BTW, if you like our work, buy us a beer
I am currently running gojimi vegan ginger rc1. What will I have to do if I want to go back, and how are storage partitions mapped on this Rom ?
cool! can't wait to try this. waiting patiently for rom to be uploaded and installation instructions to be posted...
Can't wait to finally try this when I get a few days off!
Question: After trying this and having the bootloader upgraded, will I be able to easily revert back to Clemsyn -Calkulin 1.5 with the new bootloader or will I have to nvflash?
I had to use nflash to go between the two bootloaders. My apps are usually remaining or you can use Titanium to get them back.
Awesome build running smooth already glad someone posted this here

Thanks for posting it here Clemsyn. I really didn't want to sign up for another forum so I can ask question haha.
Anyways, when you say gmail is working, is it fully functional? I thought there were shader (or something like that) issues that prevented us to see the body of the email.
Also, is flash in the browser working?
Those are my two must haves if I am going to switch to HC.
Thanks in advance.

No flash yet. There is a hacked gmail.apk that works fine. I am using it now, and only flash is not working of everything I personally use. The devs are very close now.
I apologize for the delay, it wasn't done uploading yet and I needed to go to my kid's science project (he won 5th place). Just got home so I posted the link on first page. BTW, gmail is also fixed.

actually flash is technically working just fine...it's the opengl shader issues causing it not to display properly...opengl is also causing the gmail app issues (alt app in place as a temp fix, now) and opengl issues are causing a few other apps to have issues as well...once opengl is resolved then this will be a practically perfect build, imo been running it for about a week now with all the updating and love it!!

Thanks clemsyn for sharing this, so whats the difference between this and Roebeets versions released on slatedriod ?
hey, clemsyn...when you get back online, I have a question for you. A lot of the current talk in the Adam dev chat is that a .36 or newer kernel will resolve many of the current issues (OpenGL specifically)...I was wondering if maybe you had a newer version kernel in the works or not for the gtab? If so, how's it coming along? If not, how tough do you think it would be to develop a .36 version of the kernel? Thanks for everything, man. Have a good one.
Is Dolphin HD working on this?
Thanks to clemsyn & roebeet for porting this from the Adam.

Hey Roebeet, its been awhile but I'm back and ready for HoneyComb. I folowed your directions. I used NvFlash to get back to 3588. I then installed CWM .08 and partitioned internal 2048 and 0. I put the zip on internal and installed via CWM. Now it hangs on the viewsonic white screen? Any Ideas?
Theres already a 2.3.32.40 overclocked kernal out. Is that not what you are wanting?

it's 2.6.32.40...the 40 is the version number of the .32 kernel...they are looking for a x.x.36.x kernel to possibly resolve the issues with opengl...

I think this guys issue stems from the fact that he installed cwm. This rom needs to be installed with the stock bootloader.
Well I have the same issue, I wiped, but nothing. When I flashed the file, it said unknown command bootloader, bla bla.
Pretty sure thats the issue, I was running 3588 ...dont know whats up.
I get the same results with the unknown command bootloader. I've tried wiping all data after the installing the rom and the gtab still gets hung up. This is coming from using nvflash to 3588 and a repartition.
Hi guys,
Just sharing some official Acer 3.1 ROM love.
You can download the update.zip from here http://www.multiupload.com/P9EHQZXL2F
Flash with CWM.
P.S. Nothing has been removed or touched except for installing su.
P.P.S You also probably should delete your data and cache partitions to prevent contamination.
tks a lot.
thanks i'll try install this after download ending
Anyone tried this yet?
it works besides an error during startup, it states error unmounting -i could not see what- but i will check.
works fine otherwise.
it states 3.1, kernel 2.6.36.3
trying now
have applied over 3.1 leaked, and coming up with 4.010.02
all apps and settings seem to work.
still have wifi DHCP issues
may be best to wipe data before applying but will see if i get any other issues.
have got books and videos apps
Any improvements over the leaked 3.1?
thanks!
My stock backup got deleted by accident (hdd crash on my PC where I kept the backup).
Will give this a go tomorrow - already have root on advance copy of 3.1 - just need to install cwm and flash, right?
Olllè
yes successfully installed and all work fine, very very fine!!!! only downloaded and loaded with cwm 5, too many easy for me hihihihihi
i am currently encrypting it to check if exchange is working well. takes a while, but it seemes to work fine.
It s rooted? Thanks.
obviously yes
Do I need to rename the zip file to update.zip or leave it as update_3.1.zip, and when flashing do I use the option to install zip from sdcard or apply update from sdcard
Thnx in advance!
if you use CWM, you don't have to rename anything. use install zip from sdcard.
I left it update_3.1.zip and put it on the external sdcard, and then I used install zip from sdcard and picked the update_3.1.zip no errors at all.
Thanks guys, will try it out....it's easy enough to re-install all my apps after the wipe...
Hi Guys, please help here. They've blocked multiupload where i work. Can you please attach the zip or offer alternate link. Thanks
any difference from the leaked 3.1?
does it do 720p or 1080p?
playstation 3 controller driver?
smoother?
no more browser crash?
official 3.1 recovery
Will this update break our custom recovery after flash?

Its different than the leaked version. That 1080p Bourne trailer the one guy is always asking about plays much better now, just like the ASUS rom. Can't wait to OC this build!
Edit: standby is gone from battery stats...we'll have to see if the change is real or just a gimmick. Phone and Telephony are still there obviously...
Up until today I never did anything to my droid x as far as rooting and roms. I kept everything completely factory and android was at its latest version which is gingerbread 2.3.3 and system version 4.5.605.MB810.Verizon.en.US.
My goal today was to finally experiment this and install Liberty Rom. I completely failed because of all the version complications and plenty of other errors. Before I describe my final problem I should backtrack and let you know exactly what I did today so you can possibly get me out of this mess.
1. The very first thing I did was follow all of the steps at a forum on droid-life "How To: Get Rooted Gingerbread On DROID X" sorry it won't let me post the link.
After all of this I ended up with gingerbread again, but I guess a rooted version. No idea why this was the tutorial I followed when trying to install liberty. Throughout the tutorial I ended up buying "Droid X BootStrapper" because the tutorial had me use it.
Right after this tutorial I bought an app called Rom Toolbox for $5.00 downloaded Liberty through it and was trying to install through it. Every time it rebooted I would get a black screen. Never worked so many issues probably because I flashed the wrong sbf or something.
Here are the programs that I ended up buying today:
z4root (free), DroidXBootStrapper ($2.00), Rom Toolbox ($5.00).
That is everything I have done and all of the apps I own. Can someone please start fresh and give me short instructions to start from scratch on how to get the latest and greatest version of Liberty on my droidx from where I'm stuck at now. I want to completely start over and I am willing to do anything. I hope the apps I bought help and I also want to assume 2 of them probably do the same thing and I didn't need them.
Buying those tools will at least help support 2 members of the community (Koush & JRummy).
I'm pretty sure Z4Root does not work on the GB versions of DX firmware. That's probably why nothing is working. You aren't actually getting root.
you are on the .605 version of GB (when you see references to .602, .605, etc ...)
To get root, start here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258599
You may also want to download the Droid2 recovery rather than the DX. The D2 version is a little newer and I think avoids a slight bug on later kernels when Debug is on. The D2 version works just fine on the DX. It can be downloaded free from here:
http://www.koushikdutta.com/2010/08/droid-x-recovery.html
Once you are rooted and have recover properly working, you should be able to use the Rom Toolbox to download and install Liberty. Just make sure you read carefully about the 'version' requirements on any ROM.
Oh ok so I was rooting it wrong.
I easily rooted the phone using Pete's Motorola Root Tools. I realized that Rom Toolbox Pro accesses clockwork recovery when the phone is rebooted instead of the phone just restarting fully. But, I still want to start fresh and do everything from the start again. Please let me know if you have any suggestions in the way or order I am doing things. My phone is currently up rooted at 4.5.596 and rooted by Pete's Motorola Root Tools but I want to start over from the beginning so here is what I am going to do:
Note: Before I do anything I am going to format my SD card for a fresh start.
1. Use RSD_Lite 4.9 to Flash my phone back to 2.3.340 using a file called VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf. I always do this part with no problem.
2. Do a hold power+home then search and do a system wipe/restore. Then Activate service, sign into gmail etc.
3. Now that the OS is loaded (the old version with the grey bars 2.3.340) I am going to root my phone using Petes Root Tools. (I hope I can root it with this tool when the firmware is this version.)
4. Put the 3 zip files I have on my SD card to upgrade to GB 588. Also put my GB 596 file on here.
5. I will download 1 app. D2BootStrapper. Bootstrap recovery, reboot into recovery. Install all 3 zip files from SD card. Now I boot up in GB 588.
6. Now I go right back into D2BootStrapper. Bootstrap recovery, reboot into recovery. Install GB 596. Now I have GB 596 rooted and loaded.
7. After this, shouldn't I be able to download Rom Manager Premium and Rom Toolbox Pro and test as many roms as I want? always reverting back to my original backup.
I noticed after installing liberty I was getting all kind of force close popups. And the phone wouldn't connect to service. But then I just held power + home then hit the up/down arrows and did a wipe/restore and it loaded liberty and everything works. Is this normally what has to be done when installing roms?
If there is anything wrong with my process please let me know. Whew I can't believe all that I learned in 1 day.
You've got a lot of steps there that really aren't necessary. When you install a ROM like Liberty, it replaces EVERYTHING in /system. Thus, about all that is left from a .596, .588, .602, etc install is the kernel. The Kernel doesn't change very often in Motorola builds. The last change was on .602. Thus, for your purposes there is no difference between .602 and .605 (FYI, .605 was just a keyboard fix over .602).
So, if you search around, you should find an SBF or AIO flash file to get you to .602.
Or you can simply take the OTA update from VZW after SBF'ing to .340
Once you've flashed your Rom, be sure to clear data/factory reset. You should then start with a clean system.
Alright, if you don't mind can you please let me know what steps I can avoid.
I didn't think it was possible to have a rooted .605 but I guess I was wrong.
So my goal should be to get to .605, then root it. Then install roms from there?
On your first post you said you were on .605. I'm assuming that is still the case.
If so, then root it with pete's tool (I think you've already done that).
Install D2bootstrap, then ROM Toolbox and install your rom from there.
I have to be honest, in that I've not used Liberty in a while, nor have I used Rom Toolbox. It shouldn't be a problem, just make sure that the version of Liberty you are using is for the GB kernel. Some of the older versions of Liberty (Which I did use, and like) were for the Froyo kernel (in that case, stay on .340 and do your upgrades).
Make sure you wipe data in recovery after installing the ROM. Lots of 'Boot Loops' are due to not wiping data after flashing a new rom.
Yeah
Yeah I read up on all of that. I actually might not end up going with Liberty. Going to try others like ICX. But before I do any of this I need to get to .605.
No I am not at .605 I believe that's where my phone was before I started all of this.
Right now I am flashing back to 2.3.34
Once I am back up and running there. Can you please recommend the easiest way to get to .605 and that will be my final question.
.605 should update automatic. If not you can disable the updater using titanium backup by freezing system updater.
1. Use petes tools install cwm as well
A. Droid x bootstrap get this
B. Titanium backup. Backup your apps
2. Make a backup using cwm and backup apps with tb
3. Put the rom zip files on the sd card.
4. Reboot to recovery. Reformat system data etc
DO NOT REFORMAT THE SD CARD.
5. Wipe cache davik etc.
6 flash rom. And reboot.
7 run tb for your apps
Should be a smooth and clean install. The roms are already rooted so no need to worry about that. Hope this helps

http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?399-UPDATED-GUIDE-LINKS-DX-SBF-s
I would point you to a link here, but couldn't find a quick/easy link to what I wanted.
In this list is an SBF file for .602. Since you seem comfortable with doing SBF's, I would just SBF straight to .602 and root it from there.
Don't know much about ICX, but would encourage you to look at the CM7DXGB thread over at Rootzwiki as well.
ohh, well I just went to Settings > About Phone and its auto updating to .605
Am I not going to be able to root it after this update or should it be fine.

Pete's Root tool should root .605 just fine.
One last thing
As far as Clockwork recovery goes.
Should I always be in the latest version 5.0.2.0 (the blue version)
Or the old version 2.something (the green version)
Why is there 2 version and why would I ever want to flash back to the old version 2.something?

Couple things most of the updates are to add support fix minor bugs etc.
I run the one from petes all the time I forget which version. I haven't had problems.
On my mt4g slide I had to flash a modified verson of clockwork due to my phone being newer and not as much support
With that said its not a difficult process to get a new recovery image. You would need terminal emulator and root explorer. Couple of great guides on here on how to do so. Also other methods as well.
All in all the ones that pete's give you should suffice. Unless your one of the extreame types of people who want the newest or like messing around.
Just remember backups can make the process and hassle of soft bricking your phone much easier to fix and takes a few mins to do.
Look around the forums lots of great information from the devs, experts, etc

The newer version changes the way backups are stored. The new format is smaller and quicker.
Among other issues/bug fixes as mentioned before, but the backup issue is important as the new version will not restore the old style backups.
Ok, the more reading I do the more confused I get.
I have a nook 1.3 that I bought for my son. The reason I chose the nook was because I could put the market on it and give him the games he's always playing on my phone. I'd LIKE to keep the stock reader as well because he's only 7 and I like the read to me feature on it as well. My first attempt to root was an abject failure, and now with 1.4 coming out I'm totally lost.
From my poking around here is some of what I gather:
Some of that I gather is:
The market doesn't work when you use the current root files on 1.4. Or does it? There doesn't seem to be a consensus
Some nooks with 1.3 get the boot loop when using the two "current" nooter files (that's what I experienced), but you can use the older file and just have an older market
At this point, I'd really like to know what my options are. Right now I'm sitting at 1.3, and may (or may not...I think I might have goofed the first root process up) have one of those nooks that hangs. My #1 priority is the market, and #2 (or maybe 1A) is keeping the reader. What are my options for this? Or do I just create a bootable SD card and give him a plain Android tablet until this all washes out?

May I suggest you start from the beginning. Samualhalff here has a great utility to take you to pristine stock. Apply the 1.3 update and use your bootable uSD, install Gapps (latest) and go a step at a time.
I've had success with the above ending up in CM7 7.0.0.3. You'll always have the "reader" using Aldiko, B&N or whatever you choice is.

Ok, I guess it's time to display my ignorance.
First of all I think I AM at pristine stock, but what do I know? The nook came with 1.3 on it (just got it last week), and after my isues trying to root it the only way I was able to get it back working after beein stuck in the boot loop was with the "8 failed boots" method. My understanding that was akin to a factory reset so it was back to just like it was out of the box.
So that brings me to:
- I don't need to apply any updates to get it to 1.3, right?
- When you talk about my bootable uSD card, exactly what do you mean? The only thing I've created is the CockWorksRecoveryMod SD card to apply the ManualNooter files.
- I'm not sure what Gapps is (and I feel like I should)
- If I flash a rom, I understand I can download the B&N (or whatever) Android software, but I though the color stock reader (and only the out of the box reader) had the feature where it could actually read some books to you (a feature I think might be nice for a 7 year old)

OK. Guess maybe I mis-read your post! My fault!
Personally I have never gotten the "hang" of 8 Failed Boots. I have just wiped /data and /system then loaded stock.
If you are at stock 1.3 (and unrooted and no CWM) you can verify in Settings if you wish but it sounds as if you are.
Format your uSD using this. Then follow these directions. This will give you a good format on your card and help you create a working bootable uSD.
I post this as I have seen many uSD card not formatted correctly (never use windows format or your device to format..often corrupts)
You can also load whatever ROM you wish to instalkl on the card but flash it only after you have rooted and installed CWM.
Gapps is Google Apps. Installs Market.

I tried to load stock back, but it seems that ANYTHING I tried to do (including the root) resulted in a boot loop on the "nook color" screen. It seemed that nothing I tried to do did anything but make it loop until I found the faild boot trick. I was even getting an error just trying to wipe the data, which had me worried.
When you talk about loading a ROM on the card and "flashing" it, is that to replace the nook OS with the ROM? I don't think I want to do that now since I'd like to keep the stock reader.
Ideally I'd like to just root and get the Market, but after my first failed attempt, learning that 1.4 is on the horizon, and that some 1.3 nooks seem to get the nook boot loop when using ManualNooter, I'm a little gun shy. At this point I'm thinking I may want to wait until someone has a stable root process for 1.4.
Does the nook have to be rooted if I want to boot an OS from the SD card? I'm thnking that may be my best compromise at this point.

Does the nook have to be rooted if I want to boot an OS from the SD card? I'm thnking that may be my best compromise at this point.

Understand. Actually 1.4 is available right now for download from the Support section on BN site. If you wish, go ahead and get it, load it to the root of your NC, let it go to sleep and it will update automatically for you. (Directions on the BN site) If you wish to load CM7 for instance, you may wish to reload 1.3 for now as I don't see a 1.4 version yet.
Once that is done you will be at stock 1.4 (if you go that way). And yes, you can load your choice of ROM from the uSD. One of the really neat things about the NC is that it boots first to the uSD then to the internal. There are several choices in the Development section to choose from. Try out several and pick the one you like (I prefer CM myself) Keep in mind that booting from the uSD will not be as fast as if it was loaded to your internal but doing this will also keep your stock safe. And no, you need not be rooted to boot from uSD.
For example..... verygreen.
Let me know how it goes!
Ok, cool. So it sounds like my plan for now is to get 1.4 then boot off of an SD card. When and if we can root it successfully, I'll make that jump.
I asked this in another thread, but I'll do so hear as well. What happens to apps I download while booted from the card? Are they installed on the card or the nook internal memory? And if it's the nook memory, what happens when I boot to the nook?

Golly. It's been so doggeone long since I ran anything off the uSD....if I remember right.....Ya know....I believe everything runs from the uSD. I would sideload the apks. Lemme think about that one. That was like Months before last Christmas lol
For what you want, I would just do a MN Root of the stock Nook software. Then you wouldn't have to deal with switching back and forth between CM and stock.

That's my long term goal. but is the root on 1.4 working yet? I tried to do the MN root (but may have missed a step) on 1.3 and got into a boot cycle. I was thinking I'd just let it upgrade then once all the 1.4 stuff was figured out do a root then

From what I've read the 1.4 doesn't have reliable root yet. So you have two choices really. Leave as is and wait (I'm betting root will come to 1.4 eventually) or wipe (system/data) back to 1.3, load and MN/AN.

I'm not sure about the progress of a 1.4 root but I do know that 1.2 is very easy to root as you only have to flash one file.
So unless you really want the small added features of 1.4 I would just revert to 1.2 and stay there until a 1.4 root is finalized.

Can I revert to 1.2 if my nook came with 1.3 on it OOTB?

In doing this nooter on a 1.2 are you still able to have flash and the netflix app work? or do you have to have 1.3 or 1.4? I see 1.4 is bnn making netflix available, but im guessing if you root on a 1.3 you can gain access to the app? is it the same for 1.2? I have the netflix.apk file to sideload in either case. Just curious before I go wiping my nook and starting fresh (was gonna go with cm7 on a disk dual boot with 1.4) or go to 1.3 and manual nooter

Sure can. I ran Netflix on 1.3 (and I'm thinking 1.2 also) but I believe due to a small glitch one needed to modify the build.prop file. Very easy to do really And it works! The posts should still be in the forum. Search Netflix. That should get you what you need.

Girevik, we exchanged messages on this topic in another thread. I wanted to let you know I've had some success with rooting 1.4.1 to the point that it might be suitable for what you want. See message 92 in this thread.
In short: You can sideload apps and run them in the B&N Walled Garden. You can't download or refresh apps, but you can work with sideloaded books and apps. It's not 100% stable yet, but I think with careful selection of sideloaded apps, it may be.

I think I saw that. I'll take a closer look, but to be honest right now I think my son will be be more likely to use the the straight Android boot to have access to the games he's always playing on my phone. I'm hoping that will change, but as this point I'm thinking I'm better off waiting until I can get the Market and Amazon Appstore on 1.4 and just getting the stuff he's used to playing with. I'd really like him to use the BN reader, but realistically I don't know how much he'd use that right now.
Frankly, it comes down to me not really wanting to go through the effort of sideloading the games he plays. I'd really just like to get it connected to the Market and Appstore and downaod the stuff he uses.
If I were you, I'd create a CWR bootable and flash CM7 or one of the other many available ROMs (possibly MIUI, I heard it's pretty top notch, somewhat akin to the layout of iOS). I find the NC's OS somewhat distasteful. I believe Dalingrin once said that he knew the NC better than its creators. Anyways, personal bias coming into account, I flashed CM7.1 and never looked back. It's completely up to you. If you do choose to take my advice, there are alot of good devs who can help you out with the process. Dalingrin and Fattire are 2 of my favorite devs.
I used to have a forum signature... then I took an arrow to the knee.
Please post issues in the GTabCombOver Q&A Thread.
GTabCombOver is an improved version of GTabComb, a Honeycomb 3.0.1 ROM by zyhong. It is a G Tablet ROM, but people have reported that it works with the Hannspad and the ZPad T2 as well. Here are zyhong's original instructions:
STANDARD DISCLAIMER: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. By running this firmware mod, you agree that there is the possibility that you may brick your device and neither myself, XDA nor Viewsonic are responsible for supporting you if that occurs. In this case, it is required that you learn and setup nvflash prior to running this mod.
This is a port of AdamComb with pershoot kernel and some tweak for performance and usability. Thanks all the greatest Adam, Vegan, Gtab devs that make this rom possible.
Install instruction:
1. Make sure the version of your bootloader and download the corresponding rom
2. I guess most of you should already be in CWM, but if you are not. update the recovery to CWM first. Stock recovery might work but you need to do some work and CWM is much better anyway.
3. Wipe data / Factory reset. It might work well, but you will most likely have problems without doing this.
4. Using the "install from sdcard" to install and enjoy.
Change Log:
3.4.2:
rajeevvp's memory tweak.
Flashback 8.1's fix for external sd cards and usb disks.
1.1:
Fix for wifi not loading on bootloader 1.1.
3.4.1:
Updated to latest version of Maps application.
1.2:
Resolution fixed (only the 1.2 edition went out with the wrong resolution set)
CPU frequency restored correctly after sleep
3.4:
Fixes from AdamComb 0.3:
Improves bluetooth
Improves gps
Updated the Market (fixes download issues)
Updated all the other apps that have newer versions
1.2:
Clemsyn's honeycombtrial5 kernel, which greatly reduces the Sleep of Death problem

What version of honeycomb is this 3.0.1 or 3.1?
Does it work with ZPad 3G? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, no one has tried it on anything other than a g tablet, but if GTabComb 3.3 worked on the ZPad 3G, GTabCombOver probably will as well. If you would like to give it a try, let me know how it goes for you.
thanks, i tried gtabcombs and flashback before but they would get sluggish on me until i needed to reboot. so far everything is fine for me on this rom. i did lower the dalvic vm heapsize though.
I'd been using Bottle of Smoke and then Flashback for a while. But Flashback kept crashing on me (shutting down randomly).
So far, this is running smoothly. But, then, I've only had it on the device for about 14 hours. Looking forward to seeing how stable it stays.
(I just wish there was a way to get the camera working on Honeycomb ROMs.)
subscribing for sure.
very excited! thanks for doing this!

Flashback crashes on me whenever it tries to access location services (Maps, etc.).
EDIT: As a matter of fact, so does GTabCombOver. I just installed it and it crashes as soon as Google Maps tries to acquire my location.
Yeah, so did the other ROM. Seems something broke when google updated the new maps app.

Is there any plans to bring 3.1 to the gtablet.. or is there some kind of driver issue... because no one as done it.
I've been waiting for someone to continue work on GTabComb. So thank you for your effort.
Here are my experience with GTabCombover 3.4.2 [BL 1.2]. Let me know what I can do to help make it better.
1. Wiped Data/Cache/Dalvik cache then install and reboot.
2. Login and setup. It auto restore app previously installed on the account.
3. All the apps ran fine. Random freeze and lag.
4. Tried it with and without ADW Launcher EX. Still lag randomly, even while configuring the launcher.
5. gTablet has a 1GB ext3 partition created with the help of CWM (or NVFlash, can't remember).
6. Gallery works. Camera does not.
Has this rom been overclocked as it was done by default on GTabComb?

I had that happen to me once, but a power off and on fixed it. Could you try that and see if it works for you? If not, could you run GetLogs right after the crash to see if that can provide me with any useful information?

I've toyed a bit with 3.2, but so far all I've managed is painful soft-bricks. To my knowlege, there aren't any driver reasons why it can't be done, though.

It uses the same default overclock as GTabComb. On the other hand, it uses a different CPU governor for the 1.2 version, since the kernel on that version doesn't support the governor that GTabComb used.

there is some website out there that is claiming to have gtablet 3.1 rom if you buy it for $18.... There is no proof that it is in fact 3.1 though.

Which website would that be though? I think whoever wrote that it has 3.1 probably got confused with 3.0.1 which is what all g tablet honeycomb versions are.
I've been using gtabcombover for about a week and it has been pretty solid. However, it does seem to use quite a bit of memory. Last night it got *very* slow. I started Memory Booster just to see what the memory situation was and it reported that I only had 2% left (98% used). I killed all tasks and got it down to about 88% used which made it responsive again. But, it shouldn't be using that much memory, should it? After a fresh boot it shows 55% used. Again, is that normal for all ROMs? I never had Memory Booster installed before so I have no idea what I had on my previous TnT 4.40 ROM but I never had the slow down that I had last night either.

After my first reboot, Maps found my location right away, but crashed again after 3 seconds. I rebooted 3 times after that, all with the same exact result. As requested, here's my log. Thank you very much for looking into this.
