hello everyone,
i am using the april 27th GB version on my htc hd2, it looks great so far; everything is working
i have one small issue, i can't seem to choose a ringtone/sms_notification other than the ones that are already provided.
i would like to use mp3 files for the ringtone and the sms notification, so does anyone have an idea where to place the files?

Hi all !
Can anybody with DOPOD ROM post here the nice DOPOD specific notification sounds like "You've got new mail !" and others.
I've upgraded to the Cingular 1.34 an cannot extract them from DOPOD ROM anymore.

Dopod Sounds
I have an official DOPOD ROM here (Official_RUU_Artemis_DOPODASIA_WWE_LOVE_1.28.717.1_INFINEONgsm4.1.13.30_02.69.90_Cmp_Ship_R.exe) and I have exactly the same problem (I want my voice notifications back!).
I've managed to unpack the RUU using NBHExtract, but I have no idea which NB has the sound files, or how to extract them.
If you tell me how to get them out, I'm happy to post them.

(PS. I have a LOVE not a HERMES, so I guess this is technically posted in the wrong forum, but I'm guessing the sound files are the same anyway)

First of all, I admire this website... it is the best.
I noticed in recent ROM's that there are some missing instruments in my MIDI files ring tones. this problem happened after installing 2.26 ROM, and happened in more files after installing AKU 3 ROM. not only in my cell phone (T-mobile MDA) but also in Cingular 8125 and JAZJAR.
When I try to play these MIDI files using other programs in my cell phone, they play excellent, but this problem happens only when using them as ring tones.
Any help will be appreciated.

i have a p3600 with the new official gps rom. With the previous dopod, i had a nice ring tone which sounds like the old vintage phones. Now with the new rom, i've lost it (and default rings are quite ugly.. ). It was not embedded into dopod rom, rather it had been added by some tweaking utility but i don't remember which. Could anyone who have it, post it here? thx!! (eventually, let me know which program add such rings)

UnZip the attached file and copy it to your phone (in to Windows folder).

sorry but i dont have the Dopod ringtones.
actually I am using the latest HTC Rom, and it does have the OldPhone ringtone, so i just copied and attached it to this post.

Hi, I just upgraded my Trinity to Ausdims 6.1 lite rom - and I like it very much. No problems so far.
But I miss my old ring-tones, I had one which sounded like an old phone with the bell ringing. Unfortunately I can't remember its name.
Is anybody able to extract these ring-tones from a wm5?

Just installed WM6.5 on my OKTA Touch.
Have yet to see much difference from WM6.1 aside from the fact that files in "My Ringtones" no longer show up in Notifications which was the case in 6.1,
also disappointed that the WAV restriction is still in place for alarms.
I've just come back from the land of the Droid and straight into WM6.5 and so far I like it alot. Nice fresh UI, nice menu, easy to use and it's fast on the OKTA Touch. Just set an MP3 as a ringtone off my SD card (Tiki Tane & DubXL - Summertime) and all good so far.
Maybe you just got a crap ROM?

Overall I have no major problems with WM6.5, just disappointed that only WAV files can be used for alarms and that sounds for notifications can no longer be picked up from My Ringtones folder.
Currently I have NFSFAN's WM6.5 1.00 FINAL ROM.
Waiting for XevRev's Telecom NZ ROM

Why are you trying to get them to be picked up from the Ring folder for? Just copy and paste the wav files into the Windows folder and there you have it
The UI looks better and if you use the HTC touchflo2d it looks even better.
