera and tried out a couple of the features while I'm waiting on the delivery of my 1st child (girl) here in the hospital lol
First one is poster

Ya I held it at the pet store when I was picking up a feeder mouse for my snake lol it was sweet.
Raccoon at the mall it was a domestic, it was blind and deaf it was pretty cool.

Well actually thats kindof an old picture, that i took with my g1, i have a different setup now. first off, altogether i have four ball pythons. my first one, hes about three feet, ive had him for about three years, and hes in a $120 screentop terrarium from petco...
then not too long ago i adopted a neglected snake from some ppl i met thru a friend...hes about 12 years old, and hes really short for his age cus hes been in the same little tank for 11-12 years...
i recently put the breeder pair in his old tank, which is half-screen top terrarium that came with the snake for free,
and the big guy got the setup that set us back a bit, it was the only tank big enough to actually give him room to stretch out...was about $550 for the stand and tank combo...heres a pic of it at the old house (if you look real close you can see three snakes in there, its a pretty big tank), i just moved to Austin and switched my setup around a bit...i just setup the other two tanks on one of those metal rack-shelving that they use at mcdonalds and subway and ****, and theyre right next to the big one so now i have my own little reptile corner. once i get all the boxes out of the way ill take new pics...lol

Replacement Epic

Hello all, I'm from over at the shift section lol and no I'm not trolling. I was wanting to see if ANYONE has an extra epic, or if anyone has an epic they don't want anymore. I'm trying to find one VERY reasonably priced. The condition doesn't matter as long as it works and the screen is better than decent. Someone please help me out here I'm dying to have that samoled and used my damn upgrade on the shift.

Sorry bub, I love my Samsung Epic. I am running it with Gingerbread. You know what the best thing is some dude is working on port HTC Sense to the Samsung Epic. Dude you are screwed. Try posting an ad on craigslist too, if you have not already done this. You might find some sucker who has the Samsung Epic with Enclair. You can probably tell them that your phone is better because it has a better operating system or some crap that that. Good luck they say a sucker is born every minute.

I think you should try BestBuy, they're giving out Epics for FREE w/ new contract/upgrade. Buying an unactivated used one can cost quite a bit still. Might as wel grab yourself a new one.

As much as I love my NS4G, I would be willing to trade it for a EVO in a few months, based on these things:
If there isnt any sort of update to address reception issues.
If the Photon's bootloader is locked
How many issues the 3D ends up having.
I obviously dont want to take a step back going to the EVO, but I really dont want to be stuck with a POS either. I have a sprint tower a few blocks from my house and have to have my airave plugged in for my phone to work in my house. Thats unacceptable. I was a little more ok with it a few weeks ago when I figured an update would be right around the corner. Every day that goes by makes me doubt that it is anything an update can fix. I really want the Photon, I love Moto devices. I had the Droid 2 and the Droid X and both were very solid phones with great radios and battery life. I expect more of the same from the Photon. But if its locked I dont think it will work for me. The 3D will be a buggy device for quite a while and I dont really want to deal with that, I just sold my Thunderbolt because of the issues it had.
I guess my point is to be patient, someone will want to make that trade eventually, maybe with some cash included also

A tree took my cable wire out yesterday. I had no internet, so no airave. Well, my NS4G was completely useless til they came and fixed the internet. I had to sit outside to use the phone. Wouldn't even send a text.

I too have noticed slightly lower signal reception... however at work I would be stuck on 1x or no service on my EVO... with the NS4G I always have service, even if it's roaming.

Yea, don't get me wrong, I live in a basement apartment so every phone sucks down here. But I didn't have the airave til about a week before I got my NS4G and my Evo and epic both worked, the Evo better than the epic. NS4G won't work at all down here. I left for work this morning and got flooded with emails and text messages that weren't coming through because I had no service.

Possible buy..

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a att branded Nexus S, found one on Craigslist for $300..
I think its a fair price, Guy is local and I'm tired of my Inspire.
Reasons I would like to buy it, smaller screen size, pure aosp, battery life...
I just got the inspire about 3 months ago and will more then likely keep it..
What are things I should look for to make sure it is the real deal or just in general?
Any help is appreciated honestly.
I know I could wait for something better to come out ina few months but I don't use my phone for gaming, just purely alot of web browsing, texting and surfing forums..

Only advantage to the Inspire is screen size. I have owned a Inspire and currently own a NS4G and I like both, but Nexus is smooth. When I buy phones I really just check cosmetic and play with it and check about phone to see what its on and browse the interwebs for a few.

Make sure it is truly the i9020a version and not the i9020t or some other variant. Otherwise it isn't truly the AT&T phone (would not work with 3G otherwise).

What should the about read besides 2.3.4 which kernal is stock etc and thanks for the replies guys keep then coming please

Nexus S phones do not have the carrier branding. Only Samsung and Google in the back.

I paid $399 on eBay for my sealed I9020A and feel it was worth it. I had a SGSII as well and chose the Nexus S due to AOSP and hate for touchwiz.

That I am not sure but, I told him I wanted to me up and he goes, ok my friend works downtown and ill confirm with him, I'm assuming he posted for a friendz but then goes on to say the Guy, who apparently owns his own business.
So sounds kinda sketchy to me, if a Guy can run a business downtown why can't he post his own ad?

Get the IMEI # and call att check it. If he wont give it to you then move on! Gsm phones don't have esn they take sims and you could end up with a stolen phone and not even know it. I know here in Austin they are going for less than what that guy is asking. Just seen a white one for $260 and it was squeky clean.

The AT&T nexus s is only $99 on contract, so $300 for LBNIB isn't sketchy--but the white ns for $260 kind of is. I say meet with the guy if you like the price, inspect for damages and all accessories, then stick your sim in and wait for that 3G or H symbol to pop up. Also make test calls and take pics to ensure speakerphone/mic/camera/etc. is working.
I just bought a LBNIB for $325, so $300 is a good deal imo.

So I just talked to him again, he sent the pictures like he said he would, sweet baby jesus she looks fine! lol
Turns out the reason he mentioned his friend was because they are old business partners and the actual seller wouldn't be able to meet me in person, because he would be at work, so he is going to give the phone to his friend, who he trusts to meet up with me.
I didn't ask the guy where he worked but his friend works downtown here and it's not to far for me, so hopefully all goes well..

On my third shift and I'm done

So I'm on my third shift in two months and I've had it with this phone. First two had touch screen issues and now the third one when I slide out the keyboard the hinges are like grinding. Last time I spoke with a Sprint rep he told me there was only a certain amount of replacement phones allowed and then they would upgrade me. Will this force me to use my upgrade early? I don't really want to use my upgrade early unless I can upgrade again in 6 months when my original contract is up. I would rather wait for the new motorola slider to come out before using my upgrade. And I don't want to have to pay like $200 yet for a new phone/contract. So what are all of my options, or do you think they'll offer a slight upgrade for free like a evo 3d or something?

Well I left sprint yesterday and was shocked that the only htc device they have is the EVO 4G lte. The evo3d and evo design have both been discontinued and pulled from the shelves... Insurance is your only option for a shift and they are on back order... Not exactly a great situation for a shift owner...

Vicodan there's one thread called on my second shift lmao. Yeah Sprint knows I'm fed up with all these shifts being on back order and not having a working phone for weeks at a time and then sending me crappy refurbs that only last a week or so. That's why they told me they would upgrade me after two or three replacements even with insurance. I'm almost with drob on leaving Sprint

If you do take it in, and they start giving you ISH. Do what I do, while your still standing there call Sprint. Let them know the situation, and that the CS Rep in the store isn't helping you resolve the issue. What I've found out the GD hard way, is that the people in the store are not even remotely trying to help you. They're usually on direct orders from the Store Manager to basically put you off. Or try and get you to go through insurance. The stores bottom line is their main concern, not you. I've actually had a store Rep tell me there was nothing he could do to help me. Then I tell him I have Sprint on the phone, and they'd like to speak with them. Then all of a sudden the story changes.

I'm still on my first Shifty, but it is finally beginning to have problems. The touch screen is acting very weird. It acts as if my finger is constantly touching the top portion of the screen.
It will open whatever app is up there, if any, and click through every button within the app on that part of the screen. All while I am not even touching the screen. If I try to back out of the screen or hit home it will just do it again over and over, like I'm hitting the same area over and over.
If I smack the phone off the palm of my hand it stops...lol

What carrier and what device are you thinking of changing to Sparksco?

Yeah my last shift did that. Just add insurance to your account now if you don't have it before it gets worse.

My current refurb isn't perfect either.
It needs viagra. The slider can't keep it up.

I am switching to metropcs soon because it sadly has both better reception in my area and the bill is lower. Probably switching to a lg connect and try my hand at learning how to make roms etc.

If you can start with kernels. They're a little easier in terms of not having to deal with c++
Plus I think your efforts show more when you have your own custom kernels in the roms.
