Hi. Have you flashed this rom already?
any improvements iver 351?
Cheers
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
yes,feels good
354 seems to be similar to 347
Uses old stage ui
havnt found any other notable changes in a prelim examination
Recovery is here http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/354/recovery.img
354 might now be available though "check for updates" until it lands on the main dell ota server.
i dont know what dell-ins.com is, but that isnt where their normal ota updates are stored
(this is likely a legit update nonetheless, as so far it's impossible to create a fake update that would work without having access to their computers/staff)
File size looks much smaller than 351 or 354 (if I managed to download properly)
190Mb vs 137Mb.
Does it match your downloads? if that is so what is not included in this rom?
Thanks
I'm currently on AT&T stock 340. Is it safe to update? Any differences?
mobile.dell-ins.com seems to be the Chinese Streak site, or the M01M as they like to call it.

Ok checked language list but did not see Greek spelled out in Arabic letters. Now there different letters Russian being one of them. Would be the same for Greek? If so if you provide an example will see if any 354's match.

Dude didn't mean it that I meant how would I know I check the language listing it did list Greek but there are other language letters was hoping he said id you see something this than 354 has Greek.
OK guys. No problem. As far as there is greek language inside, I will try it.
I was hopping that a greek user tried it to tell me if greek support is correct. Cause on 351 is a mess.
Thanks anyway.
EDIT: I tried it and there is no greek language in 354.

There will need to be a teardown to confirm that the hardware is the same. If so, I don't see why flashing a euro rom (for GSM anyway, not for CDMA) wouldn't give you full functionality.
Alternatively, if that doesn't work (for whatever reason) then if the hardware is there, then a cooked firmware should also be possible.
I imagine that there will be a lot of interest in phone functionality, especially since its there for everyone else, so expect this to be figured out one way or another within a few weeks of the US release.

I have to say that I've no experience with Galaxy S or Tab so maybe I've done some mistake, but I've tried to flash the new JJ4 firmware on my tab with no success.I got a Fail message during the flash before it started with modem. I've tried with and without repartitioning, also I've tried installing the JHA before, but no success.I had to reinstall the JID..

Congratulations SE!!
The X10 has finally reached it's launch software version.
I have had this device since 4/20/10 and it is now as it should have been at launch.
I would love to be compensated even verbally for beta testing for you for the past eleven months.
Unfortunately, you still can't hear anyone on the other end unless you are in a church or library.
Performance has improved considerably over the life of this device and I am grateful for the updates. In-call volume remains inexcusable for a phone that costs $600USD at launch.

Dual-touch
overall snappier performance
Mediascape and Timescape are snappier
Mediascape can be used in landscape mode, has single-touch zoom as well as pinch-to-zoom for pics.
Mediascape menu system has been revamped a little and can now make playlists in Mediascape.
NeoReader (barcode scanner app) and Postcard app added
Remember to reinstall Swype after installing this if you use it for it to work.
You must re-root and so far only SuperOneClick works for that (reboot phone after rooting for root to take hold). In order for xRecovery to work, you must install Busybox from the Market as the one installed by SuperOneClick is a slightly newer version and xRecovery won't recognize it.
If I think of more changes, I'll add them. People can feel free to add to the list though.

Samsung release their own source codes and to modify Nexus S 2.3.4, it will take lot of effort.. Some Devs are trying to use HTC sense on SGS.. but its not easy

Hi,
I am new to Samsung phones so don't know a lot of the terminology. Can anyone please explain what a .pit file is and what a PDA file is?
I understand the android advices guide, but I do not understand why there is no ext4.pit file in the following link, if it is necessary for the upgrade procedure:
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9100.htm
So... is it strictly necessary, or is it possible to get by without it?

In india DDJP4 is the newest rom.
1.Camera crash bug is fixed.
2.in camera settings there is a new gps option to enable or disable geo tagging.
3.it seems less laggy than any other previous roms.
And there is the sound distortion bug when screen is unlocked.
But we can get rid of this by using fugumod kernel.
XXJPQ up now
Flashed this rom 36 hours ago., and fully charged it. 30 hours of regular use with calls, meessaging, music, GPS, setting up my settings and syncing, downloading my apps from the market and trying out the cam etc etc.., the battery is down to 15%
GPS lockes in seconds, new market app, new Google Maps, (not the newest but newer than all the other roms).
Rooted, but no custom kernels nor themes. No lag what so ever and no noices in calls or in music. followed claknov's tips and deactivated powersave and screen sounds made the GUI much more smoother.
i <3 this rom. will upload some screenies soon.. (coz i found the font to be a bit more clearer than earlier but it could just be in my head)

Probably a sammobile.com firmware .
jje
This is not for i9300 but for i9308 which is a chinese variant as far as i know from googling, also found that i9308's stock roms are bloated to death with chinese apps and such. Simply just dont flash this as its for the china variant and bloated to hell.
I've come across a China Mobile I9308, and I have the Asian/Chinese firmware on it and firstly, removing the bloatware takes 3minutes (quick root flash via Odin, install Root Uninstaller App and remove all stock/bloatware apps). Secondly, to install Google Play Store (which took me hours to figure out), you need to install a "gapps(something or other. I can't recall).zip. Only problem I've run into is getting 4G to run after flashing it to AT&T. And last but not least, I think this is definitely not the Chinese Firmware. The Chinese firmware can be found in samsung's website and the file has a different name.

---DONE---
Latest ROM
I have a i9308 and any of the newer release of the "official firmware' messed up my start up and made it loop...
I installed this using Heimdall skipped the bootloader as it seems to fail in both odin and Heimdall on hardware build 6.00
I found the newest official rom bbs dot anzhi dot com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6344702 ... sorry not enough posts to send out side links ... i under stand.
everything else worked fine.... after this and i was able to back and do the usual install of CWM ..... which failed using Heimdall ... again on the bootloader .... so using Odin it worked ... i used virtual box and Windows 7 ... with the latest Samsung drivers ....i had to create a specific interface for the Samsung in virtual box so the i9308 would mount with out conflict in windows .... i was then able to install CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4 ...
Once rooted i started looking for a way to install google play and all the google services.
i installed this ROM anzhi_karben_samsung_i9308_V1.0 which had the google drivers i needed and was not full of to much other crap and worked well in english ... i found this here bbs dot anzhi dot com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6198323 i used my Wiebo account to do this and was then able to download.
I got the google pack ..... well one that worked and after i checked everything did not have any malicious scripts that i could find ... bbs dot anzhi dot com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=5401203 ... the zip file was gapps-ics-20120429-signed-4.0.4
i hope this helps some people Heimdall took a little after i figured out how to do this.... it was easy ... i have wiped it out a few times i nthe last week and tried different ROMs from the various Chinese boards ...some made very odd requests for SU access here and there ...i generally removed them after trying to find the offending script .... as i said so far the ones i am using have been pretty safe with little to no issues. I did go in and remove a lot of the preloaded China Mobile wares ...so far the phone is great ... i do fid the wifi signal sucks....
My first android i rooted myself ...see what happens after a drunk night in a taxi in Beijing and you lose your iPhone.... having fun.
