I take no responsibility for any harm that comes to your phone as a result of applying this mod.
Rom based on Official B160.
Features
Kernel from genolokar (available here), see note 1 below for overclocking info.
Rooted and latest SuperUser
Native froyo wifi tethering
WyContacts 1.2 and XDA Dialer 30.1 (turn to silence, blacklist, many other features)
CM 6.1 Email app and wallpapers
Launcher Pro 0.8.5
Some build.prop tweaks
Same enhancements that are claimed for B160 (better call quality, better wireless, better camera)
Installation will not format /data or remove apps from /cust. For some roms (unicom in particular) this will cause problems due to some incompatibilities, and will require a factory reset to function correctly.
BIG THANKS to genokolar for creating the new kernel
Requirements
Clockworkmod recovery (available here)
Should be compatible with all rom and cust versions, though as stated some will require a factory reset. Please post your findings.
Downloads
Complete rom with all fixes and 1.5Ghz kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/0HR8W3BMUR (updated 15/5/11)
Update with all fixes and 1.5GHz kernel http://www.multiupload.com/OISOHEHTDP
1.8Ghz Kernel (use above download to revert to 1.5GHz kernel): http://www.multiupload.com/T7C4N0Q1CQ
Installation
Copy update.zip to your sdcard
Boot to clockworkmod recovery
(Optional) Perform a full backup [see note 2]. After backing up reboot recovery (in the advanced menu)
Apply update from sdcard
After update is compete wipe dalvik cache (in the advanced menu)
Reboot to system. First boot will be slow as it rebuilds the dalvik cache so be patient, successive boots will be back to normal.
(Optional) If everything is fine delete the backup from step 3 and if you like do another backup
Notes
By default the kernel is set to the default cpu governor and clock speed. If you would like to overclock I suggest using setcpu (available here)
Be aware that after applying this you won't be able to restore the full backup unless you either revert to the original rom, or change the boot image. The purpose of the backup is instead to have a backup of /data just in case something goes wrong.
Not good with CUSTC205D001 Finland Elisa, swype force closes constantly
That's a shame, can you try deleting libswypecore.so from /system/lib ?
Great rom. My phone has no problems with 1.5ghz launcher pro is an awesome inclusion I l love the sideways home screen.

When first boot takes over 30min what do you recommend?
EDIT: Power Cycle did the trick. I did a batterystats wipe and fixed permissons before first boot maybe thats why it hanged. I upgraded from general to stockwells 136 and then this.
Thanks for this great ROM!
The only thing I noticed is that the camera has bad colors. Can somone confirm?

Which version of Revamped are you running?
I found that different versions are better than others in some ways. I recently flashed back to xx-2 from the recent "Lite" release. I've used Bali, it has good battery life, but the Glitch Kernel it came with OC more, which I liked, BL on that is pretty good as well.
What exactly keeps crashing?
I had same problem. Run factory reset in cwm.

Exactly.
I'm gonna guess you're getting fc on acore.android.process? Or something like that.
factory reset, download revamped lite, flash and good to go

I had that problem and factory reset didn't help.
You might have to ODIN back to stock and then re-flash

This rom is based on the official firmware B540, so android's version is 2.3.5. This is a rooted version of the B512 fw with many tweaks and improvements.
To install this rom you firstly need to upgrade to the official 2.3.5 fw (be careful: update to B512, not to B540). Then you need root permissions and the CWM recovery.

Hi,
thank you for this work!
Anyway I have to ask you something about your custom rom.
Does your Rom have the quick settings widget in the status bar?
Did you fix the accelerometer problem? For example if you try to move on the street view (of Google Maps) with the compass mode, you understand that the accelerometer has a problem.
Can you explain what problems you solved from the stock 512 Gingerbread 2.3.5 rom from Huawei?
Thank you in advance,

the rom doesn't have the quick setting widget...but the current release is only the aplha0.
i have just tried with an app called "accelerometer test" if the accelerometer works but seems that it doesn't.
from stock B512 i have not solved any problem because, using it for a month, i have not found any kind of problem. mainly i have edited the build.prop and i have added some scripts to improve performance.

As you understand it's very difficult for me to change baseband,as i still couldn't found a way to downgrade again if i don't like the new baseband.......and i want to have my fm radio not loose it.....

Oh man the terror.
I got that when i first flashed GDX.
I nearly had a heart attack!
-----------------
- Swift -, formerly known as IrishStuff09
I tried every latest releasing ROM.
Use it for a day or two, then flash back to LEWA OS v4
Thing i got in LEWA OS v4 is the Ram cleaning button in the notification widget.
Moreover i got the three buttons by touching the status bar , useful sometimes.
When using some app like UC Browser , you can't minimize it for anything because ram is full and if you minimize it , it closes and do not recover on maximizing.
But in LEWA you can pull Notification bar and clean ram while using the browser and then minimize it.
And this works ....
Flashed minicm9 from GDX, wiped everything except system, took 10 mins to boot, was afraid that boot loop occurred .
Then I installed supercharger and Rohin's tweaks, and it took 15 mins to boot...
Scariest 25 mins in a switchover I ever had...
First custom rom is GingerDX....
it's take 3 month to make decision coz scarred of bricked my X8

Why? Your tweaks sped up ICS so much, it probably saved me 30 hours by now . The only troublesome part is first boot, because I have an odd boot script that does something to newly installed applications, not sure where it came from
And Supercharger deleted my dalvik cache, so I had 170 applications for the boot script :banghead:

2.9.29 is obsolete / new 2.9.29.1 Release at MiuiPortugal
I am not that active here at XDA mostly because I am moderator/tweaker/modder at MiuiPortugal
The 2.9.29 pointed at the first post on this thread was still related to the first RC's I compiled based on Geno's Miui (just like CrazyGamer)... With some help from turkish, russian and chinese miui members, I was able to get things working "almost" properly with 2.9.29.1, as I state on the official thread...
But future releases might improve performance and stability...

Hey Guys,
I have worked on fixing certain issues with Shenqi V4.1,Like calendar and few other. I think its a very stable ROM, have been using it for over 3 weeks. I would like to post it for you. I am no developer/Hack expert, just a curious noob. I fixed very few issues and the ROM is pretty good. Thanks a lot for Shenqi to the original developer Yicong Huang and also mchlbenner for constantly trying to provide us with the best.
Features
1)Camera and Video (native)
2)Sensors and compass
3) FM
5) Everything that the phone supports.
Drawbacks
1)Lacks proper memory management (only when you open too many apps), could be over clocked to 1Ghz though for better performance.
2)No keyboard included. Please keep a keyboard app handy.
3)No link2sd
Instructions:
1) Create a folder called nandroid on SD-card and put it inside. If you already do just copy the downloaded files inside.
2) 3 Wipes before and after.

Fortunately I flashed this rom several weeks ago on my wife's stone. Imho it is good for a daily driver and also one of the faster roms which are available for this device. :good:
Here is a mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/download/gkldv6kay2jmsbj/ShenqiV41_With_GAPS_nandroid.zip
Note: This is the original version incl. gapps provided by OP. You need to restore it through nandroid.
Have fun!
