Request for new features in Auto-Nooter 4.0 - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently Barnes & Noble released NookColor 1.2.0 update. There are manual Nooters available for rooting this version, but Auto-Nooters have been the best ones always.
I'd like to request someone to add Bluetooth drivers along with the Auto-Nooter 4 which will be releasing sooner. This will allow everyone to use Bluetooth.
Thanks in advance.

Offer of Help to Technomancer

I've been reading these forums for a long time, learning exploring and trying. However I have not been posting many questions, because generally with a bit of research I've solved and answered my questions here in the forums.
Technomancer has released a fantastic ROM of Cyanogen Mod 7, Gingerbread based, for the Galaxy Tab.
To date I have flashed my Magic through various flavours of ROM's and not bricked it, I'm currently using an HD2 with a NAND based CM7 build as my daily device and have managed to flash Technomancer's CM7 onto my Galaxy Tab.
I am not a developer, I have some experience of Linux, OSX and Windows and can clearly follow instructions and provide feedback. I'm well aware of the risks of flashing these devices and accept the chances of a brick.
So here it is, an open offer of assistance and a desire to learn more. I cannot post in the Dev forums for the obvious reasons.
Maybe I should have posted more stupid questions rather than learn by research.
Cheers

[Q] Honeycomb 3.1 Update installation

Hello guys, I am new on android. I have downloaded honeycomb 3.1 update for motorola xoom from the internet.
Can i install it to my acer iconia a500?
if yes then how?
i have rooted my iconia a500. now i am not getting updates from acer like .40 and .41 that United states a500 holders received.
i am from Qatar.
is any one from middle east have received these updates?
waiting for reply.
Thanks.
No, you absolutely can NOT install the 3.1 for a different device on your Iconia. Not if you want a working tablet afterwards.
The last day or so have seen a breakthrough in the recovery software for our device, and there's a partially working beta of a 3.1 update specially for the Tab on these forums, but your best bet for now is waiting for the official update due within the next 2 weeks.
no you will KILL your tablet...
either wait for an update to hit your region or have someone a little more android savvy install the PRIMEE 1.4 custom rom for you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1121790&page=11
check that
Also for future reference keep questions in the general thread as opposed to the development thread
thanks to all for reply
I am thankful to all who reply and save me from doing harm to my tablet.
i will keep care next time and will not post questions in this development section.
pardon me for that.

Frequently Asked Questions
[Last updated on 03/01/12]
Q: I downloaded the latest CM9 build, but [XXX] isn't working!
A: Search! Search the CM9 threads, search Google, but for the love of God - please first search for the answer! If you did, and could not find it, you have three options:
1) Read this, it might very well answer your question.
2) Check out the live support chat But search first.
3) Go here and ask your question. But search first. Did I mention you should search first? You should search first.
In any case, if your question or query is not directly related to development, please do NOT post in the development section!
Q: I can't connect my phone to my PC! What can I do?
A: This is a known issue. There are several ways you go around this - either by downloading to your PC a program called Droid Explorer, or by downloading any of the wi-fi file transfer apps on the market.
Q: When I start up the Superuser app, it crashes! What do I do?
A: Users are reporting success by searching for Superuser updater on the Market, installing it, and forcing an upgrade.
Q: I can't buy apps from my phone! What can I do?
A: This is a known bug. The only way to buy apps right now is through your home computer. Refunding is reported working on the phone, though.
Q: When I download a big app from the market, I get an error message! What can I do?
A: This is a known bug. Nothing can currently be done about it, unless you already downloaded the app and have it backed up. In that case, there is an advanced work around that you can find by searching the CM9 threads.
Q: I heard Codeworkx got a Galaxy Nexus, is he going to stop supporting the Galaxy SII?
A: Nope, not currently. Actually, it means he can use his Nexus for day to day use, and only focus on development on his GSII. This is in our favor.
Q: I found and downloaded an ICS ROM by Airbus360, I heard its better than CM9, is that true?
A: Apparently, Airbus360 simply took what the CM team has been building, added a few useless lines of code (read: they don't do anything), and claimed that its faster. He also pretty much claims to be doing most of the hard work when in fact, he isn't adding much of anything.
If you have anymore frequently asked questions to add, please PM me and I'll add them as quickly as possible.

[Q] Nooberific Question regarding Ice Cream Sandwich

Hey guys, really new here. Its been great reading all of your threads and choosing a ROM to install on my Acer A500. I have what is possibly a really dumb question so I appologize but will Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (is it even out for installation?) run on the Acer Iconia A500? Isn't there a dev version out now? Thanks in advance!
P.S. does anyone know if I can get the Linux version of Gratuitous Space Battles to run on the Acer A500?
Please use the search tool next time, this has been discussed many times and your post is just spamming XDA.
Now, answering your question, rumor says Acer will be releaseing ICS on February (they have even confirmed so in their Mexican Tweeter account), who knows if they are serious this time. There are also a few A500 custom ROMs based on ICS, so hardware-wise, the A500 is more than capable of handling it.
Thanks. Moderators please feel free to delete this thread.
there are two threads that are on going about linux on the iconia.. One is in the dev section. the other i think is in the Apps and mods .
Ics does have a few roms out now..but none of them are complete.Neither of the two are on xda forums as stated above a quick google search will bring more results then asking in the forums...
There is no absolute to when and if .. we will get ics from acer..When it does I would suggest to not take the OTA . As its likely to not be able to be rooted from the start. IF when it does come the Developers will be all over it.. And we will see rom s that are rootable to be releases.
good luck

[samsung i857(doubletime)]ROM devlopers and users of this phone

HI all , i lunched this thread after weeks of googling and usless search for a new stock or custom rom to update my phone (samsung sgh-i857 doubletime) it's a dual screen phone with querty built-in keyboard it's from at&t and it is stuck on android 2.2.2, i'm very sad that they and after years from lunching it didn't back it up with a single soft update -_- ... and i know that there are users who bought this phone like me and seek help.. i know that it's not this easy but if you are a devloper help us by creating a custom rom for it ....if you are a user of this phone please support this thread by commenting so we can get an update for it :good: ps: i attached informations for it's cpu
Hello good sir, I like you am a noobish Doubletime user who is struggling to update it to Gingerbread. So far I have been somewhat able to use the Cyanogenmod source code and I have built a CWM Recovery for the device but that seems to have hard bricked it... I ordered a new one off ebay for $15 and I'm ready to start cooking. You have my support!
Just an update.
I have a plan I have on how to get this runnin.
1. Port CWM to the DoubleTime through Cyanogemod 6.
2. Get a working version of Cyanogenmod 6 working on the DoubleTime to hopefully free up some space.
3. Find if Gingerbread can run on Froyos kernel.
From there I'll either be building a GingerBread compatable kernel or Cyanogenmod 7 depending on compatability. Any advice or help would be very appreciated.
Being new to ROM building I'm a little lost and hesitant on flashing things but here's what I know so far.
The DoubleTime uses a Qualcomm MSM7230 same as the HTC Vision. I forked it's Github respiratory and I'll be using it as a base as recommended by the Cyanogenmod porting guide.
The partitions sizes (as a accurately as I can estimate them) are:
/cache=21.05MB
/data=176.65MB
/system=194.38MB
I may need to know the recovery partition size but I'm not sure how to find that out.
I have the recovery.img and the boot.img as well as the zImage. So as soon as the repo sync is done I'll be on my way.
I'm back again today with somewhat mixed news, I can find most of the partitions and their names (I've learned a lot today) but I can not seem to find the boot, recovery or ramdisk partitions. I'm already boggled by the what seems to be unconventional naming setup for partitions. Put all of my "notes" in a text docement in the attachments section. Any help with this is very appertiated. I can type and post anything into the ADB shell you need me too.
I'm beginning to feel like I'm talking to myself, I probably am...
Upon reading forum rules and such it has come to my attension that this is the wrong forum for this kind of thread, So I have made a new thread in the Miscellaneous Android Developement Forum that will hopefully be more useful at getting more proffesional and opinionated help.
