New Theme questions.... - Epic 4G General

Well, I am NOT releasing the theme until I get approval from B-reezy and the original MattedBlues theme creator, but I am stumbling often with what I've worked on already.
I will supply screenshots but I literally changed all of the framework-res.apk files, so I need help finding which ones to restore.
Now, what looks good.

Now onto the problems....
After pressing menu, I got this problem.
Anyone know which images they are so I can restore???
Then the next problem, with pop ups...I turned on WiFi (yes, my WiFi network is named after my dog...haha). Then finally text boxes have problems. Teehee
Please please let me know the images I need to work on, the sooner I fix these, the sooner I can release.

Looks great! Can't wait to see finished project! I see you got the color figured out !

*eek*! Is that a matted reds! Yayyyyy

The problems I see right off the bat stem from corrupt/incomplete .9pngs.

Personally, I'd make smaller signal bars, add the quicksettings in the notication bar, and don't make the menu in the launcher (that says "add, "settings", "wallpaper") have a transparent background; it's too hard to see.
Otherwise, I really like the idea so far. Maybe get rid of the AM/PM in the notification bar too
Edit: Oh, I see you're having problems with the transparent background thing and quicksettings; Nevermind about that!
But I'd recommend still making the signal bars smaller/getting rid of the AM/PM That's one of the view reasons I don't like mattedblues

I'll chat with B-reezy later this week and he'll help me out with removing the AM/PM in the status bar. This is built completely off the ported MattedBlues and since I'm new to theming, it may be a bit before this is added to the themes board. Otherwise, I'd say I'm very excited to get this done and hopefully I'll move onto ROMs when I have the experience necessary.

ONLY FOR MANILA 2.0
Sooo.. The idea was to create a sleek, minimalistic design to reflect the quality and aesthetics expected from a phone like the HTC Diamond. I tried my best with those goals in mind and this is what I came up with. The original HTC design, in my opinion, was and still is absolutely stunning, so I decided to keep and incorporate most of it into the design, but then introduce a little more space and freedom.
GlassFLO is meant to be used with AllBG_RhodiumManila (ONLY for Manila v2) by showaco for versatility to allow a wide range of user-created styles - Just grab any nice image from the wallpaper setting and go! The previews really don't do the theme any justice, but whatever lol- I really wasn't planning on releasing this.
GlassFLO2.0.cab: Original lined tab theme
GlassFLO2.0_noline.cab: Clean glassflo design, minus the lines
For somewhat experienced users only.

yeah, very nice,good job~
i haven't tried this yet but it looks really nice. i'll be watching this thread to see if you do any updates. how did you get the slider to be invisible? again, very nice theme. thanks for posting it
nice imma give it a try.
Can you please turn this into .theme file so we can easily install it through Diamond TF3D Config application?
Thanks
Beautiful Only suggestion, can you also include the call history tab icon? All the icons on my device are transparent except the call history which looks a bit funny

not backrogund 4 all tab?
where do you get all those cute wallpapers? they are very nice!!!
I have tried looking for the background on all tabs app but couldn't find it.
Can anyone link me to it?
i like the first background (the black one) can you share it? thx
I think I got the right Call History file, but I don't even have that tab, so I can't really check to make sure. And oops, I meant to say BackGround4AllPages. Anyway, I've linked to the topic it's on. I'm actually hoping they finish the Sprint clock part of it because that one seems to fit a lot better for this theme than the flip clock.
Very n1 theme!
can do a theme file?
Not sure I know how to do that.. But I thought someone said on their theme that it basically uses the same format as .zip files, so all you need to do is rename it from .zip to .theme?
I'm probably completely wrong, but I'll look into it lol
Any update on a theme file for this?
How can i install????
dunno how to install it
total newbie .. plz help thx
Very cool thanks very much.
Also a newb. I'm not to familiar with manila's. I kinda understand what they do but if it's not a cab. file I'm kinda lost... Any help on how to get this on my Fuze, and maybe how to get back if I don't like. greatly appreciate it.
thank you very much,and i will wait for .theme file

Could I see a screenshot of it in Sense? Those Icons look nice...
It looks just the way it does here.
Does this also have the Programs tab?
Of course!!! all my sliders do
Sweet, one more small question... does it matter if you install a TF3D slider on a Sense install, or is it version specific?
Sorry, pretty new to playing with phones lol.

Brent,
I have a request if you don't mind. I love the MSN icons but the blue themed set is also visually stunning. By chance, can you incorporate the "people" and "text messaging" icons from the MSN theme into the blue themed set?

for you my friend, i will do one better.
if you sent me the 12 exact icons you want (in 256x256), i will make a slider for ya.
So I was messing around with the stock SenseUI slider icons.
I put a negative effect on them and I think they looked pretty cool, so I made them into a slider CAB.
You know where to find it.

Is There a Way to Remove the GPS OFF Icon from Notification Bar

If there is one thing I can criticize Android on is their Notification Bar. I hate how unorganized and cluttered it is. Android could really learn a thing or so from Palm. The clock, reception, data icons, etc should have its own location far away from app notifications.
Anyways, why do we need an icon to tell us that GPS is OFF? I think we can get a hint that it is OFF if there is no icon there: like most other apps.
Well, is there a way to remove that icon? While at it, is there a way to remove the alarms notification icon as well? I'd rather save that space for other notifications.
You could replace the .png with a transparent one. That way you would still see the icon that indicates when it is on.
There is a way, most likely a .smali edit in services.jar, to remove the icon and the space it takes up but that's beyond my skill level atm.
Replacing the .png with a transparent one is super easy but it will continue to occupy that space, although you wouldn't even notice until your GPS comes on and you see the empty space between data and gps.
It's not cleared out but it was a little big for my taste, for example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
That's ON, the OFF icon is now the same only grey instead of that huge icon with the slash.
Making it transparent is pointless if the space is still occupied. =/
I hope someone is capable of making the changes to the .jar as you mentioned. Any dev out there listening?!?!?

I would agree with you if we were talking about the time or the battery icon but considering if is the far left of the system icons you would never notice the space is still occupied. That said, considering you would never see the difference the .smali edit would hardly be worth the time it would take to figure out.
its not that big of a deal to me. since i keep my notification area clean. if you are running apps that constantly show icons up there maybe check there settings to see if you can disable them. next if you do decide to remove it you are going to need to be rooted
If you go here you may be able to do it, Theming requires a deodexed rom though. There are lots of them that don't have that.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=746061
I know it just says clock and battery, but below it shows a screen shot with no gps icon either, If you check the Theme forum I think you can pretty much modify your task bar however you would like. Good Luck

Huh, thanks, but I meant if you could make transparent that black bar on top where the clock and signal icons are.
I won't mind if you could share with me what png file should I edit to get transparent top bar.

Does anyone know how to make status bar transparent. I've tried UOT kitchen and here is the (half)result. There is still some black element behind transparent status bar when I dont pull notifications down..
Tried deleting "status_bar_background.9.png" in systemui.apk - no change. Actually I can't find anything "black" related to the status bar except "statusbar_background.png".

This theme is brilliant and reflects nicely the whole "Android" vibe.
you should consider branching out to other roms (ASOP and Sense)
I'd imagine there would be many who would use it.
