I used to be a herald/wing user. I miss that phone. But its nice to see this device is still being rocked and some nice roms! I remember running the first beta 6.5 rom way back. Keep it alive!

Hey, I'm going to try flashing my MDA for the first time here in a couple days. I'm just curious what ROM everyone is using and where to get it. This isn't a "What's the best ROM?" thread, I'm just wanting some feedback and I think others could benefit from the feedback.
I love XDA Mobile 6 Release 5 on my wizard. It's been almost rock solid. (I don't think I've ever had anything run 100% rock solid on my wizard, including the stock roms, btw). This is really a great rom in my opinion! Thank You mfrazzz!!!

i'm running xda 6 release 5.. awesome rom. seems the most stable, and has apps I can use and doesn't have all the fancy touch/cube crap.
Jaguar.
And frankly, this is pretty much the same as the BEST ROM thread, because people will pretty much post what they have run for a long time and consider to be the best. If they are trying a new rom, they will more than likely post the pro's/con's in that rom's thread so the chef knows. For instance, I ran Jaguar 3.1 and now am running Jaguar 4.0. Any issues, I'd post in the Jaguar thread.
I have run Jaguar for several months and it is extremely stable, dependable and fast. So for me it is what I am running currently, and IMHO the best rom.
ive tried ALL the roms in this forum and right now, im running NBD 7.somethin
its by far d best rom ive used..been usin it for over 2 weeks now without ever needing to soft reset unless im installin somethin..
its also got touch, but i dont use it...deleted the shortcut so i dont get tempted..(eats up memory)
and is also really fast..
BLACKDIAMOND 3.1...it's great...
right guys,iv had my hd2 for a few months now and feel the time is right for a change.im going to flash my phone today but im not sure which rom to use.id quiet like the one that has a few more shortcut icons but id like to keep the weather animations in.what rom would you suggest i go for..?.
cheers....
Sorry mate,
in this question, you are alone. You must choose ROM yourself.
In every other question you get lot of answers from many members, and we will be glad to help you.
Maybe you can start with ROMs and cookers with many posts......
They are close to stock ROMs, but faster, smoother and general better.
You will find your way.
Cheers
Sorry for my English.
It's a personal choice really, they are all great roms
I have not used all the cooked roms but I can give you my opinion on the ones I used
my first cooked was from kwbr .. it was really good, but it hanged once in a while..
my 2nd rom was from laurentius26.. at the time the version was much more stable but it lacked a few of the goodies I had with kwbr's.. it also had a problem with right to left language support
kwbr stopped cooking and forwarded his fans to sternas.. I started trying his roms which were extremely up to date... his was good on right to left spacing and was pretty stable but not as fast as laurentius26's
ever since I have been changing from versions of one of these 2 great cooks to the others in order to find the one that does it for me... I currently use Artemis 4.0 (by sternas) ... my next rom will either be his version 6.0 or laurentius26's 3.0.. either is great really.
kwbr is also cooking again but he has been off the forums for a while and I am currently loyal to these 2 as they have spent more time on their masterpieces ... as for shortcuts, it is an easy tweak which you can add to any rom.
hope it helps
cheers
this question has been asked like 999999999times now...
the answer is VERY SIMPLE, the best ROM is in the eye of the beholder.
they are all very good and the choice is personal rather then witch one is the best.
If you don't like to make a choice yourself I can make this choice for you.
Go with smaberg's rom!
I'm alternating maesus / smaberg and currently waiting for maesus 1.8 to be released.
ps, please don't ask why!
I just bought an unused Omnia II i920 off Ebay - It should be here in a week or so. So, I'd like to know...what ROM do you think is the best?
As some background, I'm coming from the i910. I'm currently using Lioryte's latest, with Titanium turned off and SPB MS3.5 with Mskip's enhancements. It's a thing of beauty, and took the Omnia from virtually unuseable to awesome. (I was formerly a huge Evidence/Bgill fan - his ROMs were rock solid! Hated losing him.)
This is how I'd planned to run the O2 - MS3.5. But, the Sense ROMs look pretty nice, too.
Lemme know, folks. I know there aren't many O2 owners here, but I also know that any here are striving to make the phone work to it's fullest potential. These are the type of folks I want advice from!
Man thats tough to say. I mean Ninja makes some AWESOME roms, I just don't like using 6.5
I have made a few and currently my favorite is the Sense 2.5 rom.
Just my 2 cents.
(BTW there are a BUNCH of us on MoDaCo)

I know, I've been an i910 Modaco member for a while. There just doesn't seem to be much activity in the i920 forum over there.
hi, I m 2 owner of omnia 2 and still doesent know how to upgrade my phone to offical latest rom, software say its allready latest, but i know that is Windows mobile 6.5 21863 build
Just coming from the TP2 to the Samsung Epic 4G !! Very excited...So far, I have the clockwork recovery, DI-07 kernel, rooted w/ all the goodies, and am currently running the AOSP magic rom w/ Generaldog's OC kernel and must say I am very impressed thus far! Coming from Windows Mobile it was difficult at first to achieve these things, I did brick the phone and immediately started to panic, as I only had the phone for 2 days!
But, anyways, I am glad to become a part of this forum and would like to start cooking my own roms, as I have experience cooking them with windows mobile. I know it may not be the same but, I am a very quick learner and if someone could point me in the direction to start cooking roms, then maybe I could start releasing my own roms ! I would also be wlcome to any knowledge and may have some to give myself...Lets make the Epic a really great phone...Even though it is already a great phone!
Hey,
Just dropped on this ROM based on CM7 and LordMods kernel...

So i wanted to share with y'all

Woah, thats impressive. I want that notification wallpaper on my LeeDroid lol. Cant live without Sense features myself lmao
I used to be sense addicted but lately I've come to prefer the speed of Cyanogenmod. Its still been a struggle for a flashamaniac like me to keep up though. There just seem to be more and more good roms appearing on our forum every week.
The Paradoxx one I look forward to trying once he rebases to CM 7.10 RC.
wow that looks amazing, ill be sure to try it
